"Out of contact for a long while indeed, Ryu..." Ren smirked, sighing at the same time. "Xing, this is Ryu, one of our friends, and Hana, our friend's son."

Silence, until Ren noticed his mistake. "Of course, Hana isn't Ryu's son." He smiled at Netsubo. "Right?"

Ren obliged to Xing's request, letting her down onto the floor after ruffling her short black hair a bit. "Now, all fun and games aside, aren't we suposed to be heading off somewhere now?" He asked them, trying to realign their thinking process. "Maybe before it gets too late?"

((grah. shortness. oh well...))

Ren sighed quietly, and motioned them to all follow him inside for a few minutes. He could let his old friends rest in his house, even if it was only for a bit.

"Xing-chan, don't compete against Baba's rival's son yet..." Ren joked good-heartedly, smiling at his daughter. "What would their Mami's think?"

((Here! Baba = Dad in Chinese, Mami = Mummy in Chinese.))

((Wow!! i guess this was pretty popular... 3 pages while i was gone! ^-^ Shizuka-chan is gonna get somethin she didn't have before now. spoilers! :3))

Shizuka's eyes slowly opened, breaking from her trance. Her hair was much longer now, pulled back in what almost was a messy bun. candles surrounded her in the room, offering the only source of light. The dim room almost looked spooky, but by now, the miko was used to it. She spent tons of time nere when she was young, and she got over the fear that some evil spirt would attack her.
"So 'That' day is arriving at last..." she spoke to no one in particular, confirming her suspicions with her visions from the trance.
"I guess that means I should prepare for someone to come."
shizuka finally stood up and walked to the door. As she exited the room, all the candles blew out at once, engulfing the area in opague blackness...

Ren looked out as the group filed past him, Hana looking a little pouty and Xing smiling happily. Someone else knew that the day was coming soon, and they would be there. He had a feeling that Netsubo might know who it was, and smirked.

Shizuka gathered a few ofher belongings, getting ready to leave the shrine where she worked and lived for the past 5 years. She had finally achieved a sense of both belonging and peace here, but her old friends needed her. she'd still belong, a feeling that was almost unknown to her a short 7 years earlier, but anything could happen and her safety wasn't assured now. for the sake of her friends and possibly the fate of the world, the shaman called for a leave of absence for a while. Even though she was older and wiser, Shizuka still hadn't gotten rid of the sense of excitement and adrenaline when it came to things like this and the shaman fight years before. There was no way that she'd simply sit and wait to be picked up. She was going to go to the the others herself.

Manta saw Shizuka approaching from a distance. He was much taller; even if he wasn't NBA height, he was no shorter than six feet even and slender. He waved, hoping that she'd notice him.
