Gaian Name: SirBayer
-General
Name: Thomas “The Tank” Peterson
Age: 23
Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: 240 lbs
Species: Terran
Job: Marine
Rank: Private Second Class

-Psychological
Personality: Thomas generally presents an image of a fearsome killing machine. This isn’t well deserved; he’s gruff, but he’s likeable enough. He doesn’t go easy by a long shot; he’s rough but he’s not malicious. His sense of humor has pulled him through a lot of emotional pains that would otherwise have crushed him. He’s very straightforward, and is occasionally too honest.
Likes: Fighting, firearms, the Republic, matches of strength, old Earth heavy metal, food, explosives.
Dislikes: Fools, Drathonians, back-stabbers, liars, the color pink, needlessly killing.
Goals: Tom isn’t exactly sure what his goals for the future are, just yet. He hasn’t got a family, so he thinks about starting his own. His goal in the meantime, however, is to crush the Drathonians, even if he has to do it by himself with no ammunition.

-History
Short History: Losing his parents at the age of nine didn’t affect Tom as much as it would seem it should. He loved his parents, but he let their deaths go, believing they had moved on to a life they would enjoy more. It did, however, motivate him to join the armed forces later in life when most of everything was gone already. He’d been saved by a squad of Marines during the initial attack; they got him away, to a Mars class destroyer, sent him off towards safety. He learned later they died in the following conflict. That wasn’t the end of it, though; on the way to the nearest safehouse, the Mars class destroyer was intercepted by a Drake class battle cruiser. The fight barely lasted for a minute. Tom barely made it to the escape pods. Another destroyer picked him up and took him to safety. He lived on the ship for the nine years it took for him to become of military age. Finally having a greater purpose for his life, he set off training, building his strength to get ready for his little personal vendetta…

-Notes
Appearance: The name “Tank” didn’t come from nowhere. Tom is built like his nickname. This doesn’t mean His hair is shaved close to his head, too short to be a more specific color than “dark.” His eyes match the same description, simply dark, but sparkling with a fair dab of humor. His uniform is heavy, with medium-weight plates protecting his chest, shoulders, stomach, elbows, and knees. This doesn’t slow him down much; in fact, it gives him more momentum if he gets charging. The uniform itself is made up of light-weight armor scales, giving him a slight extra touch of protection.
Distinguishing characteristics: A combat knife belted around his right thigh; a scar marking the front of his right shoulder.

((*phew* That took a while.))

Gaian Name: calcifer9
-General
Name: Darian Alentar
Age: 34
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 172lbs
Species: Terran
Job: Pilot
Rank razz rivate

-Psychological
Personality: Darian is a quiet person. He tends to avoid making personal connections with others. Many of the Battle Hymns crew think him to be aloof because of these traits. But the pilots in his squad have come to know that he can be counted on to do his job.
Likes: Literature, his ship, straight talk, and life in general.
Dislikes: Drathonians, death, people tampering with his ship without his permission, and betrayal.
Goals: He focuses on the near future, his main goal being to survive to see another day.

-History
Short History: He was born during the years before the Drathonian betrayal. When he came of age he joined the the Terran Navy to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. He was still in the Academy when the war started. Darian's family was on one of the first worlds to be destroyed. For a while, he dreamed of nothing but revenge. After his first encounters with battle, he became focused on surviving. Of the first pilot squad he joined, only three are still alive.
-Notes
Appearance: Like most pilots he is somewhat short. His build is lean but muscular. He has short cropped black hair and piercing brown eyes. He is usually very tense.
Distinguishing characteristics: His left hand has a burn mark from a blown fuse in the cockpit during a routine flight. This caused his distrust of most maintenance workers. He has a scar on his forehead and a slight limp which he obtained from a crash landing in the battle over epsilon 4, A battle that he is still surprised that he survived.

Say, wouldn't it be logical for a battle ship to have medical officers too? I would just like to know if that's available before I make my bio. :3

Gaian Name: Pipicat
-General
Name: Anita Chance
Age: 27
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 105 lbs
Species: Human
Job: Medical officer
Rank: Private

-Psychological
Personality: Anita definitely needs to work on her bedside manner. She is constantly making cynical remarks against anyone she faintly dislikes, which is everyone. She is also very blunt and speaks her mind. If you ask her something you should be ready for a brutally honest response. However callous she is normally, it seems like she gets very tender and quiet when dealing with death. She is only tender towards when they are definitely going to die. Otherwise she remains detached from all her patients in a professional manner, with only a few exceptions. Anita always wanted to be an etymologist but in a time of war that was no viable job so she became a doctor instead, this led to her keeping a rather large collection of alien and exotic bugs in her quarters. Most people see her as arrogant but she simply doesn't hide the fact that she's a excellent doctor and knows it. She has obtained a few friends that don't mind her jokes and ego and see her as the slightly playful girl on the inside she usually conceals.
Likes: Bugs, practicing medicine, soda, a good book, debating, and cats
Dislikes: annoying patients, fighting (physically), idiotic people in general, being bossed around and Drathonians.
Goals: To become the greatest doctor the universe has ever seen and to support the end of war.

-History
Short History: Both Anita's father and mother were both toughened veterans of war, they loved it and they were expert pilots. When Anita was born it wasn't going to change anything, she was mostly cared for by non-military personal and traveled alone on a separate ship that followed the large military space ship her parents worked and lived in. Growing up and seeing all the battles that her parents fought in quickly gave her a revulsion to violence. She refused to take any part in it. Since the children onboard were all being trained for some sort of military position, Anita took the only non-violent job she was good at, being a doctor. She was easily a prodigy and by the time her parents died she was completely independent. She signed onto the battleship hoping to help aid fallen troops and help end the war.

-Notes
Appearance: Anita is short, skinny and not very intimidating looking. She has large chocolate brown eyes and a delicate note and mouth. She makes up for her short stature with her attitude and her mouth is usually curled up in a smirk or down into a grimace. She wears typical doctor clothing, usually a white lab coat with various instruments in the pocket over a tank top and slacks. A pair of reading glasses sits upon her nose most of the time but she's replaced the lenses with magnifying glasses to help her when she's doing delicate doctoring. Anita is actually 1/4 African American and her skin is dark, although not as dark as it could be. It is highly contrasted by her shoulder length, light blonde hair.
Distinguishing characteristics: A white DNA tattoo runs from the base of her spine to the base of her neck and a pale scar is present across her belly.

Gaian Name: Kind Stranger
-General
Name:
Samir Duran
Age: 28
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 176 lbs
Species: Yerk Infested Human
Job: Originally a Pilot, but adjusted to be an all-around soldier
Rank: Private

-Psychological
Personality:
Always seemingly calm, but also seldome smiles, always hiding everything that goes along in his mind, creating that certain air of mystery around himself. He's a type of person that gets to the point and could much care less about how people think about him.
Likes: serious people, obedient people, dead enemies, and chocolate; is fascinated by fire and water.
Dislikes: carefree people, timid people, liars, people who beat around the bush, idiots, Drathonians, and having the knowledge of the Yerken race revealed.
Goals: Samir's goals were intertwined with the Yerks' that "controlled" him. He wished the destruction of the Drathonian race, and for the Yerken race to enslave all living things in the universe.
-History
Short History:
Samir was only 12 years old when the years of Drathonian betrayal abruptly came and changed his life forever. His mother and father were astronauts who specialized in space exploration and so he always had to travel year by year in the very edge of the Terran colonial territories, making his life somewhat lonely. Nevertheless, he lived a happy life, even if it meant seeing his parents only once every week. The newly established colony they were in was so insignificant that the Drathonians didn't bother invading them, busy with destroying the densely populated Terran colonies far away. They could have lived simple lives, in eternal fear of when their colony would get noticed and invaded as well, but the Duran couple decided not to wait for that moment. They launched a space shuttle deep into the devastated Terran regions bringing as much supplies as they could, to provide relief for any survivors that could be depending on their arrival. Samir didn't want them to go, or at least go with them, but they denied him, and left him alone, in the small Terran colony. He never heard of them again.

2 years passed, and Samir's seemingly bleak home was discovered by some Terran forces seeking refuge from a hard fought battle. They told him of the great Terran devastation the Drathonians had caussed and this only angered and convinced Samir more and more that his parents were dead, killed by those serpentine monsters. He joined the Terran military and proved to be an ace soldier in hand in hand combat and sharp shooting, and was also a highly skilled pilot. The higher ups didn't know where to place him but the Terran fleet's desperate need for new recruits gave the final decision. He bonded easily with his fellow pilots and won significant missions, being heralded as among the greatest.

Then came one fateful mission. A Terran fleet went head to head with a Drathonian fleet two to three times larger above a large clouded world named as Trek. Despite the Terrans' tactical advantages, the Drathonians kept on recieving a lot more reinforcements than the Terrans did, which inevitably forced them to retreat. Samir was among those forces that were to hold back the enemy for the main ships to retreat. The retreat was a success, at the expense of several crafts, such as Samir's Scimitar Starfighter. He was shot down, and was forced to make a crash landing for the strange world that not much information was available of. He fell into a pool of dirty water, with strange slug like things swimming in it. He could feel a ferociously painful headache as these things dug deep into his skull and at first seemed to feed off his brain before finally settling into it like parasites.

They strived to force him into subjection, but somehow failed from his sheer determination. They conversed with him through his head, and spoke of the Drathonians being their enemy as well, killing off their hosts in their private world of Trek. They convinced him of a master plan to wipe out the Drathonians as a compromise to preserve both the Yerken and Human races, if he'd obediently offer them his assistance. He accepted, and in turn, his psychic abilities became so much more powerful, with the Yerks' specialized mental abilities - only effective with hosts. None of his old team survived the battle with the Drathonians that forced him intot he crash landing into Trek, but they were replaced by the Yerks' hosts, the Groods, vaguely humanoid, but larger and much more muscular, and had those extended tendrils that served as antennas for psychic connection among the Yerks. The Groods, in joint forces with the Terrans, used Terran technology to fight as separate Terran divisions. Duran was among one of those divisions, with one of the Groods being their captain. The Groods proved to be quite notorious, at par with that of Terran Special Forces, but remained to be in the shadows, much more for the slug beings that controlled them, mistaken as human elites by the Drathonians most of the time.

-Notes
Appearance:

Samir Duran, age 28
Duran was very muscular and agile, due to a lot of extreme physical conditioning in constant strife for surviival and in battles, as well as the powerful influence by his psychic ability to empower and exceed his physical limits.
Common Grood
Because the Groods were constantly in battle, their numbers severly lacking from being exterminated by the Drathonians, they kept on getting injured, losing body parts from time to time. The Yerks cannot afford to lose any more hosts, so they took advantage of the terran technology of robotics, and replaced the lost limbs and organs with mechanical parts. This allowed them to attach beam sabers on their arms for better hand in hand combat.

Distinguishing characteristics: He has a powerful psychic abiltiy and is "one" with the Yerks in his head, but from outside, he appears to be like any other normal Terran Soldier.
