Adair looked at him, and then shrugged, "Alright." He still didn't understand but the guy was clearly getting anoyed with the talking, another thing Adair was confused about. Why did he not like talking? Still, maybe they could find something that didn't invole him talking to do. "So...would you like to play outside?" Adair asked.

Kainda grined, "Adair already met Gavin, but they didn't start on perfectly good terms, but then again nether has Adair and Holden, maybe that will just be a trend for him."

Holden thought about it for a moment before nodding. Outside was always fun, even more so when there was other people who would run around with him. Maybe he could even show off Hamlet. He nodded again and got up.

Tristan again laughed a little, "Holden doesn't like Gavin much. Something to do with an alien, I'm not sure what about one, but an alien."

"Great!" Adair jumped up and looked around as he tried to think of a game to play. "Do you know how to play pretend games?" Adair figured since Holden didn't want to talk he could just ask yes or no questions so the boy could nod or shake his head, and pretend games didn't need words, so he should be good.

"An...alien?" Kainda asked, then snorted, "Wow...that's odd. Does Holden have any other friends? I don't know that many people here, so I'm still on the look out for others."

Holden nodded, he played pretend a lot and he liked them, although it was usually alone or with his puppy. He would be thankful for the yes or no questions too, the only other person who ever thought to do that was Tristan and even then he wasn't so good at remembering.

"Yeah, Gavin is an interesting boy," Tristan and grinned a little, "Holden has met one other kid I think, Ina, a little girl, she has a tail too, I think she was a dog, maybe a wolf I don't remember."

"Do you like priates?" Adair asked him, "Or we can do knights. If you want priates hold up your hand with one finger, two for knights." Adair instructed, grining at the silent racoon boy. This could work in his favor, if Holden doesn't say anything then Adair could be in charge. He liked being in charge.

"I met him once before Adair did. We fell out of a tree together." Kainda laughed at the memory and even rubbed her back in rememberence of the pain. Not that it mattered much. "Wolves, tricky people." Kainda muttered, thinking about a little wolf girl, "Good friends, bad enemies. Sadly I've known them as both."

It was a hard choice, pirates or knights, plundering or saving princesses? How could you choose between being two such awesome things? In the end the idea of plundering shiny things won over the raccoon in him and he held up one finger. They would play pirates.

"I've only ever know them as... wolves I guess... the quadruped kind you know, and the pack seemed to get along pretty well,' Tristan said, his normal smile fading a little. He was talking about the wolves at the zoo he had worked at what seemed so long ago and he missed it. Those were his happiest days, "but I spent more time with the cats, so I could have missed something."

Adair nodded with a bright smile, "Pirates it is!" Adair said happily, grinning as they headed down the stairs. The boy didn't think to ask for permision to go outside, he was never told to before.

"You worked with cats?" Kainda asked, her ears perked a little bit as she looked over to the stairs. "Where are you boys going?" Kainda asked.

"Out. We're going to be pirates!" Adair said excited, his wings spreading wide. "I'm going to be the Captian and Holden will be my loyal first mate."

"Well don't get lost." Kainda more suggested than ordered.

A bit of red crossed Tristan's cheeks. He didn't like talking about what he use to do all that much because it brought up akward questions when people knew what he did now (and Kainda did).

"uh... yeah," He muttered but was saved from talking about it more at that moment when the boys showed up, "You two be careful alright."

Holden, being a boy who had a habit of sneaking out also didn't think much in the way of asking. He merely nodded at the parents and at their warnings and went straight for the door, standing on his tip toes to reach and open it.

Adair nodded vaugly. He and Kainda were at an awkward part of their realtionship, nether knowing Kainda's power over him yet, or when she'd have to prove herself. For now both were comfortable with letting things slid for as long as possible.

The gryphon child was glad that Holden could reach the door knob, he had better hands and was just taller. Adair walked out, feeling better outside, with the sun and the air. He streatched up his hands even as his mind was thinking what they could do for pirates.

"There be a treasure we be seeking." Adair groweled in his best pirate brouge. "Where do you think it be old Blackeyes?" Adair groweled, then in his normal voice added, "You can just point." Not wanting to force his new friend to talk.

Kainda smiled a little, glad that Adair was at least getting closer to Holden. He seemed pretty excited to go out to play. "Oh, so why did you work with cats?" Kainda asked. "Seems weird to go from cats to fast food."

Hmm. Where would treasure be? Holden wondered as he looked around. treasure was usually in sand but as far as he knew there were no sandy places around. If only they had a map, a good map with a big X on it so they knew where to look.

He decided the garden would be the best bet though and pointed in that direction but let Adair lead the way. He was the Captain after all.

"Yeah, I uh, worked at a zoo for a while, " he said cursing his luck that he hadn't gotten out of this topic of conversation so easily, "but that was quite a while ago. I got another job and when I quit there I got the fast food job while I was between better jobs just to make sure I had an income, its only temporary," he said trying to explain the best he could without saying too much. The fast food job was suppose to be temporary, she didn't need to know he had been working there for about a year and a half though.

Adair nodded, wishing he had a sword or something. He looked around, trying to find something that would work well in the sword catagory and was over joyed to find a thick stick. He raced over and grabed it, weilding it high as he cut the air a few times.

"Follow me maties!" Adair groweled, rushing forward, ambling more than running, his pudgy little legs and awkward hands made running hard, but he managed it. "Victory and treasure await us!"

Kainda nodded as she streached out a little, wondering what that be like, to want a job to be temporary, to have the skills, the experience, the schooling to get better. Her eyes closed as she tried to image it and then she just stuck her tounge out.

She'd go crazy in a month.

"Well good for you. I wish you luck in finding a better job. I hold a special place of hate in my heart for fast food. But hey, they'll hired anyone and it is useful."

Holden followed after him smiling. While he wished he had a sword too it didn't matter too much. He was having fun, Adair's pirate talk was really rather amusing.

Tristan raised his eyebrow a little as Kainda closed her eyes and stuck out her tounge, not sure exactly what it was that she was thinking about but didn't bother to inquire.

"Thanks," he said after she spoke, "and I hate it too, I wish I worked elsewhere but nothing has come up yet."

Adair moved quickly, holding his 'sword' high as he saw enemies drop from the trees. Bounty hunters and rivial priates working together to defeat the mighty Gryphon and his first mate Blackeyes.

But Blackeyes was unarmed and that was dangerous. With another quick scan Adair was overjoyed to see another stick. With a leap forward the young soul landed on all fours, snatching the extra stick and persented it to his first mate.

"Arm ye self matey." he urged, and grined as he truned to face the empty feild in front of them. "There be enemies everywhere. We must to me treasure! Forward lads attack together!" Adair groweled and charged, slashing at the air, killing in his mind.

"I don't know what it be like to work a job below my skills." Kainda said quietly, then laughed, "Though I do know what it's like to hate work but that's work no?" There was no such thing as a dream job to Kainda. A dream job to the kitsune was no job at all, a very sudden, very large inheritance of the perfect kind, but since Kainda doubted it would happen she worked. "The point is to make your homelife so enjoyable work is standable."

Holden took the 'sword' for his captain happily, glad to be armed. He joined the imaginary fray, swinging his stick around frantically at the enemies he couldn't see, grinning like a mad man.

Tristan just nodded. To be honest his current job was the only one he had ever hated working. When he was younger, living in the country he had found it pretty easy to find jobs he liked and afterwards it was right into the zoo. Up until now work had been enjoyable to him.

"Yeah, Holden and Hamlet make life barible," Tristan agreed, "if it weren't for them, life would be terrible."

Adair held his sword high and charged his invisable foes. The boy's eyes narrowed as not only did his sword slash and stab at the enemies, his claws moved out too, slashing harshly as he jumped and dodged. His eyes glanced back to Holden, wanting to be sure his first mate was holding his own.

Kainda smiled, as she understood that, and glanced out the door. "I'm not entirely sure about Adair yet." she admited, because, somehow, she knew Tristan would understand her worries. He hadn't seemed to judge her once since they met, and that was really nice. So many people did for...so long. "I mean, he's a nice kid, you know? Just, we haven't known each other long and I have bad luck with family. I'm hopping my brother might come over soon. My brother can charm anyone. He's lucky like that."
