I'm not afraid. Probably because I really haven't put much thought into it. I live life like there's no tomorrow, and accept the fact that everyone dies at some point. So, I guess I'm pretty chill with death.

I'm scared of death, but then again. I've died before and came back and there really wasn't nothing to it. I just don't wanna be a ghost trapped on earth or anything. If I die and become a soul, I wanna be able to cross over. Become a spirit.

Mr .406 What are your thoughts on death itself? Is it something that you fear? Why or why not? Im not afraid of death or of dying. im not afraid because death is a natural thing. everything and everyone has to die eventually. its just the way of life.

Death is not the end but it's the begin of a new life. To help and guide the ones who remain on this earth.

Tenrai Kado Death is not the end but it's the begin of a new life. To help and guide the ones who remain on this earth. I agree with that, I have a theory, well most people's theory was that once you day you rebirth with your mind reset.

No, I do not fear death. It is a natural normal process. It happens to every one who is born. I believe that after death we go on to the spirit world. There we meet with others who passed, reflect on the lessons learned from life, and then after a while are reborn.
I also know it won't happen to me for a while. I have something to do but I am not sure what it is yet. But I know death will not come for me until I complete it. I have been through things that should have killed me and walked away unharmed. I am being protected for some reason.
I have also seen death first hand. A few years ago I took a job sitting with an elderly woman. She had dementia and had broken her hip, she would forget that she was injured and try to get up at night so they hired me to take care of her.
My mother was a nurse. She warned me before I took the job that it was a hospice case. The family didn't know yet, but my mother knew she would die soon. I took the job anyway.
It was to be honest one of the most rewarding jobs in my life. I feel I really helped the family to accept it, I was the one who called her daughter the night she died. I then sat out in the lobby of the nursing home with her while her mother was cleaned up.
One thing though that I will never forget, about a week before she passed away the old lady started calling people to her bed side and asking us if we could see the beautiful, shining people. Some times I even thought I felt a presence.
When the end came it was quick. It was not peaceful, she had some sort of fit and I ran to get the nurses. But it only lasted a few minutes and then she was gone.
She was 92 and had been in a lot of pain for months and I know she was free of pain and at peace on the other side. I felt she was still in the room, smiling at us. Probably the happiest she had been in years.
So no, I do not fear death. It will not happen until it is my time to go and when it is I know there will be peace on the other side.

Well said Ms Sky Blue Faerie, it was a remarkable story I had read through the entire thread. You are very literate on explaining why you do not fear death.
I'm glad you shared something like this to the thread, but I must informed you that not everyone gains peace to the other side. There are a balance, I'm not
trying to bring you down or anything like that, I just want to assure you that information that even negative and violent people can get to the other side as
well and stay on the surface. Some say that those nasty people who had so much sin refused to follow death to their rightful place and stays on the surface
without moving on to a new life. But everyone have their own opinion, I'm really fascinated by yours, you should PM me sometime about what else you believe
in as a discussion.

Oh I know there are a few tormented souls who do not find peace when they cross over. At least not at first. I hope that in time they can. But then they have all the time in the world to find their peace. But for me I am certain that I will find peace on the other side.

Finding peace isn't as hard as it sound, actually even saying it sounds hard... for myself. Some you might have t admit Every single one of your sin and it's hard to tell a secret that is too personal. For myself I have some issues to work out.

Personally, I'm terrified of death. Just the other night, I was reading 90 Minutes In Heaven and when I put the book down for the night, I started thinking, "Well, maybe there is a Heaven..." At first this was a comforting thought, then I started thinking more into it and realized if there is, I'm scared I won't go. :/ I'm not so afraid of being stuck here as a ghost/spirit as I am about the question of salvation. Maybe I'd feel more certain if I were raised to actually be religious! ;-;
