It was about half an hour later before the two stood up and headed back onto the path for the estate. Tokaru insisted on keeping a bouncy step and swinging her brother's hand as they walked along the sidewalk. Their mother didn't let them spend a lot of time together, one of the reasons he was placed in a seperate house on the other side of the estate, so he figured he might as well let Tokaru have her fun before they reached home. He felt the grip on his hand loosen and when he looked to his side Tokaru seemed to have vanished. His outer appearance didn't change, he didn't seemed panicked in anyway. But he was panicking until her caught sight of his sister bright colored clothes at a vending cart a short distance ahead. He kept a paced walk as he caught up to her. "Tokaru don't dissapear like that. Give me some warning before you take off like that." 'What if something happened?' he kept the further concerns to himself as Tokaru handed him an ice cream cone.
Tokaru paid the vendor and turned holding a mint ice cream cone herself. She raised the treat and smiled. "In celebration for the best weekend ever." She cheered.
Taiyo smiled best he could and tapped his ice cream to the one Tokaru held out. "Cheers." He said bringing the ice cream up to his mouth and taking the first taste of the soft served chocolate icer cream. He held the cone in his right hand and took his sister's free hand in his left. "Come on let's get home before nightfall."
Tokaru nodded, "Okay." A little further down the road she spoke again in her cheery tone. "Are you working tonight?"
Taiyo nodded, He worked at a local book store in town. He had his own bank account which his father added to. But it was limited thanks to his mother, besides he couldn't rely on their support his whole life so he started a different account with the money he earned. "Yeah, and that reminds me." He said and stopped walking. He handed his ice cream over to Tokaru as he pulled open a large pocket on his thigh. He reached inside and pulled out a brand new book, it's spine not even broken in. He traded off the book for his ice cream as Tokaru looked the volume over. "This came in just this morning. It's the one you wanted right?" He asked pleasantly as he started to eat the ice cream cone. But was almost knocked backwards as Tokaru attacked him with a hug around his stomach.
"Yes! Oh, I can't wait to read it! Thank you!" Tokaru squealed and pushed back slowly unlocking her tight embrace.
"No problem. It's not like I'm going to use the book discount. I might as make use of it somehow." he teased and finished off what was left of the cone. "But why did you want to know if I worked tonight?"
"Oh I was hoping we could watch the movie daddy got me yesterday. He said you might want to watch it to. But I'll wait until you have time to see it to."
Taiyo gave a genuine laugh, "Next day I have off. We'll load up on enough soda and sweets to rot your teeth out. And we'll watch the movie over at my house."
Tokaru beamed as the estate came into view from a distance. "I can't wait."

"Oh, thank you!" Yuzu said smiling as she stepped away from the door. "I always get stuck holding doors for others," she laughed. "Well thank you very much Takahiro. Well I guess I'm off to work," smiling again she turned around and had to run off down third street. 'Well on the bright side now I only have to be able to run 100 meters in ten seconds not be late... Who am I kidding?'
By the time she arrived at the café Yuzu was two minutes late, no one will notice. Or so she hoped, the high schooler quietly slipped into the changing room avoiding Yuriko, the new manager. Yuri wasn't a bad person. She means well but she tends to freak out when things don't go exactly as planned. With Yuri promoted from Assistant Manager to Manager everything had to be just perfect. Yuzu had, thank goodness, already managed to slip in to the black skirt and the white blouse by the time Yuri came in.
"When did you get here?" she asked as she placed herself in front of the mirror and re-did her ponytail. "Not just ten seconds ago, I hope?" her brown eyes fixed on her slate gray ones.
"No, no! Of course not!" the brunette was waving her hands furiously as she spoke with an awkward and nervous smile. "I just took a little while getting changed is all!" there was a nervous laugh and a scary pause. "So uh, should I take orders or am I Barista-ing today?"
"Orders, I'll hold my own until Emiko gets here. Emiko and I are supposed to barista today and Hiromi will be here soon also to take orders. Well we'll be getting busy soon and after dinner time when people will be coming for desserts, get going!" she said.

Tora was skipping along the path to the Sohma estate with her backpack slung over her shoulder. She was always full of pep no matter what day it was, but on weekends she tended to be more full of it for some reason. She ignored the stares people gave her as she went by, especially those of the boys and hummed a small tune to herself. The Sohma estate wasn't so much a happy place, Hikaru usually saw to that, but Tora always looked on the bright side of things. She believed that was the only to cope with Hikaru after all.
After walking some distance, the estate came into view and Tora seemed to shake with joy. She was almost home! Walking faster, she came to an arubt halt, seeing two figures close by. Using her hands to shield her eyes from the sun she recgonized them as her cousins, Tokaru and Taiyo. Well, technically they were only cousins due to the binds of the Zodiac. Smiling happily, she ran as quickly as she could and in no time, caught up with them. Without a moment's hesitation, she swept Tokaru off her feet and hugged her tightly squealing.
"Tokaru!! I missed you!!" she announced, laughing. "You're so cuuuuuuute!"

Tokaru's expression was a blank smile for a second as she took a second to realize who had wrapped her in a hug. "Tora!" She squealed and hugged her cousin back. "I'm so happy to see you!" She giggled. "Today is turning out to be so wonderful! The only thing that would make it better is cake... I should bake a cake!" She exclaimed.
"Tora you want to come over, today, tomorrow, any day we can make cake and cookies and sing in the garden it'll be a lot of fun!" Tokaru's voice never lost it's hyper but sweet tone.
Taiyo watched from a short distance, he didn't care about the rest of the zodiac as long as they took care of Tokaru. He nodded in acknowledgement, "Hey Tora." he said his tone slightly less happy as he had been just a second ago when talking to Tokaru. He lingered on the path that led to the northern side of the estate and his house apart from his parents. He had about an hour before he had to be back at the bookstore and he glimpsed his watch just to check, whether or not he could make it on time he waited any longer.

Tora let Tokaru go but grabbed ehr hands and jumped up and down happily.
"Yes! Yes! That sounds so much fun! We should do it right now!" Settling down a bit, she looked over at Taiyo and beamed at him.
"Hi Taiyo! You wanna come and bake a cake to? It'll be so much fun!" she giggled. For a sixteen year old, she acted a lot like Tokaru's age, but everybody in her family was used to it by now.

"Sounds like fun, but I've got to get to work." Taiyo said in a partial sigh. He wasn't going to be suprised to see the house burned down by the time her got back. "I better go incase that happiness thing is contagious." he said and started down the path towards the southern gate of the estate. "Take care and try not to burn the estate down, ok? he called as walked off fown the stone path.
"Awww.. okay." Tokaru sighed but it was far from upset. "We'll save you a piece of cake, for when you get back." She waved her hand in giant sweeps across the sky and turned grabbing Tora's hand and pulling her along behind her. "Come on! come on! What type of cake should we make? Strawberry, chocolate!! Oh let's make both!" She cheered.

Tora watched Taiyo leave, with a sad expression, but perked up immediately when Tokaru grabbed her hand and began to drag her to the house. She giggled and ran along with her cousin exclaiming happily, "Oh good idea! And to top it off we put chocolate covered strawberries on top!" Their voices became distant as they disappeared through the gates of the Sohma residence.

"That's a great idea!" Tokaru exclaimed as she slid open the door to her house. She slipped off her shoes in the entry way kicking them off to the side, nearly falling on her face in her hurry to get through the threshhold and into the kitchen. She released her grip on Tora's hand as she entered the hall and down into the kitchen. The sudden clank clinks of pots and pans could be heard as she tried to find what they would need. The whole time she was singing a made up song to a rather interesting polka styled tune, which didn't really make much sense. "We're gonna bake a cake, with strawberry icing strawberry icing, chocolate covered, strawberries, strawberries, won't it be delicious?" She began to rummage through the cupboards and she continued adding similiar verse to her tune.
Taiyo finally reached his house on the estate and entered quietly, not that it could much quieter. He grabbed his name tag from a bowl sitting by the front door as well as a lanyard before exiting the domain and following the same path to the southern gate as he headed back for town. He swung the lanyard over his head and pinned the tag on the right side of his chest. His hands rested in his jean's pocket as the evening breeze kicked in the tempature dropped a degree or two. Every few minutes he turned and looked behind him until the estate was entirely out of view. He wasn't entirely sure why he kept looking back, he figured he was probably waiting for some alarm or flames to suddenly shoot up into the sky. Slowly town came into view and he couldn't help but think that he was overly catious sometimes.

Tora smiled as she calmly kicked off her shoes. Tokaru's song dirfted through the house until it reached Tora's ears and she laughed, wrinkling her nose.
"Tokaru-chan! What kind of a song is that?" she asked loudly, tippy-toing her way across the living room and into the kitchen. She really hoped Tokaru's mother wasn't home. That old witch could be meaner than Hikaru at times! Despite what she had said earlier, Tora hummed along to Tokaru's odd song, watching her younger cousin rummage through cabinets, trying to find the right materials. Tora laughed again and bounced over to the fridge, throwing it open and dragging out the ingredients needed for a cake.
"So do you have a cookbook Tokaru or shall we just wing it?" she asked, plopping the things in her arms down onto the counter.

Hiro knocked on the door of Tokaru's house. "Tokaru, it's me, may I come in?" His voice was suave, and it would make any girl blush the way he spoke so gently to his younger cousin. He opened the door anyway without her permission. Tokaru's mother knew not to touch him, or else she's have Hikaru to deal with. He took of his shoes while leaving his hands in his pokets and walked over to the kitchen. "My my, what a pleasent surprise." He murmered nodding to Tora. "It's a pleasure to see you again cousin. Although, I know that your always so eager to see me now aren't you?" He winked at the girl and slid his hand on her shoulder like he always did. "Did you hear my baby cousin?" He adressed Tokaru this time. "Your favorite cousin will be moving away from the guarded and alas, drabe Sohma Estate! Be a good girl and say good bye to him?"

Tora smiled and went to follow Tokaru to find a cookbook, but a voice stopped her, making her cringe and look at the doorway. Hiro stood there, looking overly-confident as usual. Out of all the Sohma's he was the only one who really knew how to get on Tora's bad side. Her long, piggytails seemed to droop along with her perkiness now. Feeling his arm slid around her shoulder she thought of it being a snake and nearly laughed out loud. Hiro was the snake of the zodiac after all, it suited him rather well. Hearing his little comment about her always being glad to see him, she laughed without humor and stared at Tokaru pleadingly.

Tokaru shrugged happily, "I don't know but doesn't it have a catchy tune?" She hymmed as she pulled out a container of flour. She set it on the counter and thought, "Cook book. Yeah I think we have one. I'll go get it!" She squeaked and ran to the other side of the room pulling out recipe boxes and books held together by half broken plastic spirals. "Look one of these are bound to have cakes somewhere in them! To the desserts!" she cheered as she began flipping through the pages.
She glanced up as Hiro entered the kitchen. "Hiro!" She cheered as came upon the mess of the kitchen. But stopped as she listened to what he had to say. "You're moving away?" She asked most of the pep in her voice had left. But she gave her cousin a big hug. "Ok But you've got to come back and visit, ok?" She smiled and the happiness in her voice seemed to come back altogether.
Taiyo entered the book store from the back enterance working his way through the back room of new books that had yet to hit the shelves, until he reached the door that brought him behind one of the various counters.
"Cutting it kind of close don't you think?" One of his co-workers asked as they spotted him taking a spot behind one of the registers.
Taiyo didn't even look up to him to respond, "No not really. After all I could have just been late again." being polite to others outsdie of the family wasn't really his strong suit, and when you came from a powerful family like the sohmas, where their name is in almost every major company and practice, an attitude problem would simply be waved off. He stared at the new releases sitting in front of him and looked the list over trying to recall if there were any that Tokaru or his father liked.
