"Cerdi, or else you can just call him Minion. It works for me!" Grinning, Safi patted Wadi on the cheek, thinking as he did so how very adorable Wadi's sheepish grin was...just as Wadi had said earlier. But it was good to hear that he hadn't suffered undue trauma on the walk...
"So, we've finally managed to find each otherm so what should we do, you think?" Because now that he thought about it...he had no plans! "What do you feel like doing?"

"Ah ... i hadn't thought that far." his plans had only been to find Safi. He'd not bothered to think about what he'd do once he found him. What could they do?
"Do you know the area? Maybe there's something we could find to munch on or something?" He had no idea what friends usually did together that didn't sound dangerous to him. Dodger said he and Tony looked for things to do, adventures, and that just sounded scary to him.

Well, that sounded manageable. Besides, looking up at the sky Safi could see that it was just about time to break for lunch anyway, so Wadi's suggestion held extra merit.
"Well, I'd say that you can go so far as to pick your preference, Wadi. The grass is good along the river, there's some apple trees within manageable walking distance, and the raspberries are ripe. Would you prefer greenery, fruit, or other fruit?" Such a wide variety of choices, spoken like that! Personally, Safi was fine with any of the above; additionally, getting there would mean there'd be more time to brainstorm!

"I've never been fond of raspberries..." The tart flavor of them always got to him and there was usually something hiding in the plants. "Apples sound nice though" Those were safe. He could just crunch them and usually there wasn't anything scary in the trees.
"I mean ... unless you don't want something different more?" Safi could want the riverbank grass or the raspberries. There wasn't any reason to make him eat apples just because he wanted to.

"Well, then we'll go find some apples. That works well enough for me, I had raspberries for breakfast and am always eating grass anyway." That was simple enough, and Safi was sticking to that line. Especially when Wadi started with the backpeddling again, something that Safi was determined to minimize, if not completely stamp out.
So he draped a wing over Wadi's back and nudged him in the direction of the trees. "Come on, let's go before someone beats us to them!"

His eyes widened slightly as he looked at Safi. "You mean you don't think someone would share if they got there first?" That didn't seem at all nice. He knew he'd share if he had a bunch of apples and someone else wanted them.

Negative negative negative! Grinning, Safi shook his head at Wadi, hastening to correct him. "Well, suppose someone else gets there first and eats all the apples before we get there? They'd probably share if we got there in time, but we can never be sure that we won't be too late to eat at all. And THAT would be a tragedy, no?"
That said, he gave the other stallion another nudge. "So, are we staying put, or are we checking out those apple trees?"

"No one could eat that many apples..." He got full fast enough on them. Even if someone was starving there'd at least be a few left. "Oh .. yea, we can go." He nodded and headed off in the direction Safi had nudged him.
"I'm sure no one could eat them all ..."

"Unless they themself aren't alone. There are two of us, after all, so maybe our hypothetical apple-rival has a friend or two with HIM." Anything was possible, and there were also those that just ate a lot. Or there might not be many apples, or the tree might be empty...there were more than enough options. But he was personally hoping for a lack of all of the above.
So he followed after Wadi, waiting to see how long it was before the other stallion realized he didn't EXACTLY know where he was going.

"Or her ..." It could have been mares. Which would mean even less competition since he knew his sister and Rogue didn't eat as much as he and his uncles.
"Um .. Safi..." He paused and turned his head. "Why am i in front?" He didn't know where they were going, only a vague direction, so it didn't make much sense.

"Or her." Always a possibility, though honestly he doubted that there was anyone else around. Cerdi would have gone on the defensive immeadiately, had there been someone that close, and they'd gone through the apple stand earlier without that happening.
But there was no reason to mention that, not when the speculation was so fun. Rather like the amusement of seeing Wadi realize things...
"Because you were in a hurry, I'd say. I have to commend your enthusiasm, dashing off to you know not where, Wadi!" And he almost managed to keep a straight face as he said it!

"You nudged me and told me we had to hurry!" He stomped one hoof indignantly as he eyed Safi. He had been about to say something else when a squirrel darted in front of him and he jumped back with a yelp.
"You go in front!"

"Hurry, yes; hurry apart, no. You're the one who decided to go and take the initiative, Wadi." Chuckling, Safi stepped up his own pace, taking advantage of Wadi's backwards dive to take the lead himself, chuckling as he did so. "I promise I'll do my best to keep the beasties away, in the meantime. So stay close!"
With that, he suddenly spread his wing, let out a loud whoop of warning, and charged off into the trees.

Safi's sudden outburst startled him as much as the squirrel had but he shook it off enough to realize that if he didn't get going he was going to get left behind.
Shaking his head he took off after the other stallion and hoped that the other's racket kept anything that might have startled him otherwise away. Last thing he needed was to get scared and run off and get lost.

Dashing along towards the apple trees, Safi was chuckling to himself at the silliness of his own antics. Damn but it would have been amusing to see Wadi's expression when he himself took off like a bat out of hell...but it really would have killed the whole moment.
Glancing back over his shoulder, he checked to make sure that Wadi was following him; not that it would be hard for the other stallion to follow him, noisy as he was. But the look accomplished it's purpose; he could see that Wadi was not only following, he was following at a pretty good pace. Granted, Safi was a slow runner; HORRIBLY slow. But still, this was good.
