Chath looked to his bag and nodded his head. He himself was void of peircings and due to how sensitve his skin was doubted he would be able to stand the pain of getting one. He walked with Ter over to the bag and took out a water bottle and drank about half of it. He offered the rest to Ter.
"need any?" He asked it was a nice day and overheating was a worry that plagued him. He wondered if he should use any water to splash himself down. his skin being slippery when wet could help....but he doubted he would stay that way for long. Best save his magic for later.
"The rules are simple, i put the timer on 5 or ten minutes intervals when the timer goes off we cease our actions immediately. Your not allowed to leave the ring. Doing so is forfetting the match and the fight will also cease immediately." he started his rules were fiarly obvious but his tone was stern. He took the rules very seriously.
Keir looked at the wyvern interested, but then snorted and went back to sitting. Though the class sounds interesting enough, here I thought you had a plan that involved the here and now.. he muttered but nodded his head. Don't doubt that I won't take you up on the offer...next time we have a class set up for the soul purpose of fighting look for me.

Ter moved over to the bag so that he could shed his many metal bits, one in the nose, two in his lower lip, and four from each ear they were set togeter in the bag and then he ran a hand over his face, "I feel naked without them." He said, they were the only thing he wore after all... he then got his money that was hidden under a scale and tossed it down with the metal.
He listened to the rules as they were laid down, thinking them over closely but decided that since Chath sounded rather pro-rules he wouldn't look for any loopholes. May as well behave himself for at least the moment, "Sounds fair." He said, slithering over and into the ring, coiling up and preparing. His teacher had said once it was good to be coiled and able to use that for a lunge.
Baroness gave a grin, "I am planning with what I have, for some reason our boys don't want us to have any fun." She said, then glanced over at him, "Hrm... what are they doing?" Surely they weren't going to be fighting it out when they wouldn't allow her and Keir too...? How unfair and of no fun at all that would be.

Chath laughed at Ter's comment of feeling nakid. Wasn't the snake always nakid? Since didn't feel he could go nakid...he did have parts that couldn't hide themselves afterall. He set the timer for a five minute round first...they could see how fast one could go down. Chath was already excited. Adrenaline already starting to pump through him this would be his first real non-dragon match.
There was a ding and chath hurried counting under his breath the ten seconds he really got to get into the ring before the timer offically started. He positioned himself low to the ground so he could spring from either angle or direction even backwards if need be. His arms were out to the sides to keep his balance stable, his whole manner seemed solid. HIs normally happy attitude seemed to have vanished as he focusd on the snake trying to read his moves. he anticipated the snakewould attack first..or wait for him to advance close enough in range to make a lunge. For the moment...he only watched.
Keir's attention was now rivited to the ring. He knew they weren't truely fighthing. A brawl meant they wouldn't be following the rules of the ring...but he felt a bit of anger seeth. He was Chath's partner in battle...not this ...this thing. Your child is going to lose.. he commented flately.

Ter shifted some, hands lifting up as he flexed his fingers in preparation, he watched the newt closely, taking in the way he was postioned before he decided how to strike. He gave it a moments thought before he struck, deciding to start off the match with a lunge straight forward at him. If he missed there would be plenty of his coils that he could try to catch Chath with afterall.
Baroness watched her boy for a moment, laying down and took a comfortable position up. Her tail swished back and forth before she said, "I can't see my boy losing to yours." She said, giving a shrug. Ter was a fighter, he could do it!
Given she wasn't allowed to fight with Keir best she could hope for was a vicarious win through Ter against Keir's boy.

Anticipating the attack he managed to do a diagnol back leap on his right. Landing, he feet moved on instinct, Ter had range that was for sure but in the air it was very hard to change your direction, so he dashed forward careful to avoid getting within range of his coils he then summoned two water spheres about the size of kid volley balls, and instead of aiming them towards Ter he aimed for the ground where Ter should land. Wet grass would make it VERY hard to stop your momentum, and much like a water slide you tend to keep going forward.
He would wait for Ter to land before dashing forward he didn't want to risk getting too close before seeing the results. Ter weighing as much as he did would also hamper his being able to stop he guessed and he needed enough time to get behind Ter to try a head lock move. In the dpeths of his mind he realized he would need to stradle Ter in order to get the full force of the hold on him....this ws just a minor detail that would cause him to be embaressed later for sure.
For what he lacks in actually fights he makes up training with me. Keir stated proudly his wings fluttering in his arrogance.

Ter wasn't exactly surprised when Chath dodged out of the way, he was a bit surprised though when he called up that magic of his. He was all ready to get hit by them and instead saw them instead hit the ground in front of him right before he landed. He had a split second to decide how to react to the situation. The snake's hands landed first and he used the momentum he had to throw his body into a roll. It slowed him down faster then were he to slid since his coils all were forced to roll as well and they didn't do so very fast, ended up just in a bit of a heap.
He gave a grummbling sound, well that was a learning experiance he thought to himself. He pushed up onto his elbows and looked over at Chath, grinning. The newt had said magic was hard on him, he would have to move quickly then! His coils shifted and moved, righting themselves and he tensed up, readying to strike again.
"Mine sounds like just the opposite, lots of fight and not as much training." Ter's version of training was getting into fights instead of actually training in any sense of the word. She believed her boy would prevail for this reason, experiance counted for a lot. Her tail was wagging that much more as she watched, the fight actually getting her quite excited just by watching.

Chath hadn't anticipated Ter's quick thinking. He cursed himself for underestimating Ter's thought pattern and he knew he had risked everything in that move, the sheer size of water he had summoned and the fact it had been two spheres was a huge drain on him. He breathing was already labored and they were only two minutes into this fight. He now cursed himself for his own stupidity. Never put all your eggs in one basket as they say. Now he had to figure out the best move that involved the least amount of effort. And he had to do it fast.
Time was against them if he wanted the battle to be over quickly he needed to force Ter out of the ring. Given his own body size and weight he knew forcefully pushing Ter out wasn't an option. Should he risk another water sphere? Or perhaps . . .
Chath collasped to one knee a fingers of his right hand groping his chest as if in pain. It wasn't too far from a lie, his whole body screamed in pain but for the most part he ignored, he hoped to feint and thusly have Ter lower his gaurd before making a next move, he needed to be closer to be effective but closer also meant more dangerous. Only a studied eye would notice him producing the toxin on his skin, from a pervious fight he knew it wasn't effective unless swallowed not that he thought Ter would be biting him but the slickness on his skin should make it harder to coil around.
Keir cranned his neck as he watched Chath fall to one knee. A 'worried' expression no not quite worry more like confused look on his face. His boy couldn't be out of the action already, he could last ten minutes against him and that was after taking hits, what was going on? Keir studied his kid, he did in fact look to be in a lot of pain, had he reached some form of a breaking point? Too dehydrated perhaps? He fidgeted on the spot trying to figure it out. If Chath didn't win he would never hear the end of ti from Baroness....and that alone would be enough to set him of to attack her again. Cranning his neck he noticed a very subtile movement in Chath's position, his foot was sliding ever so slowly into a position that would allow him to leap forward......so this was all a trick was it? Smart boy.

Ter wanted to curse the fact that suddenly he was hearing that b*****d Thomas's voice in his head. His coils shifted as he debated a moment. Should he stop the fight so that the newt could rest? The end of his tail twitched, he didn't want to be the one that called the fight, if he did then that would be him losing... His muscles tensed and then he lunged. The way he saw it if he could pin Chath then that would end the match as well surely, then the newt could get his water and take a break.
Instead of a directe lunge though he instead lunged at an angle, aiming not to clobber into him but instead to go passed him. If he could do that and given the other boy was kneeling his back would be exposed to attack!
Baroness wanted for a moment to curse at her child when he hesitated, no he wasn't supposed to do that! One was supposed to always attack weak prey, made them easier to take down. No pity for them... a smile spread across her mouth when her snake moved to attack, good. No rest for the weak, only defeat.

Chath's head snapped up,his eyes narrowed as he realized Ter wouldn't stop to see if he were okay. Funny how you learned so much about a person just but having a duel. His hand that had been steadying himself gathered a fist full of grass and some dirt and then forcing power into his legs he sprang up and darted in the same direction that Ter was headed, they would collide.
Chath had attempted to match the speed and velocity of Ter's movement. He brought his limbs in close to his body to do a shoulder check, his fist clenched the dirt tightly trying to keep it from trailing from his fingers he would need it for a last resort. Nothing fancy now, just raw instinct and practice rippled through his movements. A drastic change from experimenting moves and testing out a humanoid partner, once he realized that Ter would give him no quarter or sympathy his mind switched to how he fought with Keir. His black wouldn't let up nor give pity even once Chath was wounded and Chath learned that this...meant life or extreme injury if he wasn't careful.
Keir nearly lept to his feet in excitement, this was more exhilarating than doing it himself. Well close anyway. The black found it rather fantasizing to watch Chath change tactics in a split moment it was like watching an entirely different Chath. And he was learning a lot about the kids movements and habits. He buried the information away in his mind...he would find it useful later.

Newt met Snake in a sort of crash in the middle of their respective lunges, Ter was a bit surprised, air getting knocked out of him... but even as he and Chath crashed into each other his arms snapped around the newt. It wasn't what he'd planned but at least this way he't gotten hot of the newt.
He was also incredibly impressed. He probably shouldn't be so impressed with the one he was battling especially when they were battling but... come on! That was to cool that the newt would actually tackle him! He did what he could to hold onto him with his arms and tried to get his coils moving, he had to wrap him like he did that bird!
Baroness gave a happy sound, her grin getting bigger to the point her teeth were all barred. This was so cool! She didn't even care at the moment who was going to win... though she would care later mind you. For now she was more interested in the sound they had made upon impact...

It was bruised, he could feel the jolt of pain run through his shoulder as gravity took over and they fell together to the ground. He realized his eyes were closed and then Ter's arms were around his body. Quick now, he struggeled to get a hand out the one with dirt in it. If he let Ter get him in a hold he wouldn't escape the coils.
Perhaps the toxin had helped, he felt more pool out of his pores as he wiggeled his arm out of Ter's tight grip, he also bent his body arching his uppper body forward and accidentally bringing his head colliding into Ter's jaw.
He saw stars. His vision went black for a moment, panic surged within him. Black. Nothing he couldn't see anythin...ah there was somethin coming in now. Fuzzy, for it was Ter's collar bone that he saw.
Keir gave a roar of laughter, too much. Too too funny. They crashed! Right into each other! And he knew chath had problems with getting up close an pesonal in a fight.

Ter let out a rather vivid curse that one his age probably shouldn't know let alone say when Chath used a headbutt. His jaws snapped together in an all together painful way and he was rather lucky not to have pierced his own tongue on his teeth... he felt a wave of dizzy mix with a wave of angry, not that he was mad at Chat it was just a natural reaction to pain. To get angry and want to fight more, maybe he should have a better defense mechanism like... well defending himself?
He scrabbled to try to keep hold of the newt but was finding it a bit more difficult between the stars behind the eyes and the fact that he felt... wet? Had he used some water trick on himself to be slippery? Crap, crap...! He struggled more to keep the hold of the increasingly hard to keep hold of newt tail finally grabbing hold of ankle... slippery there to though.
Baroness pushed up to her legs trying to get a good look at what was going on. My, my this was getting funnier and funnier as it went, "Wouldn't it be amusing if Z and Ligeia appeared now?" She found herself saying what would the two 'girls' think if they saw their mates rolling around together...

There was distinct buzzing sound filling the air now. It hadn't been there a moment ago. The buzzer had sounded that the match was over. Chath was relieved he felt a grip on his ankle but merly rolled off of Ter while he gasped for breath he was still seeing spots in his vision and he made a mental note not to ever headbutt someone again, accidentally or not.
"G..good match." he wheezed between breaths bringing up his webbed hand to touch his temple. He wondered if there was blood...his head sure was pounding. His one shoulder still throbbed in pain and he felt very sick all of a sudden.
Keir nodded his head, though he still found it odd that Chath had choosen a male to be his mate it still would of been a funny sight to see their reaction.

Nooo! Blasted buzzer ending the fun when it was just getting good Ter thought to himself, releasing Chath and stood up, stretching out from head to the tips of his fingers to the tip of his tail many feet of coils away, "Yeah, that was great." He said, rubbing his jaw. Damn but that was going to ache for a while... he made a swishing sound in his mouth then spat out some red. Nice! Blood. That made it even more interesting to him.
He looked over at Chath a moment then tilted his head to the side, "You gonna make it? Dehydrated or something?" He asked, maybe he was needing water? He'd mentioned it before having a problem of dehydration.
Baroness gave a little huffing sound, well that was no fun! The fight ended when it was getting good. Her tail set to swishing back and forth, boring! If she knew the human word for it she would have yelled it at them.

Chath knew he would be fine eventually; his head was just spinning. He gave a chuckle at Ter's words, this was great? Ter was spitting blood and Chath felt like moving was a bad idea. Evening out his breathing he pushed the ache away mentally and sat up.
“Yah some water is a good idea. Heh for five minutes that sure was a tough match.” He said with a as he went to stand up. His wobbled slightly, his blood rushing to his head as he stood. He was still for a moment before finally moving over to where his pack was.
“We should train together, it would be nice to have a different opponent aside from Keir.” He mentioned over his shoulder as he grabbed a full water bottle and drank half the contents eagerly. His head was starting to clear that was a good sign. He then doused himself with the rest of the contents his skin goose bumping at the sudden chill.
Keir for once agreed with her. Next time he would make sure to break that blasted timer so the fight could last longer. At the point where they stopped it was too hard to tell who would of won the battle.
