Shade walked over to Taki, watching him for a second before tapping the back of his base leg. "Lower still and loosen your fists. Keep your toes curled back, you don't want to break one when you kick something."

Harper snorted again and shook his head at Riley, "'Course you could! But if you had been hostage and our fate was left up to the blue boy over here.. Oh, niiiice catch Antony, betcha had to practice lots to catch her."

"It's only respectful to catch a lady when she falls. But obviously you aren't able to do that, either," Antony said calmly, forcing down his rage. This was it, he decided. If he was going to get dragged into this stupid training, his father would teach him on his own, in the backyard, miss-summoned demons or not!
Anything was better than birdbrain boy.

Irelia was in the back of the bunch, quietly plotting her next move. It seemed as though there was going to have to be a catalyst to start the two of them fighting and Irelia was trying to decide what. Randomly flailing only worked the first time you used it, and Irelia was back to doing exactly what Shade said, the picture of a meek, perfect child.
Until you saw the evil grin on her face.
Turning to Riley, Irelia smoothed back her hair, letting the curls fly.
"Riley, these silly boys aren't worth our time at all. Simply put, they are atrocious bores. Why, I'm not even sure who would be the victor in a duel between them, as Harper is thick as a board and Anthony is afraid of dirt."
Irelia sniffed disdainfully. She had learned her father's word usage well.

Riley gave Irelia an odd look that suggested the other girl had grown another head. Though in all actuality growing another head would have made more sense to the sparrow-child then this. "What are you talk'n about Irelia? Harper's cool, he's helped me out before. And Antony's pretty good at this stuff even if he doesn't like it much," she said looking as if she was confused at having to explain why the boys weren't lost causes or whatever. "'sides, if you've got a problem with them you should fight 'em. Not have them fight each other, that doesn't make sense," she finished before turning and going back to her kicks.

"Is it really, Antony?" Harper asked, cracking his fingers. "So who catches you when you fall, princess? I think you're the only 'gentlemen' 'round here!"
He had of course lost all sigh of the original purpose for coming to class. He was just antagonizing now and loving it to bits.

"Come up here, Harper," Shade said, motioning for the boy. "I'm going to teach you how to punch."

Harper looked at Shade and quickly shook his head, "I don't wanna!" He said, totally honest. Serious, the guy he'd been trying to irritate all day's father wanted to teach him to 'punch'? Right.

"If you don't want to learn to fight," Shade said with a little grin, "you shouldn't irritate people that can. Now, Riley, show them a punch, then I'll show you a new trick."
