When she spoke his ears flickered to the sound of her voice. Her words registered in his little head, but his facial expression didn't seem to change at all. His eyes and thoughts were still focused on his sword strikes, precisely getting each of them correct. While his strokes followed through with each other, he spoke in such a...neutral tone which made it seem as if he was subconsciously responding to her.
"For now without a target is what I need. I need to practice my swings first to ensure there is no waste of movement. They have to flow naturally as if it were second nature. It is only then that I can start on sparring with a real target." As he spoke his sword movements continued. For such a young age, his sword movements were smooth and wasted very little movements.
With one last stroke he effortlessly and smoothly sheathed his sword and turned his attention back to his newly made friend. He smiled softly as he spoke, "Yes, I know it is no game," he assured.

Nyh narrowed her eyes at his distracted voice. So it was sorta like daydreaming, but more focused and aware. She pursed her lips and her ears fell forward. "Naturally, eh?" Sounded like her own abilities. She'd have to practice them before reassuring on them in a conflict. But she had enough abilities to spare, thus didn't worry about it. Worry would only distract her further.
She watched as he continued his display, now turned more into a solo practice. A yawn and stretch sometimes crossed the girl, but otherwise, she simply watched. When he was finished, she gave a slow clapping. "Not bad at all. But then again, I know nothing of swords." She waved off that little fact. "Well, it can be a game. If you weren't Mr. Serious. You may call it sparring, but normal people who have fun just call it kit tumbling." Like kids were supposed to do.

He grinned at her words. They were true, but he wouldn't change his ways. He feared he wouldn't be able to contain his own strength if the moment caught up to him. It was best to not take the chance. Accidents happen because of carelessness, which is why they're called accidents.
"Perhaps another time. Accidents happen because of carelessness. I would not want anything to happen to you because of simple mistakes on my part. Then again, I really am not the 'normal' type of kit, am I?"

"Sure, I'll hold your word to it." At least he had swayed alittle, even if it was just to shut her up about it. It worked. Nyh stood and sauntered up to the other, tails flicking proudly. Curiously, she tapped on the anklet, then peered at the tail tattoo. "Wow, your certainly aren't normal." And she grinned almost kindly. "But that's a good thing."
Her mind took her down a different road, and she blinked in surprise. "Geez, I can imagine what your mom is like then. She'd probably smack me just for the way I speak." >.< Oh well, Nyh would just find a way to weasel herself out of danger. She shook her head with a chuckle. "I know my dad would like you. My mom is another crazy story though." She never knew how her parents got along so well.

Sigurd chuckled at the mention of his mother. Even if she was a strict mother, he understood how she functioned. It was hard for her to openly express her feelings. She was usually cold most of the time, but subtly caring and loving. She was looking out for him, that's all. To outsiders it would seem as if his mother cared very little for him, but in fact that was far from the case.
"No, she would not. She probably would not care very much for how you spoke, so as long as you did not bring up any taboo subjects. As for your parents...I would like to meet them someday. They sound very caring. Well, at least your father does. And I am sure mine would be pleased to meet you as well. At least my mother would," he smiled.

"Well that's a relief." But still, she couldn't get a clear description of the lady kitsu. She'd just have to meet her to know for certain. As for her own parents... "Heh, they won't mind extra company. And my siblings would enjoy a new face to meet. Oh, did I tell you I have siblings?" Nyh blinked, not remembering if she did so or not. "I have two brothers and one sister. I swear the boys are more girly than us though." Pfft, must be like father like son. Or something. o__o
She glanced back to her room's door, wondering if they were all still asleep even.

"I am positive that if you met her you would not forget her. She is a rather unforgettable image," he chuckled lightly, "She wears this set of blue armor all the time. But in any case, I am sure she would be happy to meet you as well as happy for the both of us that we became friends," he nodded lightly.
Siblings? He had two of them. Both of who he never met before. A rather depressing thought, but he was sure he would meet them someday. "Really? I have two siblings. I am the middle child. I have an older brother and younger sister. I have never met either of them, sadly. But I will someday, I am sure of that."

"Blue armor, eh?" She had seen pictures in books. She didn't know the kitsu form could actually wear any though. Sounded intriguing. Her form froze, before her pale face flustered. "Friends, don't get your hopes up." She turned to glare at the side, trying to keep up her mean front. Though, it was a cool word. So long as the other wasn't boring.
Nyh let the facts sink in her head. Never seeing your siblings? Well, it wasn't too hard to bump into others. At least that's what her parent's had said. She shrugged to herself and Sigurd. "Eh, I'm the older sister. But the brothers are older than both of us." Darn, wimpy brothers. "Can you imagine meeting them? You think they'll be taught to grow up like you did?"

The young kit grinned lightly at her obvious denial. "Then let us consider ourselves acquaintances for now? Or somewhere between friends and acquaintances. Either way, I have no doubts that we will eventually become friends."
He shook his head lightly at the thought of another similar to himself. They should grow up relatively normal--free like kits should be. "I think if they grew up to be however they wanted--so as long as they are satisfied with themselves that it will be better than if they grew up to be like myself."

Nyh counted to ten, pretending to consider his offer. Even if she already knew the answer. Ten. "Alright. That sounds fine." Her ice eyes peered at his sea ones quizzically. "Better? Why, are you unhappy this way?" But he seemed so sure and true to this way of growing up. Still, she just knew it'd be a great new experience for him to just have fun.
"Well, either way, you are unique. I find that interesting and unboring. So, I want to hear each little interesting story you face in life. PRomise?" And she held out her pinky claw.

He shook his head lightly to disagree with her statement. On the contrary, he was more than satisfied with his personality. "No, there is nothing wrong with mine. But if your brothers grew up similar to myself, I nor they would no longer be unique, am I correct? Then we would all become rather boring, do you not think so? I think if that was the case you would cease your interest in me," he laughed lightly at the thought.
The young boy held out his pink claw, wrapping it as much as he could around hers, "I promise. And a true gentleman never takes back his word," he nodded.

Her face had stretched down in a comical grimace, jaw dropped with eyes in denial. "Please, if my brothers did grow up like you, at least I have the right to tackle them whenever!" There'd be no hesitation since they were her own kin. "And unique is more than just attitude, don't you know? You had approached simply because of my cool looks." Big grin of pride.
With pinkies tied, she shook their paws. "Hah, agreed then!" And she chuckled at his words. "Okay, sure. But for now your still only a gentleboy."

He smiled sheepishly at her response. Yes, he did in fact follow her because of her looks. But who could help their curiosity with such a look? Feathers lined across her back. She had no wings, either, which made it all the more curious.
"Yes, gentleboy," he chuckled at the sound of that. He wouldn't deny it. He was still just a kit. "Maybe next time I will ask my mother if she would accompany me so you could meet her."

His smile was matched with her own. But instead of being sheepish, it was bright with knowing. Hah, she finally pegged him on something! "Yep yep! Your nickname is gentleboy and you shall be my gentleboy." She tackled him in a tomboyish hug. "Cause your my first....accepted friend." Everyone else she had scared away or shrugged off. .__.
Just as quick as it started, she jumped back and wagged her tails. "Hmm, I guess so. It'd probably happen eventually. And you'll likely meet my dad before my mom. But eh, who knows." He may even bump into one of her siblings before she evere knew of it.

He blinked in surprise at the hug. First physical contact of another kitsu. Sigurd patted his newly made friend lightly on the back during the embrace. It felt comforting to contact another kitsu, especially one his own age.
"I would love to meet them someday. I am sure they are wonderful parents."
