"It is a bit colder than I expected it to be." She said as she pawed at the water, splashing water everywhere. "I thought it might be warmer, since it is still summer." She added.

"Well I have never been in the ocean and so I haven't the fainest idea how the water is to feel. But to me it is cold!" he said and flapped his wings a bit at the nex experience. "Do you get in this water all the time?"

"Not all the time, mostly when it is really hot out, the water feels nicer then." She said before bouncing up to avoid being hit by a wave. "It takes a little while to get used to it." She added.

Dustin watched as she bounced up to avoid a wave, but ended up getting practically knocked over himself. He hadn't known why she had bounced but soon found out as another wave came and this time did knock him into the water. He quickly stood up and shook his wet wings out, trying to look like nothing had happened. "Getting used to it will be the easy thing." he said shaking his mane out hoping that he hadn't made too much of a fool of himself.

Instead of laughing, she merely smiled. "If you like, we can get out of the water." She said as she watched him, before checking to see if another wave was coming, but it was only a small wave, so she let it bob up against her belly.

"No that is alright. I just need to get my sea legs." he said with a chuckle and bounced as a wave came towards him and actually did it right this time and was still standing after the wave passed. "See!" he said rather enjoying himself in the water.

"It does take some getting used to." She said as she bounced over another wave. "It is fun to swim once you get past the waves. But I still prefer flying, I can fly a lot faster than I can swim." She said as she fluttered her wings to knock some water and seaweed off them.

"Swim? I don't think I am ready for that just yet! Plus I don't want my feathers getting all weird and messed up right now." he said chuckling. "Though I would imagine it is faster to fly since air isn't at thick to get through as water is."

"I wouldn't want to go swiming now either, much too cold." She said as she looked out towards the sunset again. "Though I have seen creatures who are as fast in the water, as I am in the air." She added.

"Yes, it is much too cold now for swimming. Though the only creatures that I know of that are fast in the water are the fish. I have not really seen any others that live in water." he said as he splashed about, kind of like a foal out of the basket for the first time.

"Almost too cold for standing." She said with a shiver, as she pawed at the water, her legs going numb from the cold.

"Yeah, it is starting to get to be that time of year again." Dustin said wistfully and looked back up at the sky. Soon snow would fall and he would be mostly grounded, more for safety from the winds. "Hey, wanna go do something else?" he asked with a playful glint in his eye. He was getting a little tired of the serious talk and it seemed to him that the mare was a little sad or on the down side. Maybe he could some how cheer her up.

"Alright." She said as she trotted out of the water, stumbling slightly as her legs were near completely numb. "What do you want to do?" She asked before she shook the water off her legs and body.

Dustin followed her out of the water, splashing like a big baffoon and stumbling the whole way back to shore. He really hadn't the faintest idea what else they could do. In truth he was having too much fun in the water but he would let her decide on what she wanted to do, if she had an idea. "I am not really sure. Is there something in particular you would like to do? If not then I an try and think of something."

Calantha thought about it for a moment, as she stretched out her legs, trying to get the feeling back in them. "Well there are only so many things you can do when it is getting dark." She said after considering it for a moment. "But the moon will be bright. I am sure we can think of something interesting." She added.
