"Meeting...meeting..." Bren rapped his fingers on the bar, watching Moriko walking down the stairs wearing her accusomted scowl. "Ah, yeah...to be presented."
He looked at Davey, "How come your sire didn't bring you? You know that you're aren't leagal? Your sire didn't get permission to bring you to the dark side. If the court upstairs wanted...they could set a hunt on you. Good thing the Prince is pretty nice."

He shrugged. "Hell if I know. He changed me and left me buried in a grave next to my parents'", Davey stated off-handedly. "I know as much as I need to eat...but that's more instinct than any sort of imparted knowledge."
It was odd that the thought of him being hunted didn't bother him in the least.

Bren nodded, thinking this information over. "Some of our kind can be cruel. Very cruel. They tend to think it's a game to played and won. It's more than that. We may not be living...but we're not dead. Our emotions are intact...most of them.:
He shrugged and downed the rest of his drink. He watched Moriko talking with Adam. "And sometimes you find some good among them...even if they seem like they might tear your head off. It's always hard to tell....and you can almost never trust who you're talking to."

Davey nodded and filed that away for future use. He was half tempted to turn and see who the other man was looking at. He didn't though, he knew that would be rude.
"I'll remember that," he said.

Bren looked back at him then nodded, "In the darkness, nothing is ever what it seems."
He ducked down behind the bar, rumaging for something. Also avoiding a looks from Moriko, who was now scanning the bar.

Davey watched as he ducked again, amused. He wondered if he was hiding from someone. If that was the case, he either did something really bad, or the other person was generally scary.

[ooc: in this case...probably both]
Bren peeked up overthe edge of the bar. "Damn...still looking for me. I can never get out of the guilded cage for a bit of fun."
He sighed and crouched, leaning against the shelves behind the bar. "Of course...I'll have to face it sooner or later...lots of cleaning...I hate doing windows."
He glanced up at Davey, then smirked. "Never let a woman be your keeper. The leash isn't bad, it's the nagging that gets me."
He stood up and slid over to the stairs when Moriko wasn't looking, then hauld up them two at a time. He didn't make not getting caught. She walked calmly after him, a stern look set on her face.

Sitting calmly in one of the chairs at one of the tables that surrounded the dance floor he watched as the red head spun and whirled in time to the music.
Admitting to himself that she was rather good Avery busied himself counting the money he had made with his services this evening. Just enough to make rent next week so now all he had to worry about was making enough to pay the enormous electricity bill he had coming to him. Damn super not fixing the heat so now he had to use a space heater.
Sighing to himself he supposed he could take on another client this evening but he wasn't sure he wanted one or even if there were any in this club. The only reason he was here was his last client had wanted to come out here. At least the little punk had paid well otherwise to hell with that. This place really wasn't his cup of tea at all.
((I wasn't one hundred percent sure about how to do this but if this is wrong tell me and I will delete the post. 3nodding ))

Jimmy watched the goings on from his corner of the club. There were alot of interesting people in there. Would any of them make good new recruits? He wasn't sure, for now he would watch and then maybe mingle a little. He felt that they would come to him.

Davey nodded. Well that solved that mystery. He watched as he dissappeared up the stairs.
Wait a second...hadn't the man said that the Prince lived upstairs? he thought. Well, it didn't really matter if the guy had been the Prince or not, he seemed nice enough.
He went back to tapping his fingers on the bar waiting for, Adam to return to take him up.

Adam was still mingling with various people in the crowd, it would be awhile before he made his way back.
Bently continued cleaning the glass he'd been cleaning, watching the crowd dance.

Lavina continued her dancing. She danced a song or two with those few brave enough to step up. Sadly there was no one yet to her liking, or at least was brave enough to do more than a few song's of dancing.

Jimmy watched the crowd. He saw a few dancing and mingling. Was he ready to approach? He hadn't really found anyone he wanted to talk to yet, so maybe he would wait a while longer. Jimmy held a glass in his hand and took a swig of beer.

Another day, another deadline met. Another scoop that made her editor forgive her for dragging in to work 2 hours late, looking like Hell. And she had only moved here a few weeks ago.
"Just getting warmed up," she thought smugly to herself.
Morgan shuffled down the street, flip flip, flip flop, in her cheap sandals and sweatpants, at least three pencils carelessly shoved through her ponytail. She'd already decided to take a different route home from work when she could. You never knew the stories you'd stumble across.
Her ears practically perked up as she passd a clubfront. There was Glamour in the pounding beat, and she smiled. She should be getting to bed early on a work night...but this was much more important. Besides, some strange incidents had happened not to far from here. She'd mollify her boss by telling him it was for a story.
She stepped inside, and Banality hit her in a tangible wave. She almost visibly flinched. "Concentrate on the music," she coached herself, but still felt somewhat diminished as she took a seat at the bar.
With a narrow notebook shoved into the back of her waistband and her T-shirt wrinkled, she was obviously not dressed to impress (or to come to work! as her editor constantly reminded her) as she ordered a Marguerita on the rocks; and yet she was perfectly aware of the intrigued glances she received.
((Morgan is a changeling satyr, since I don't have her journal up. So think sex appeal, not outright physical beauty.))

Bently eyed the young woman, then leaned on the bar after serving her drink. "Ye know, lass...ye might think about dressing up a bit better before next coming her. True enough, we don't have a strict dress code...but ye never know when you might need to dress to impress. Just a manner of oppinion."
He moved on down the bar to serve someone else.
Hooper skirted around the dance floor, he still wasn't feeling his top best. The trip to the doctor had about sapped his energy. He brushed one of his purple dreds from his hair, then found a seat in one of the tables closer to the bar. He sighed and watched the crowd a bit.
[Hooper's journal will be posted very soon.]
