"Really? We have six hens and one rooster, we keep them for eggs and special suppers," she explained, then looked over the game. It was colorful, and she's never seen anything like that before. "I think it'd be fun, but if you want to play something else that's fine," she told him, kicking her feet, "I've just got books and dolls at home."

Finally managing to get the plastic off, Harper promptly yelled, "ELIOT I NEED BATTERIESSSSSSSSSSS!" and ripped open the games box.
"Are they your pets? You eat your pets?!" Harper asked, taking out the blue elephant and moving to hand it to Manny while he took the plastic off the fabric butterflies to set the game up.
"Dolls.. I think I have some of those too. Mine aren't girly though!"

Manny frowned, it did seem kind of mean when he put it like that. "Well," she said, then paused, "Well, they're not really pets. We just take care of them. They live outside." She took the blue elephant clumsily, almost dropping it on the floor. Considering it was a new toy that probably wouldn't have gone over too well.

Eliot came in rather soon, with a bunch of different sized batteries and a small, half rusted over screwdriver. He was obviously prepared and used to this.
"Give it here," He said to Manny, motioning for the elephant, ready to put the batteries in.
"Which net you want?" Harper asked, pulling out the four nets. A red one, a blue one, a yellow and a green one. Harper quite wanted the yellow one.
"Eliot! She eats her pets!" He added a second later, grinning at Manny again.
Eliot shook his head, "That's why you aren't allowed to have a dog Harper."

Manny blushed as she handed over the elephant, "They're not pets, just chickens." Ah, the color debate. He'd probably want one of the brighter ones so she simply said, "I like the blue one."

"Blue?" Harper asked, looking at her hair, "I thought you'd be a red!" He shrugged and grabbed the green and red ones and stuck them back in the box, while Eliot quickly equipped the elephant and set in the on the floor.
"Have fun kids. I'll bring your food in when Solo gets back, okay?" He said, leaving again.
Harper quickly fell onto the wood floor and stuffed the butterflies into the elephant. "Ready?" He asked, grinning at Manny.

"Yep," Manny told him, bracing herself with both hands on the net's handle. She wasn't really sure what was going to happen, but if she had to catch something, and the elephant was all the way down there, she had a feeling something was going to be going into the air.

Harper flicked the switch and jumped to his feet, grabbing hold of his net.
Suddenly, the elephant gave a mellow buzz and the plastic tube passing for the elephant's 'nose' shot up, blowing air upwards. An explosion of multicolored, fabric butterflies shot into the air, dancing around the room.
Harper moved as fast as he could, giggling at first. He swung his net, soon discovering catching much of anything with the small child sized net was harder than it looked.

Manuela jumped when the nose started shooting butterflies, and for the first few soconds she didn't move around much to catch them. Seeing Harper getting into it she did too, nearly doing a dive to catch two of the things that had gotten intertwined. "How many are there?" she asked as they charged around the room. It hadn't looked like he had put that many in there, but there were certainly a lot coming out.

Harper shook his head, "I don't know, but you can't pick them up once they hit the ground!" Harper insisted. A butterfly floated down toward his head, and he couldn't move fast enough to catch it before he hit - so he scrunched down, wailed like a baby, and rolled on the ground.
"It hit me! I'm gonna die!" By then he was most certainly in some half-fantasy world where the butterflies became enemy fire.

"I'll save you Harper!" Manny yelled as she leapt over the elephant and started to whack the little butterflies with her net, "Back, back foul beasts!" By then she was starting to laugh, and when the last of the butterflies flitted down to the ground she burst into a fit of giggles and fell onto the ground near him.

Harper rolled over, clutching his stomach dramatically. "It got me, Cap'n. I'm done fer!" He exclaimed, stumbling on the phrase 'fer' briefly. Why did they say 'fer' anyway, that made no sense at all.
Dismissing it quickly, he reached his hand out into the air, and dramatically made a grasping motion, "I CAN SEE THE LIGHT!"

Manuela tossed her net to the side, quickly crawling over to him as he made his proclamation. ""You can't leave me alone in this wasteland!" she cried, lifting his head up to set on her knees. No, not the light! "Noooooooo!" she screamed, throwing her hands up in the air, faking a sob.

Harper slowly closed his eyes, fluttering slightly. As suddenly as he could, he made gasping, choking, and coughing noises while 'weakly' pointing at a stuffed bear.
"It's a magical bear, Cap'n. It's brains can heal my wound!" He whispered. Yep, he was definitely a little boy.

Face flushed red from laughing, Manuela dropped him on the ground as she took off toward the bear. It's brains huh? Without thinking she tore a big hole in the top of its head and grabbed a handful of fluff, which she proceeded to throw over him. It was only after that, when she was left holding a bear with a half deflated face, that she realized there might be something wrong with that.
