"Oh...yeeeah...tha souns'like him. Maybe Tei's'not home!" Vidya seemed hopeful about this. A lot of times, Teivel just...disappears without warning. Well, maybe he tells Enoh, but Vidya certainly is never around to see this happen. Since she had yet to see the stag today, she figured he went out while she was upstairs this morning. Needless to say, Vidya looked happy as a puppy when he reached down to pat her...and if she had a tail, it would most definately be wagging.
However, at his rather uncharacteristic submission, Vidya's happy-puppy expression turned into a rather skeptical one, staring up at him. Okay, NOW she felt bad. Her sidewings lowered a little bit, feeling rather guilty about having made her Captain submit to something he obviously didn't like...but mind you, this wasn't the first time she'd managed to do this. Vidya paused a moment, looking at the ground now in an attempt to figure out what to do.
"...S'up ta you, Cap'n...We sleep inside if you want." She said slowly, after her pause. Obviously the other two tales didn't care where they slept, so naturally, it was up to her and Tybalt...and of course Tybalt outranked her, so it was up to him, in her eyes.
Her white gaze was slowly moved back over to Lyris, and then to the kitty her brother now held. "Why's'yer Momma gonna be mad about the kitty not being a'home?" She inquired curiously...it was rather odd.
"You win some, you lose some, I guess..." The shapeshifter breathed out softly, considering what her friend had said. It made sense of course, and there were some days where Enoh wished her kids were silent like Calumet. "Ah well...Oh, before I forget...is there any time you wanted Calumet and your Tur...err...Pirate...back home?" She snickered softly, scratching lightly at the back of her neck.

Nooo, not more color deprivation! Calumet was about ready to protest--brightly, if not loudly--before his short attention span was captivated by the kitty. Aww, it was CUTE! And it looked so cuddly, and fluffy, and Cal just wanted to squeeze it into tiny, tiny pieces. Inle had always tried to keep him away from small animals due to his very "hands-on" nature, but this one wasn't hers. Immediately, Calumet reached for it, chubby hands opening and closing in a customary "gimme please" motion.
Little did Vidya know that there were a LOT of things Tybalt would do for her that he would do for absolutely no one else. Was he about to admit that? Did he even recognize the fact? No, and no. He was about to reply to his first mate when the ribbon adorned naked boy--wait, NAKED boy? Why was he NAKED?--made a show of pointing out both the cat and his little brother. With a moue of distaste, he replied, "I don't give a s**t where we sleep, s'long as ye keep those two--" here he pointed to Calumet and Asrafel, "far, far away from me."
"Language, Tybalt," Inle reminded the surly pirate.
"Piss off," he mumbled in response.
Inle rolled her eyes as she turned back to Enoh. "Does never work for you?"

Donny giggled at the snuggling kitty. "Donny glad Luna came too." He coo'd at the kitty, before finally paying attention to the conversation at hand. He had an opinion, he had just not paid attention enough to realize what they were talking about. All at once he felt his opinion should be known. It was, after all, most important.
"Donny want to sleep OUTSIDE!" He chimed upward at Tybalt, grinning broadly. If they couldn't make a decision, then he would! He would sleep out of the tent and watch the stars all night.
Asrafel was a little insulted by Tybalt's remark, but he soon began to realize that he might have made a misjudgement on his part concerning just how polite this friend of his siblings was. Telling his own mother to piss off, really! He returned his attentions to Calumet, watching him make grabby hands for the kitty. He did nothing to help or hinder this. If the kitty trusted Calumet, it would come to him.

Luna cooed, nuzzling Donny's cheek affectionately before noticing Calumet out of the corner of her eye. Slowly, she turned to watch him, her silvery blue eyes dancing with curiousity before she gave a toothy, uncatlike grin and mewled, jumping out of Donny's arms and sauntering over towards the little boy.
Lyris glanced over at Vidya and shrugged, "Kira always gets mad when I don't do what she says. She says it's getting to hectic for her to take care of so many kids without any help and us not listening doesn't do her any favors," Lyris repeated the lecture she had heard once or twice in the past month.

Vidya looked, needless to say, a little startled by Tybalt's response. She stared up at him with wide eyes, her arms curling to hug tightly against her small form. Quickly, the toddler looked away, turning her gaze towards Asrafel and Calumet...and wondered why it was Tybalt was so...well, she wondered why he disliked them. Then again, the baby DID grab at a lot of things...maybe he tried to pull her Captain's feathers? Vidya recalled what Olivia had told her about Tybalt and his feathers. "Okay, Cap'n.." She replied a little meekly.
"Then...we sleep outside." She murmured softly in response to Adonis, though she was halfly directing her statement back towards her father. So then it was settled, yes? They were sleeping outside. Vidya felt a sort of happy feeling at this...though she felt kinda guilty about it still.
"Really? Viddy helps Momma n' 'Eke do stuff! Liiike...cookin', or...foldin' stuff or mopping! S'fun...! She fondly remembered the time she got to use the Swifer to clean up a mess in the kitchen. Vidya had so much fun with it she even ended up swiffering the windows.
"If you want, I can have Tybalt have a little 'accident'." Enoh mused a bit, tapping her fingertips against her lips. "Y'know, the kind where people go missing and don't come back." She hide her amused snicker now, and of course, she made a mental note to never, ever let Vidya repeat anything he said. "Being his Author, its entirely up to you...But I DO have very effective methods at my disposal." At this, she turned to her friend and gave her without doubt the largest, Absolute Zero smile ever.

Hooray, the walking ball of squeezable goodness was coming closer! Calumet seemed to squee silently, waving his arms in the air. His feet twitched a bit as well--he wanted to get down to see the kitty! His tattoos seemed to glow a bit in his excitement, and if one were paying attention they might notice that the colors of his eyes seemed to swirl.
Scarlet feathers ruffled and smoothed like a sea of grain in the wind, and a single wing extended slightly to curl around Vidya although its owner didn't seem to notice the girl's distress. Any problems he had with Calumet came from their home life, and his immediate dislike of Asrafel came from the Shattered boy's lack of clothes; Tybalt would rather have fabric between them in the event that they accidentally touch. Cold eyes narrowed at the shapeshifter's words and he scowled openly at her, all attempts at geniality towards his first mate's mother gone. "Missing," he grumbled, "I'll make YOU go missing. Missing at th' bottom of th' ocean."
Inle chuckled, waving a hand dismissively. "As easy as things might be without Tybalt around, you've got to admit he adds a bit of excitement." She had noticed the parrot's growing upset, and appealing to his large ego was always a good way to calm him down.

When Luna hopped out of his arms to meet Calumet, Donny took the opportunity to give Lyris a sudden and unexpected hug, before pulling away and toddling toward the couch. He used a moment's gust of wind created by his wings to hop over the couch and land squarely on his reclining father's lap. The man let out a rush of air at the sudden weight, and groaned slightly, eyeing his son with one eye open.
"OUTSIDE!"
"Yes, Donny. Outside. The tent will be ready before you guys are ready for bed."
"OUTSIDE NOW."
Donny had become increasingly bossy the past few days, and it no longer retained it's charming cuteness. His father picked him up and turned on the couch, planting him back on his feet behind it without a word. Donny turned and glared at his father's wordless response, but all he managed to get a glimpse of what a chock of purple hair from the back of his head.
When Donny turned to look up at his friends once more, the flash of indignance was gone from his eyes, and he was as sweet as ever. He reached out and petted Lyris' hair affectionately, before looking up at Tybalt with a grin as if nothing had happened.
Asrafel watched the tattoos glowing and heeded the warning, setting Calumet down at his feet and crouching to watch him. The cat seemed to like him, so there wouldn't be a problem, right?

Lyris couldn't help but watch Donny with an odd interest. He certainly did know what he wanted. That was a good thing. Of course, that brief hint of adult level thought vanished as Donny started to stroke her hair. She cooed, closing her eyes, "Donny is so nice to Lyris."
Luna paused, watching Calumet with interest. The tattoos on his arm were glowing. That seemed a bit odd, but still quite interesting. Slowly, she padded forward again, grinning up at Calumet and propping her paws up on his leg, mewling happily.

Vidya let out a startled cry as a few down-coloured feathers suddenly came into her pheripheral vision, the tale's instant reaction was to cling to the nearest possible object...which just so happened to be Tybalt's leg...and of course she clung to it to save her life. That wasn't fair, coming into her blind side! She stared in wide-eyed terror at his wing...that is, until she realized it was his wing. Vidya stared at it for a little while longer, and then slowly let her death grip on her Captain's leg lessen, to the eventual point of letting go.
She didn't even hear Tybalt's threat towards her mother, thanks to her startle. Instead, she gave him a sheepish smile. "Sorry...Viddy not payin' 'tention...scared Viddy, yes..."
"Momma? We go outside? Pwease?" Alright, lets forget that he'd scared the wits out of her...lets do something else instead! Vidya was always much better at Donny when it came to being civil about things.
Enoh had been about to move towards her daughter upon hearing her cry out...however, once the shapeshifter noticed which side of Vidya Tybalt's wing had moved around, she understood why the blue tale cried out like she did. She visibly relaxed about it. "Yeah...I have to admit that, Inle. Always a surprise with that boy." She hadn't meant for Tybalt to hear her, but once she was certain that he had, she too tried to calm him down...subtley, though.
"Go outside? For what, sweetie? Are you gonna help Daddy build the tent?"
"Well...nuu...Viddy means, if Daddy WANTS help, we help...but...Viddy wantsta show tha Cap'n n' Lyris tha lake!" She seemed eager about it...but then again, the lake was one of Vidya's favourite places. It had WATER in it!
"Eh...Well...If its alright with your Father and Inle here...I have no problem with it. Oh..." The shapeshifter started, looking away from the kids completely...just in time to see a white-headed, lithe youth come walking down the stairs. "And as long as Teivel goes with you."
The Stag groaned with dislike at this idea...obviously, he regretted coming down the stairs. However, he knew he wouldn't be getting out of this if the other two agreed, so he merely grumbled his response, his golden eyes narrowed. "Fine."

Tybalt looked down sharply, ire forgotten at his first mate's distress. Almost without thinking, he reached down to stroke her hair in a comforting manner, not seeming to mind the momentary death grip she had on his leg. "Sorry 'bout that, forgot yer ah...situation." The wing retracted, folding tightly to his back as if to prevent startling Vidya further. His hand remained atop her head, the red a startling contrast to the blue--yet another indication of the many differences between them, physical and otherwise. He looked up at the mention of Teivel, sapphire eyes watching this newcomer critically. THIS was Teivel? Pah. He didn't look like much of a threat. Looting his "dungeon" would be a cakewalk.
Calumet clapped his hands happily, tattoos glowing brighter with happiness. As the kitty reached him, he immediately grabbed for it, awkwardly bringing it to his chest in a hard, awkward hug. The toddler hadn't yet learned the difference between delicate animals and hardier humans. With a happy wriggle, he rubbed his glowing cheek against the kitty's head.
"Oh, I don't mind if they go outside. Just...well, Tybalt can't swim. Between those feet and his wings, he'd sink like a rock--oh, Cal, be careful with the kitty, it's not yours!" And damned if she was gonna pay any vet bills if he somehow managed to injure it.

"That's okay, neither can Donny. His wings would soak up the water and he would drown." Nio replied to Inle's comment because he had stood up after the decision had been made, and carried the tent toward the door. He leaned down to sneak a kiss from Enoh's lips before lugging the mega-tent toward the back door to go set it up.
It was a fact Donny didn't like to think about, simply because he loved the water - and he loved to swim in the shallow pools he was allowed in. But the lake.. all he could do was skim the surface while flying. That was kind of fun, though. And at least he'd have Tybalt who couldn't swim either! He looked at Lyris, nodding in agreement with her statement before asking her, "Does Lyris swim? The lake is pretty."

"I swam once," Lyris said, biting down on her pointer finger of one of her hands. Though, she didn't think to mention that Trollax had been holding her up that once.
Luna simply purred. She was a stable cat, not about to be squished by a massive hug. She leaned up, licking at Calumet's cheek, nuzzling her head against him as she purred some more. This little boy was much more affectionate than Lyris was her most of the time. Well, anymore, at least. Luna liked the attention.

Still, Vidya looked rather sheepish from her mistake. "S'okay...n'Viddy's sorry too!" Of course, she was again referring it the death grip she had on him. With that done, she turned and stared at Teivel, her expression rather blank for but a moment. HE had to go with them....YAY! Vidya's face fit up again, and she clapped her hands together infront of her. "Yay! Den we go swimmin'! Err...to ta lake. Viddy'll go swimmin'!" Of course, she knew well enough to not stray too far...for many reasons...and this was mainly why Enoh was alright with it. The tale was a smart girl, and now that she had friends to go with her and Teivel to watch them, she'd be doubly careful to not go in too far.
Vidya waved at her Captain while edging towards Lyris...if they were going swimming, they needed somethings! "Lyris have bathin' suit? Me has some tha're too big...maybe you fit inta them? Wanna try, anyway?" She leaned her head to the side. Of course, she had no swimsuits for boys...but Lyris she could probably have something for, if the girl wanted it.
Luckily, she missed seeing Nio steal a kiss from Enoh. Lately, Vidya had been having way too much fun teasing her parents by "Eww"ing at them whenever she saw them kiss. Enoh had been about to respond to Inle when Nio stole the kiss...but when she was about to return it, he'd already started lugging the tent away! Bugger. Oh, She'd get him back for that one...
Smirking, she watched Nio leave before turning back towards Inle. "He can't swim? Really? Well...I guess that makes sense. I'd wager swimming with claws would be difficult...but either way, she's hell bent on showing the lake to him..." The shapeshifter chuckled, brushing silver strands of her hair from her face.
Teivel, on the other hand, didn't look as pleased with the idea as Vidya did. Instead, he walked around Tybalt, giving the down-covered boy a narrowed eyed glance as he went. Geez, Vidya attracted strange friends...Sighing a bit, he opened the door that Tybalt was half-blocking and went downstairs, going to change into his swimtrunks, just incase. "God I hate this..." He murmured under his breath.

Tybalt's eyes narrowed at the much taller Teivel, his wings rising slowly, feathers ruffling to make himself look bigger. He took silent measure of the Tahnee before deciding that yes, he could beat him in a fight, especially with his crewmates' help. Before the night was out, the treasures of Teivel's cave would be his. Theirs. Whatever.
Inle politely looked away as man and wife kissed, turning to watch Calumet carefully. Some of the more quick-tempered animals in the household had objected to Calumet's rough handling and had left the scratches to prove it, and she was glad that this odd little kitty didn't seem to mind.
Calumet was having a ball, with this nice-kitty-that-didn't-run-or-bite-or-scratch-or-make-mean-noises. His exhalation of air resembled a giggle, and he looked up and back at Asrafel as if to say "Hey, look what I got!"

Donny was too simplicitly excited that they were going out to do something. There was too much fun and mischief to be had when such a group of friends headed out for a day trip such as this. He turned to stride toward the door, intent on waiting just there until everyone was ready so he could be the first one out, to lead the way gloriously.
"Oh, I love swimming!" Asrafel purred, looking down at his outfit sheepishly. "I didn't bring my swimming trunks though.. but I suppose my ribbons will suffice if it's a lake, and not a small pool."
He looked down at Calumet, smiling helplessly as he saw the look on the child's face. "And what about this little one, will we take him in as well? I wouldn't mind taking him with me, but only if he's got something to swim in!"
Why weren't they leaving yet? Why weren't they leaving yet? Donny's triumphant smile was soon turning sour, as he noticed people weren't even so much as crawling toward the door. Instead, everyone sat there discussing things at a pace that was altogether not to his liking. He pursed his lips tightly and crossed his chubby little arms, trying to remain patient and failing miserably.
