"Yeah, I do!" Iggy edged back on the narrow platform, eyes on Antony.
Devon glanced up from his pad and half-smiled at the scene. Carefully, he turned to a new page and began, with a few swift lines, to sketch out the boys playing. He always meant to practice motion shots more.

Once he got high enough, Antony raised his gun, aiming straight for Ignacio's face. "Surrender, or suffer the consequences!" he said.

The words sounded better than good. They sounded impressive. Unfortunately, they were delivered to Igancio Garcia, he who respected nothing. Neatly, the dark-skinned boy stuck out his tongue and edged back further on the platform. His heels tilted back behind him, no longer supported, and, with a sudden yowl of shock, Iggy dropped backwards down the slide - on his back and headfirst. He landed in the rubber shavings with a hurt yelp but, before Devon could set aside his drawing, he was laughing, rolling around and giggling wildly.

Antony jumped up, looking down at the other boy with a hint of worry. Then he grinned as Ignacio started laughing. "Does this mean I've won?" he asked curiously.

Ignacio could barely answer for the laughter. "Yeah, yeah, don't care." He gasped and rolled up onto all fours. "I put the jewelry in your cop car or something." He pushed himself upright, still kneeling. His golden eyes were bright. "Did you see that? Wasn't it wicked?"

Antony laughed, unable to help himself. Then he shot the other boy.

This merely prompted more giggles. Twisting, Iggy tried to catch the water in his mouth - snapping rather uncannily like a dog.

Antony laughed even more, his mind going back to Jace's comment about having a puppy. Well, a friend that was like one seemed to be the next best thing. "I'm coming down, now, so you might want to move," he said as he sat down.

Ignacio hesitated for a moment and then sighed, nodding. Scrambling to his feet, he scampered out of the way. "That was fun," he announced.

"Yes, it was," Antony said, grinning as he slid down. "Want to do it again? I can be the robber this time."

"Sure!" Ignacio beamed whitely. "But I gotta fill up my gun again." Turning, he trotted back in the direction of the water fountain. "Y'know, don't tell your dad but this is way better than gym class."
This declared, the two spent the rest of the afternoon exhausting themselves in cops and robbers. Sometimes, for variety, they tried cowboys and indians. All in all, it was a very satisfactory Saturday.
