Alaura heard the screams outside her window, yet they were faint and distant to her ears. She was in a trance-like state, staring at the beautifully crafted sapphire necklace which lay in her hands. She sat in the middle of her floor, legs crossed, her long white hair let free from its tie so that it cascaded down her back and onto the floor. Her golden eyes were locked on the gorgeous trinket before her, delving deep into it with all her trained senses to find its magical purpose. There, a slight flicker in its depths. She had located the hidden treasure of this already beautiful piece, giving it more worth to her than to any normal being. Her golden eyes echoed the flicker in the gem as excitement showed clearly on Alaura's face. Now she had simply to extract the magic, to pull it from the depths of the gem to the surface, so that she may use it at will. It would forever remain in that sapphire, but she would merely be able to call upon it should the time of need arise, so long as the gem was on her person.
A light breeze seemed to rustle through Alaura's hair as she sat there, yet her window was closed shut. The breeze picked up until her hair whipped about her as if torn by a great wind, yet the rest of her seemed utterly unphased. She was so focused on her work, she had forgotten about the affects that surrounded her in this proccess. For the extracting of the magic was quite difficult, and something only the most practiced of her people could perform without damaging themselves or others. However, she had made a hobby of such a thing, having found out the secrets of this art long ago when she had still been very young. Her golden eyes began to glow softly, though the glowing only increased with each passing second. She held her hands out before her, the sapphire necklace resting in her open palms. The pendant then began to lift from her hands, a blue glow starting in its depths, though it soon crept outward, encompasing the whole gem. Soon Alaura's eyes and the gem itself shone with the same brilliance. A smile crept across her lips as all at once the wind died completely.
An odd silence took the room for a moment, even the sounds from the street outside could not be heard. It was as though she had gone deaf, yet her hearing was still intact. The gem slowly floated down to rest in Alaura's hands once more, and both gem and eyes stopped glowing. It was complete, and now she had the knowledge of what this little piece did. She decided that it was best kept a secret, so she tucked the gem away in one of her pouches, a particular one locked by magic, so that it appeared empty to any thief who might dain to steal it. She closed it tight and tied it to her waist once more, then looked about the room. Now the sounds outside rushed back to her, and curiousity sparked within her. For a moment, her thoughts distracted, she forgot that she was not wearing her cloak. She stood from the floor and headed over to the window, opening it so that light spilled over the room. She poked her head outside to see what the comotion was about, and saw a sight that did not please her. A frown overtook her features as she stared at a demonic presence, faced with the man she had heard singing earlier, the man she had briefly followed into that bar.

(I'm not a fan of moving the roleplay to a source outside of gaia...)

((I must say that I agree with Baron Von Badass. However, it is your roleplay, and therefore your call.))

{ I don't like this disorganized fashion. If I move it to a bigger forum, it'll be easier to keep all the areas and posts organized. Shortly, I will be closing this RP thread because I cannot easily keep track of all the posts made here. }

(but there's only three people, and we don't get gold for posting in a forum)

{ Roleplaying is about passion, not stupid Gaia Gold. So you're only roleplaying here for gold? }

((I really don't see how this is disorganized. I happen to be quite fond of Gaia's roleplaying system. Also, I checked out the link you provided, and I found myself becoming quite confused.))

(yeah, I can't really get passionate in a three person roleplay. It's not hard to keep track of things, considering the amount (or lack) of people in this particular roleplay. Creating an entirely new forum is just unnecessary. That's why we're on gaia....)

(I'm not even sure my web-browser loads the whole page, and I've found that the events are rather linear, (and I'm quite new to this roleplay (Having only one post so far) I can't quite understand why you think its as confusing as you say. But as said before it IS your RP.)
Matari heard the screams and stirred from her relaxed state. "Hmmm?" Then the ground began to tremble. She started to worry, knowing that this couldn't be a good sign. Suddenly an allosaurus came rushing past, blowing her hair up with its speed. Matari blinked a few times as she watched the beast head down toward the castle. "Do wonders ever cease?" She asked herself as she donned her knuckle, deciding it was about time for another adventure to begin. She hopped to her feet, and gave chase to the allosaur.
