dude, my mom once dated a gay guy to help him keep his secret. the only problem is, what if while you guys were dating, a girl who found you attractive thought you were straight? but thats the only consequence. anyways, i get what your sayin about not wanting to hurt your mom. mine's a really big reason why i can never tell... that, and my dad and sister can't stand lesbians or gay marriage.
