Dear heart, I am 30 and I got into the fashion last year. I don't look like I'm 30, I look like I'm still in my early 20's and I'm going to continue to dress Lolita until I die. Even if it means I have to buy longer skirts and go into the elegant look, so be it. This is me in my first JSK from In The Starlight and I think I look darling. I got the socks, bloomers, and petticoat from ITS as well.

I really don't care. Age to me really isn't that important although seeing a 80 year old in loli might be kinda freaky, I'm wearing loli till I die. Look, I'll probably shop beforehand for a funeral dress. I live in loli, I'll die in loli, and I'll be buried in loli...but I'm probably thinking too far ahead of my life. sweatdrop

age is but a number that will one day not hold a person back.
such as race and gender once did.
in my opinion, at least.
i think you could be seventy two and wear lolita. as long as you portray yourself correctly and don't do it because someone else did. as long as it's for your enjoyment you can wear lolita.

I think most any age is acceptable for lolita but.... some things can play into how well someone can pull it off WELL.... some people have the face and figure that is visually younger than normal while others are visually older....
the younger looking can easily pull off sweet lolita, some shiroi lolita, and only some EGL....
the older looking pull off egl more readily and while they can still pull of some sweet or shiroi.... kuroi and egl are easier...
but no matter the age.. wearing lolita is still possible.....
of course there is also body type and coloring buuuuutttt... I'll leave that untill later to discuss.

Age doesn't matter. Life is short, enjoy it! The ideal is to pick outfits that suit both your age and figure, but don't let it define who you are and what you can or can't do.

Am 24 years old but if I go to buy booze get carded and am in england so is legal to buy wine from 18, so I guess I'm in the clear although do tend to dress more kuro or elegant styles. Maybe once my body is a lil closer to the appropriate shape I will start dressing more in aristocrat style.

I don't care what my age is or whether it suits me or not, I'll keep wearing lolita as long as I enjoy it smile I'm 26, into sweet style and lolita clothes probably make me look a bit heavier than I am, but I don't care. The only time I see myself is in photos and mirrors.
It is really fun for me to dress up nicely and it makes me feel all girly and cute.

i think that if you like the way you look then wear it. you'll see me the 97 year old woman waltzing around(well with my knees i'll probably be in a wheelchair lol sweatdrop ) in my $300 frilly pink bow-infested baby jsk because i think it makes me look cute.

At A-kon one year, I saw an old lady, about in her 60s wearing Victorian/elegant lolita. She was amazing, I wish I took a pick of her, but it fit her so perfectly, and she had an aristocratic air about her.
