She was accustomed more to watching others, not being watched. Carefully Relm leaned a bit more into Keme's side without becoming undignified, hoping the horse & carriage were enough to keep the onlooker's gazes. Seeing one man's eyes rake her body the little femme quickly looked away and focussed on their progress. From the directions she had given Morgy, there was one more turn & the theatre would be down that street.

Keme did see the guy looking Relm over and possessiveness seemed to overcome him and he narrowed his eyes and growled at him, snapping the reins lightly so Morgy would move faster.

At the unexpected sound and vibration from Keme she looked up at him in surprise. His narrowed eyes... towards that man? He had growled? A shiver of irrational delight swept through her, and her green eyes devoured Keme's face with fierce pride and love. "Nearly there" She murmured tenderly, unable to keep the underlying huskiness from her soft alto voice. Hearing it, she blushed a little then wrapped her arms around his.

He blinked when Relm spoke and Morgy turned the last corner and he blushed birghtly as he realized how...male he was acting. He looked on ahead as glad to see the theater up ahead and he was glad for it.

Relm smiled happily as the theatre came into view. It was an old building, restored fairly recently. The large blocks of stone that made up its exterior were of a golden shade, the top and corners intricately and beautifully sculpted in homage & memory of an era past. Men and women dressed to the hilt milled from limousines nd fancy cars, valets moving the cars away from the entrance.

Self consciously Relm lifted a hand to her bare neck beneath her wrap. She had forgotten a necklace... should she 'paint' one for herself? Or had... What was it Myranda had said after conjuring her dress? Relm slipped her hand into her handbag uncertainly.

Keme steered Morgy to a spot where they could climb out of the carriage. Once he stopped the horse, he climbed out of the carrriage and immediately went to help Relm down.

Her pale green eyes widened as her hand closed on something solid yet somehow delicate & the former adventurer did not need to see to guess what she held. A smile touched her lips and eyes.

As the carriage drew to a stop Relm removed her hand and snapped the handbag shut on her find, beaming tenderly at Keme as he helped her down. "Thank you."

"You're quite welcome." he said, resisting the urge to lean down and kiss her. He then went over to Morgy and lightly petted her neck where no blood was coming out and told her to take the carriage to someplace secluded and he would call for her when they left the theater.

"Thanks Morgy." Relm said softly, gratitude in her eyes. While Keme was those steps away she put her hand into the handbag again and this time pulled out what she had found. A necklace bearing a miniature rose with petals dipped in gold resting upon an elegant gold chain appeared in her hand first. It had been Valentine's Day when Keme gave it to her, along with the painter bear she kept upon her bed. Relm smiled softly, then withdrew the other. A charm bracelet, scattered with tiny diamonds that sparkled in the streetlights. There were the familiar charms of the paintbrush and the artbook upon it... but now two more. a tiny replica of the rose pendant of her necklace in a crystal bubble -to match, Relm thought with a smile- and a small flying bird.

Relm held it closer to see better & her eyes moistened at seeing it: a hummingbird, painted in Keme's pattern, with magic-pulled paint to match all her paintings of him. They know me too well. I'd only ever told Hummer, but they know me too well. Eyes bright, Relm looked to catch the chocolate gaze she adored as he returned, her hands out, silently asking Keme to help her put them on.

He patted the Soquili's neck as she trotted off to park the carriage for the next few hours and he looked to Relm, catching her green gaze and smiling gently. He looked to her hands and smiled in fondness at the jewelry she held to him. He first took the necklace and attached for her, his fingers brushing the back of her neck gently. Then he put the bracelet on for her, his eyes catching the tiny bird.

Relm shivered beneath the light touch of his fingers on her neck. Her tail swayed slightly beneath the bow of the ribbon upon it. She smiled, knowing that feeling would stay with her throughout the evening.

Once the bracelet too was on she breathed a soft "Thank you" then pressed the tickets into one of Keme's hands and lightly circling the elbow of the other arm with her hands. There were doormen, she had seen. He would not need both hands for a moment. Voice still soft only Keme would likely pick up on the trace of nervousness behind her elegant lady facade as she spoke. "Now we're ready."

He took the tickets and slid them into his inside coat pocket and smiled when Relm slipped her hands onto his elbow and he gulped a little, looking at the well dressed couples as they passed by. "Yea, we're ready." he said in a low voice. He then escorted up to the door.

It was like a dream. With all her years of watching everything her movements & things around them blurred. There was only the two of them. Relm smiled, willpower alone keeping her hand from reaching up to stroke his neck, letting him lead her to the doors where men in simple matching tuxes were holding doors for the theatre's patrons. More men in their 'penguin suits' stood just before the lobby to take their tickets and pass them off to ushers -also in tuxes though these ones had white coats instead of the black.

The usher assigned to them arched a brow as he looked at a mark upon their tickets. Then he smiled, simple brown eyes looking up to meet each of theirs as he handed them their programs. "Thank you. Please, let me show you to your seats."

A flicker passed across Relm's eyes, the dream momentarily clearing as she spotted what he did on the tickets -a raised circular seal- that was not upon other ones. Oh no... did they have to tell everyone? Very lightly she blushed, the color of her cheeks going very well with her dress, and gripped a bit more tightly to Keme's arm. Otherwise, her act was smooth.

Keme did everything in his power not to appear nervous, especially when their tickets were looked over. He nodded when the usher said he would take them to their seats and he reached a hand over to gently pet Relm's hands, giving her a reassuring smile.

Their usher's bearing had subtly changed. He would catch the eyes of his fellow ushers, very faintly incline his head at the pair he led, and smile to see the look of understanding along with a smile appear on their faces. Relm tried to ignore it, keeping her apparent focus on Keme or the back of their usher, simply smiling and looking casually excited. And they had wanted to give her box seats! She did not want to be stared at... and Relm was sure Keme would not want to be stared at, and box seats were more for showing oneself off than actually seeing the show well.

He led them into the theatre proper and down to the orchestra seating, right in the center. He paused, about three rows from the orchestra pit where some could be heard tuning and warming up. The man's brow furrowed as he checked the ticket again. "Surely you should have had front row..."

Relm giggled softly, shaking her head. Curls bounced and the diamonds of her near-hidden tiara sparkled in the light of the chandeliers above. "No. Really, this is what I asked for. I'd be too short to see over the orchestra if I was in the front row." She gave him her best sweet & innocent smile and watched him brighten.

"Well, here you are then. Right in the middle of the stage. I'm sorry you'll have to stand to let others through..." Another look. "Are you sure you would not rather have the box...?"
