"Yep," Manny said shakily as she got half up on the shelf, lifting one foot into the air with her hands outstretched. Her balance wasn't that great, so she had had to strain to tense her tail as a support. Hopefully he hadn't picked a really frilly dress, she had learned from Riley's advice that things like that were just kind of embarassing.

Harper quickly pulled the shirt over her and then fussed with the pants. "Dude. Your other leg!" He demanded, trying lamely to get the other pant leg through the foot still on the ground. "Oh fine, you get it on, but keep your eyes closed! I forgot something!" Harper exclaimed, running out of the dressing room in a hurry.
He came back quickly, proving he knew exactly what he forgot. He stuck the dress on the door in front of Manny so that' it'd be the first thing she saw, "I'll put the matching dress here, just in case."
He coulden't help but giggle then, as he picked up the necklace and pulled it over her head. "Boots. Done with those pants yet?"

Normally Manny didn't have any trouble dressing herself, but putting your pants on with no vision was kind of hard. Regardless she did her best to keep her eyes shut, even when her hand brushed a very poofy feeling fabric on the ground. Uh oh. Once the pants and boots were on she nodded, "Yeah, can I open my eyes now?"

The boots went on, and looking quite proud of himself Harper held a little purse in his hands. Okay, so he had put like three different patterns on the girl, but he thought it looked good and it... kind of matched.
BESIDES, he wanted the purse for himself!
"Yep. Open your eyes!" He moved out of the way of the dress and put the purse over his mouth to hide the grin he had on.

Naturally, the first thing Manuela saw when she looked down was the dress, and she screamed like a banshee. Then, as she turned around to make a face at Harper she saw herself in the mirror. "Oh," she said quietly, blushing a bit for having made a scene. "You jerk!" She laughed, moving the necklace around as she did a little spin, "But it does look awesome."

Harper was giggling at her scream, finding it quite hilarious. He threw the purse playfully at her head and put his hands on his hips, "What was that about? You don't like my dress!?" He mocked, shaking his head he turned to look in the mirror too.
"We look good." He confirmed, giving a nod and moving to throw his arm around her shoulder. "I guess this means Solo's out buying mutant ninja pajamas for nothing.."

Seeing it was just a joke Manny laughed along with him. When he put his arm around her she leaned into it, "We do look good." Wait, did he just say something about pajamas. "Strike a pose?" She suggested, reaching to steal the hat off of his head.

Harper considered and then quite stupidly used his free hand to make a gun motion and pointed it at the mirror. "Bang!" He said, winking, then shaking his head. "Not like we have a camera. Hey, wanna go do some other stuff or do you gotta go home, Manny?"

"True. We could go get some ice cream if you want, there's a place about a block down," she told him, "The buses don't come back by here for about an hour anyway." She smiled to the woman at the counter, who smiled back and looked over her outfit and the things she had brought up earlier. "Let's pay for this stuff," she added to Harper, picking up the outfit she had come in with. Her own bill was only twenty-three dollars, not bad for her two tshirts plus the entire outfit Harper had put her in. Thrift stores were fun. She paid the woman and took the bag that held the two shirts, stuffing her own old clothes in along with them.

Harper threw his stuff on the counter as well, and when everything was added up he looked at the three twenties in his shoes (clever place to hide money!) blankly.
Bill was twenty something for him too, and deciding he had no idea what twenty something was he just put all the money down. He got more money back, or so he thought, thinking the ones were worth as much as twenties and the fact he ended up with about five bills made him smile.
Like he would tell her she got cheated! He needed school so bad.
"Alright! Ice cream it is! Maybe we can find' a picture booth, too, and really strike a pose!"

A smile buzzed across Manny's face, "I hadn't thought of that! That would be so cool." She did a little spin out the door before heading to the right. She stopped when she reached the intersection, pushing the Crossing button a few times like Estelle had taught her to do. "The ice cream place is called TCBY. I don't know what it means but they've got some really awesome colored stuff that will dye your tongue," she told him excitedly, rocking on her heels while she waited for the light to change.

Harper scurried after her, frowning a bit at having to lug the shopping bag around. When he got to the light he watched her press the button and tapped his foot impatient, "Dye your tongue? Does it stay that way forever?" He frowned. That wouldn't be too much fun if you wanted a different color later, plus things might taste funny.
Really, considering he had gulfed down three burgers only a little while ago too, he shouldn't have been considering ice cream. But he was, certainly.
Watching the cars go by he gave a loud sigh, "I saw a guy on a skateboard earlier, that looked like fun.. would be able to ride through these cars before ya' got smashed, too."

"No, I think it only stays that way for a little while," she explained, just as the light changed and the little walk symbol came on. She waited two seconds in case someone was going to run the light, then started across, swinging her bag back and forth. She pretended for a moment she was one a skateboard, then hopped up onto the curb, adding to his comment, "I don't know, cars go a lot faster than skateboards."

Harper did his best to run across the street in an attempt to beat her, "You'd get a pink skateboard, wouldn't you?" He teased, grinning. "Wouldn't be so bad if you put stickers on it, I guess." He thought out loud.
"Hey, maybe I'd like a pink one too! Would just have to balance it all out with a lot of black. Hey! Look what my mom got me!" He remembered suddenly as they walked a long, fussing through his bag to find his old pajama pants he found a mp3 player in the pockets. Yes, the pajamas had pockets. It was apparently a customized thing and he was quite proud of it.

"I don't know, I think a pink one might get pretty dirty," she mused, trying to visualize one covered in stickcers. "That's so awesome," Manuela told him upon spotting the device, keeping an eye out for the tell tale yellow TCBY Treats sign, "I asked for one once and my mom just gave me her radio and said it would give me a wider range."
