Atra sighed as she heard the girl's retort as she continued to look for an empty compartment. Really, it could have been more imaginative. She shook her head as she looked in another compartment, dismissing it as soon as she realized it was full of first years. Annoying twits. Really, where on Earth had all the Slytherins run off to?
That girl was Gryffindor, probably. Most Ravenclaws wouldn't have said something, or if they had, it would've involved larger words. Ah, well, then. There was no love lost beween us anyway. Stupid pretenses.
Atra shoved her way past a gaggle of third years crawling around on the corridor floor ( literally crawling, one of them had lost a toad ). She was nearly at the end of the train now, and still most of the compartments had been full. Soon she'd have to turn around and double back to the front, something she was not looking forward to.
Resigning herself to this grim fate, Atra decided to look in one last compartment before going around again. She smiled in relief as she pushed the door open. Finally, someone in her own house. Scratch that. Someone interesting in her own house. Greeting a couple of her dorm mates, Atra heaved her trunk onto the rack and settled down next to the window.
((Ah, its kinda fun being the mean one, I must admit. Lonely, though. - sniffles - ))

A girl emerged from the stone wall barrier of Platform 9 3/4, pushing a trunk laden with luggage and an owl's cage. The young snowy owl inside it, Lightwing, slept soundly with her head beneath her wing. Angel Casianne Lightwing stared around happily. "It's even more beautiful than I remembered it to be," she sighed.
Angel looked at the scarlet steam engine standing before her, and her smile became wider. As she wheeled around, her family, Michelle, Dennis and Andrew Chadley Lightwing, appeared from the barrier. Her brother, Andrew, was in his third year in Gryffindor. "Wow," said Angel's mother, Michelle. "Congratulations, Angel, you're in your fifth year! Your father and I are so proud of you!" "Yeah," answered Michelle's husband, Dennis. "Ready for your O.W.L.s, Ange?" he added to Angel, who frowned slightly. "Dad, please stop calling me that," said she. "Yeah, I guess I am." "Good. Okay, you two," said her mother, "remember, always be careful. Do the best you can, don't pressure yourself... and just have fun." Angel smiled. "I will. Love you guys! See you." "Love you too," said her parents. "See you!" She kissed both her parents and headed towards the train, followed by Andrew. Looking over at the barrier for the last time, Angel watched her parents vanish beyond the barrier and climbed into the train, where she and Andrew separated, and where she, with great difficulty, carried her luggage and Lightwing's cage up the steps and searched for a good compartment in which to read a good book. However, Angel found her way blocked by a group of three boys and another boy who was, by a small distance, separated from the group--the popular group of James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew.

((Wolfshadow: >D I know what you mean. Nothing but love from me though. Maybe you will get some purebred-Slytherins to play with, ne?))
Morgaine also saw James go past, and felt some of her anger from before return. Now, he hadn't done anything yet--and yet was the key word. James always did something.
When she heard Tori's words about him, she scowled darkly, making a small, derisive noise under her breath. She didn't care if the others heard it; she despised the guy, and had no problem making that known.
Why does this year have to start off so well? She thought sarcastically to herself. First some prejudiced Slytherin calls her and the rest of the girls in the cabin rubbish (did she even know them?! I don't think so!), and now James Potter shows, albeit briefly, up.
It was only then that she remembered the promise she had made to her father. Morgaine was a woman of her word, and besides, she was a prefect. She had was other than dueling (thought she would have preferred this method to any other) to make him pay.
When he did something. She swore to herself. She wouldn't pick a fight; wouldn't start something. But the moment he did something out of line, she'd have his arse in detention so fast he'd look like he'd just played a round of bloody Quidditch. That's a promise... She said silently to herself.

Tori saw the look on Morgaine's face. "Whatever you do," she said. "Don't hurt Sirius."
Karei laughed. "Yep, better not." sh advised. "Or Tori'll have your head.
((In my other RP Tori is Sirius GF so I'm kinda making it that way here too if no one objects.))

PromisedSword Morgaine's tenseness left her instantly. She grinned, and laughed a bit; glad that Tori and Karei at least didn't think she was a loon. Morgaine's fierce temper and desire for justice at her own hand had sometimes left the people around her scared or affronted.
The next thing she realized was that she had yet to introduce herself to the other people in her compartment. "I'm Morgaine," she said, in a general greeting to everyone. "Um...I'm a sixth year Gryffindor." She wasn't really good with introductions. Usually a simple, 'I'm Morgaine' was all she needed. However, she felt like she owed the other girls a little better than that.
She looked at the smaller girl, probably the youngest in here, with interest. She could see why the redhead had commented on Tifanni being part veela. The girl looked the part. However, that was not her chief point if interest. She had not known transfers were possible between magical schools.
"You're from the United States? I didn't know you could transfer over." Morgaine asked, voicing her interest openly. "What's it like over there?" Tifanni nodded. " I didn't until we moved here to England. It's... jeez, I don't know how to describe it... It's not as nice as England, though... I've been going to another school in Salem, Oregon for three years before this, though." she said, struggling with her description of her old home. " The states are a lot less exciting, though." she added lamely.

((Nope, I'm fine with that.))
Morgaine heard the twin's words, and wondered how easily they had been let on to her feelings. Is it that obvious? she wondered to herself. Man, maybe I'm going mental, here...too much of a bad thing; the thing in this case being Potter and his lot. Perhaps I should try to wind down a bit... But winding down was not in Morgaine's nature.
Neither was betraying her principles. She chose her words carefully, not wanting to get into a fight with the girl. Tori seemed like an okay person, even if her taste in guys was not that good, and Morgaine didn't want to lose a potential friend over something like this. Morgaine had always thought that guys were overrated. But her history with James and, to a lesser degree, Sirius, was not to be forgotten. "I...I won't hurt him," she said, remembering again her promise to her father. "But if he steps out of line, I'll have to do my duty as a prefect. That goes for anyone, mind you...not just Potter and Black." she hoped Tori wouldn't take that the wrong way. She had both her promise to her father, and her school duty to keep in mind.
Then she heard Tifanni's reply to her earlier question. She laughed, hearing what the blonde thought of the States. "Well then, I'm glad you're over here!" she said "Wouldn't want you stuck somewhere boring, would I?" she added, grinning again.

((Err... I feel rather bad about posting this in the thread, but you said to, so... Also, I hope he isn't taken; I didn't see his name on the list, so I assume he's not?))Username: iheartjrock Character Name: Sirius Black OC or Canon: Canon Appearance: Sirius is of average height (around 5’11”), has a lean, lithe build and a very noble presence. His shiny black hair and keen grey eyes make him the object of many girls’ fascinations. He dresses in a very fashion-forward manner, partly because he is used to being scrutinized by his family members and partly because of his own vanity. Blood Status: Pureblood Year: Seventh House: Gryffindor Quidditch?: Err I don't think so, but JKR never said he wasn't on the team, did she? So if need be, we can just put him on the team later x3 If so, Position?: See above (: Extra: Sirius’ almost silly attitude belies the fact that he is actually an intellectual. Usually the one to propose a prank, Sirius doesn’t really think of the consequences of his actions. Since he was raised in nobility until the age of fifteen, he has shown some of the same prejudices and tastes of his more well-to-do peers, try though he may to hide them. Ultimately, however, Sirius’ need for the constant attention and adoration of his peers stems from his need to make them happy. His friends are the only family he has left, and any chance he gets to entertain them is one he will take, no matter the consequences.
Oh, and Morsmordre((I hope I've done everything correctly (:
Edit: As for the Tori + Sirius thing, I... kind of don't see him as the type who likes to be "tied down", if you know what I mean. She can crush on him, but for now I'd like to think of him as single. Maybe something will happen in th future, though xD ))

((Well Tori is a fellow prankster and shares his love for pranking. She also hates Snivellus, but in the other RP they didn't exactly like each other at first. But...um let me quote what Smart-idiot and I wrote...I'll PM you with what we wrote in the HW.
No he's not taken ))
Tori looked at Karei and burst into laughs. "Karei!" she exclaimed. "We actually made friends with a prefect! I've seen it all now..." Karei grinned and pointed. "Well James and co. are over there."
Tori visibly perked up at those words.

((Okay, now that I've seen her personality a bit clearer, I can see how they'd work out. Is it okay if they just start out as friends who are interested in each other first? Also... I didn't see James post about where they sat, so I'm just going to say Sirius was already on the train, is that alright?)) Sirius Black leant against the barrier to Platform 9 3/4, checking his watch and waiting for Remus, James and Peter to arrive. He certainly wasn't used to being the first of his mates to arrive on the platform; on the contrary, he was usually the one who made them late, but there he stood, none-the-less, trolley in front of him, robes neatly pressed and folded inside his trunk, waiting for his mates to show.
After a few more minutes of waiting, he sighed, checking his watch again, noting that it was almost time for the train to depart. He decided to find a car for themselves. He stretched languidly, pushed his trolley to the last car of the train, which was, as everyone knew, the Marauder's usual spot, and lugged his trunk inside. He took a seat, leaving the door open and smiled nostalgically. This was his last train ride to Hogwarts. He couldn't imagine life without Hogwarts, but, for now, he greeted the start of his seventh year at the school with optimism.

((That's fine.))
Tori walked into Sirius's compartment after saying bye to the people in the one she had been in. "Hey Sirius." she said. "Where's the rest of the Marauders?" It was a rare occasion for him to be separated from the rest of his friends.

"Hey Sirius. Where's the rest of the Marauders?"
Sirius had just been about to start putting on his school robes when he heard a sweet voice address him. He looked up and was surprised, but not unduly, to see Tori standing there. He gave her a handsome smile and sat up fully.
"Oh, hey, Tori. I... actually haven't the slightest idea where they might be. I thought I heard James' voice in the corridor; did you happen to see him on your way here? He's probably crooning over that Lily bird." Sirius paused, deciding it's probably best to not sound so bitter over the loss of his best mate's attention. "Anyways, they'll probably be here soon; isn't the train about to depart? You can join us if you'd like," he added, smiling up at her.

((PromiseSword: Hopefully, but I won't quit if there aren't any. It'll give me more freedom anyway.
Cut_Mini_Keet: I don't have a problem with it, but as iheartjrock said, I don't see him as being tied down, really. If the two of you could work it out, though, that'd be awesome. It'd be great character development for Sirius, because most people think of him as a kind of player. XD))
---
Atra sighed for what felt like the millionth time since boarding the train. Sure, now she was with people of her own house and year, but they were absorbed in a conversation about dress robes. Because, dress robes are the first things you chat about with your mates after several months apart, of course.
She grinned at the mental image of a house-wide slumber party, during which everyone would discuss the advantages of different colours and fabrics in their formal wear. She had an flash of what Severus would look like in his jammies and nearly burst out laughing. Hopefully, he was the type of guy who wore a shirt when he slept.
Suddenly, the others in her compartment got quiet. She blinked and arranged her face into a mask of bored curiosity. Nudging the girl on her right, Atra asked,
"What's going on? I zoned out."
The girl turned towards her and whispered, "Didn't you notice? This compartment is right in front of the Marauders'. Once the train starts, word is that Severus is going to team up with a couple of the other guys and start something."
"So, we're being quiet now because..."
"Because the first one of them just showed up. And a girl followed him. Black," She answered Atra's unasked question.
"Ah, well, wake me up when something interesting happens. Until then, I'm gonig to try and catch a few hours of sleep, if you don't mind."
With that, she drew her feet onto the seat, wrapped her arms around her knees, and closed her eyes.
---
((I'm really sorry about this, but tomorrow I'm going to be leaving the state until the 26th. I'm probably not gonig to have access to a computer, so you guys can just go on without me, and I'll try to catch up when I get back? Or someone can PM me with the key details of what's happening, that'd be really helpful. I'm going to try to get on tomorrow, but I can't make any promises. Sorry. ))
