Background: He travels the world insearch of mastery over his fighting style, and the demon who killed his lover and cursed his left arm.

Additional: Always caries a side pack that holds money and his medic-kit. Inside the kit holds the "Sage's Salve" (a healing salve capable of speeding up the healing process of any wound by 10.), and an enchanted suture kit that never runs out. (see journal for anyother updates in information.)

Background: I was born to a normal human family, and I was the first of 3 children. At a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a swordsman. I would take knives and swing them around as if practicing an art of swordsmanship. However, one fateful day, my house was broken into by a master thief who was a skilled swordsman. My parents tried to stop him, but he was too good. He killed both of them instantly...I swore revenge on him and I vowed to become the strongest swordsman to ever live. My 2 brothers and I moved to Japan so I could train in the art of Sentoryu, or the art of wielding 3 swords at one time. I worked day after day to become the best swordsman in the world...and at times, I doubted myself. But I pushed on, knowing what I had to do. And here I am, 7 years later, a Sentoryu Elite. And I am ready to take revenge on the person who murdered my parents.

Personality: Light-hearted and gentle around company in his home, he is understanding of almost anything. He holds no grudges or ill will towards anyone, knowing that life is far too short to hate someone. He dislikes stress and work, unless of course it involves his hobbies. While they are broad and extensive, Mace loves to study magic and cook. Fine cuisines are his specialty. He always smiles and laughs when he can, enjoying life endless possibilites with the curiousity of a child.

Even in combat, Mace never fails to spring out sarcasm. He's a witty, humorous, and social guy. He helps everyone around him when he can, especially kids. He adores them more than anything, liking to joke around and teach them random little tricks. He loves adventure, which is odd to know if you knew he's always at home studying and not travelling in the forest around his cabin. Also a bit quirky, he can be blunt.

Killing isn't a problem for him. If he needs to, he does it. He just won't want to think about it very much afterwards. Usually going into his tradition of drinking one whole bottle of Ashlockian Red Wine in a single night, just to make sure that person's memory lives on in him. But even with his laid back nature of being able to kill, he is wanting to become a father and have kids. Though most know that half-breeds of any species can't have kids. He has realized that a long time ago and wishes from time to time he was full Elf or Human.

Appearence: Lithe and slender, Mace is muscular and physically able to handle himself, whether it be in a fight or chopping wood. White-blonde hair hangs down to his shoulder-tops, often combed and kept neat. He isn't one to fuss about his hair so it only receives the basics in hygiene. His eyes are almond shaped, emerald green when tense, but a shade lighter when calm. His face is rugged, with a stubble beard coming in and caramel tanned skin. Body overall is just handsome, some even have called him a "Bishounen" on occasion. He wears no piercings or tattoos, just not liking the aura it gives off about him.

Alternate Modern Clothing: Black T-shirt, white button up shirt, and blue jeans with boots.

Weapons: Mace has always prefered diplomacy over everything else, but if a fight were going to happen, his alchemy weapons are his first choice. Since he has both lethal and non-lethal weaponry, he is fit for almost any situation. But once he runs out of supplies, his knives are next to come into play.

Each of his leather travelling boots have a hidden silver scabbard for stilletto knives. The scabbards resemble straightened naval saber sheathes with bronze links connecting them to the boots. The stillettos themselves are silver too, seven-inches long each with a brass handguard and leather wrapped handles. There is nothing special about these weapons.

On Mace's belt, normally two, wide, brown leather sheathes hold punching knives with flattened spade-like blades. The knives are made of fine steel and sharpened constantly, the upper half of the blade meant for making large puncture wounds. The handles are made with mahogany wood, brass pommels, and small crossguards that barely keep the hands safe. These don't have special abilities neither.

Now on to Mace's more elaborate tools.

Stored within a black satchel bag with a large flap and two outer pockets, three brown marbles bags is tied tightly so the contents don't spill out. Inside are thirty-two marble sized orange spheres, each packed in their own clear casing. Inside the orange goo, rust colored flakes can be seen. When one of these break open like a water balloon, the orange substance reacts to the oxygen in the air and bursts into flames. Next to these are two flasks of clean drinking water and six vials of a semi-thick, clear liquid that when in contact with the air becomes thick sheets of ice after a few seconds. Very effective against weakening armour so weapons can pierce them more easily. Or shatter them. Whichever comes first.

There is also a heavy duty mouth cover for breathing in a poisonus enviroment in the satchel too. He keeps this around mainly so he can toss around the brown powder in a wooden container with a screw-on top. The powder is berserker spice, which causes inhalers of this chaotic formula to become enraged beyond belief. They lose all weapon and magic proficiencies because of this, not able to keep focus long enough for hand gestures, incantations, concentration, etc. It's quite useful, making the victim wreckless and stupid. Though it also bestows unnatural strength because of the pumping adrenaline. Next to this is another vial, full of a red-brown acid that can burn through some metals. Only two-thirds of the vial is full. There is also another wooden jar full of something like sap that can be spread over the blades of knives, swords, arrows, etc. When the weapon makes a cut, the sap acts like rubbing alcohol and burns horribly until the person can caterize the wound. Scrapping it off is like rubbing sap off, it just simply won't come off that easily.

In the outer upper left-hand pocket is a simple oil burner. It's designed to have a candle burning underneath the pan so the oil burns above the flame, allowing it to spread more efficiently. The set is all packed there, a vial of foul smelling oil is found next to it. This oil, when burned, smells incrediably like hot metal, which causes Humans, Demons, Elves, and even a lot of monsters to feel light headed, nauseated, and ready to vomit at any given moment. Very helpful if you're wearing protection and give the fumes a bit of time to work. In the next pocket over is some oil and a dirty rag to clean Mace's knives with. Maybe even a wrapped snack.

Skills: While being an alchemy buff and knife fighter wannabe, Mace has obtained other skills too.

Night Vision: Mace is able to see clearly in darkness for up to sixty feet thanks to his heritage.

Knowledge-Alchemy: Mace is a genious when coming up with new inventions to fight with. He knows a lot about what chemicals to mix and what chemicals not to mix. Rarely does he ever imbue mana into his concoctions.

Knife Fighting: Learned out of boredom and the need for defense if magic is not available and his tools are all gone, Mace took up knife fighting so he could fight and rely on himself without the help of magic and unusual items.

Cooking: Astonishingly good cook. Mace can whip out many appealing dishes and desserts. His favorite food is chicken fettuccine alfredo with sundried tomatos layed ontop.

Alcoholic Beverages: Mace was once a bartender at a friend's tavern, gaining knowledge on how to mix drinks properly and serve them.
