Azreal's cold fingers only tightened around the man's neck as he slipped out of the waking world. A cold, dark determination burned like cold iron in his eyes.
These humans.... they were nothing but a virus. Destroying and spreading where ever they saw fit to infect! Even Lonar... the beastly, primitive monkeys had even taken Lonar!
Die.
Die.
Die!

He was dead...
The hood came off during the strangulation...curly red locks sprouted out of the back of an adolescent, eyeglassed, freckled head...
The dead eyes...they belonged to an innocent boy, nothing more...his soul was corrupted by the group, no doubt...
<>
He could feel the hate surge through his veins as the leader of the group stood stark still, hand indicating the large firepit in the center of the room.
Had they no feeling!? He'd just killed one of their own! What the hell was this, anyway!?

Azreal stood up from his kill, approaching the leader of the group with steely determination.
He had performed their damn task for them. He had fought one of their own.... he had killed one of their own. And yet they stood, still as the hooded statue he had first witnessed.
"Speak." commanded Azreal.
((Woo! Guess who just took the lead in most black morality points!))

The "statue" gripped his blade tighter, bringing it to view. Once again, he indicated the fire...and this time, indicated the hole, as well.

Fire.... hole.... damn it all, his dementia just made all this impossible to tell what was going on.
"Yes, there's a fire pit and there's a hole. You don't want me to jump in, do you? Do you want me to put the dead kid in it?"

No response. The "offer" still stood...it looked like he wanted Azreal to either come over to the pit with him or leave in peace...
Fair enough.

The Lonarian finally sighed and approached the fire pit with the seeming leader of the group. There was something off about this entire scenario... however, he had already come this far. Perhaps there was an reward ahead of him.

The hooded man walked to the fire pit with him and retrieved a small silver knife from the folds of his robes...
Grabbing Azreal's wrist with a large, gloved hand, the man drew the stinging blade across his forearm, letting 5 drops of blood be devoured by the white-hot embers...
Within seconds, the flame died out.
There was a communal gasp throughout the room. All of the hunters were shocked. Was this not supposed to happen?
Without further hesitation, the leader calmly removed his hood, revealing a craggy, scarred face...he looked like any ordinary hunter...except for the two glass eyes staring into the killer's soul...
He spoke softly.
"You are Lonarian. Why do you come here?"

Azreal reacted calmly most of the events, determined not to let his guard down or let any weakness show. He even remained calm when the knife was drawn, and only winced in pain when the blade was dragged across his skin.
Azreal placed the wound upon his mouth, cleaning off the blood and removing any potential poison, before speaking.
"I came to this place by chance, but I seek salvation for all Lonarians. I seek the key." spoke Azreal simply, waiting to see if his words had any effect upon the man.

They did not, or at least the man showed no reaction to the words.
"You are Lonarian. Sworn enemy of humans...one of the Rozen clan's blood...I do not fancy your acceptance to the Dark Hunter's Guild...but I must know...are you a supporter of Johann Rozen?"
The others waited in the dark, hoping for some sort of answer from this foreigner.

Azreal weighed his next response carefully. It could be an important move in the game he was playing now.
"No. I am allied to neither Rozen nor Kefka. I simply wish to restore Lonar to its rightful owners. Is that such a terrible goal?" he finally spoke.

At the utterance of Kefka's name, the leader himself staggered backwards a step. The others did not seem to recognize the word.
"K-Kefka...hah...it's been so long since I've...oh, God..."
His face went completely pale, and his attention level severely dropped...clearly, his mind was hovering around the name's importance...
Taking in a big gulp of air, he continued.
"Kefka is dead, I'm sorry to say. As for your non-alliance with Rozen...good. It's a start. I still don't know if we can accept you..."

Azreal paused for a moment. The young one wasn't the strongest grape on the vine, but these people seemed quite powerful. What had they called themselves? Dark hunters?
"I've completed your test. I've shown my ability. What more is there to show? Make me a Dark Hunter, and you will not have any regrets." he tried, reasoning with the old man.

"...fine. Welcome to the Guild. Rest here. We begin training tomorrow."
