The CocoaNut: A half-eat discarded candy bar brought to life and now using the husk of recognizable tropical fruit like some crabs uses sea shells. It's out for delicious milk-chocolatety revenge. whee

Jungles and beaches, huh? Well that's a neat idea... maybe items like the Old Can or boot will come from the ocean and attack us! I can't wait to kick at a boot... with my sandals! *snickers* *snort* Ahem, excuse me.

Well it's back up now. And a good thing to. I thought I was going to miss the opening release while I was away. It is nice to have all that good stuff collected in one place and in such a clearly presented, easy to understand, way. I hope this puts the nail in the coffin and stake through the heart of the Rings vs Weapons argument.
To bad that the children who don't read stickies and notices won't actually read the website. sweatdrop

I was learning about the battle system and really getting into it, until I read
about their "teen" community. I honestly feel betrayed by Gaia's focus on one
demographic, rather than the diverse population that's found here.
We're as Gaian as the younger generations; where's the love? cry

I have to agree with this too. I guess they may have based this on a poll taken a while back to find out what the average age range of a Gaian and go from there.
*shrugs* one of the things one has to keep in mind when building a site is what age range your audience is.
I'm just glad it didn't end up being one of the two extremes. Imagine if this ended up gearing toward kids that would just really turn me off. Same goes if it it were more of an adult themed (which I bet the teens wouldn't mind *shudders* (and yes I know not all teens think the same and that there are a few decent teens out there so don't get me wrong)) So perhaps the teen audience is alright not too childish and not too grown up (and probably the main target they were aiming for to begin with)

Gaians would have been the better word/name to use. Yes I'm slightly irked as well. This isn't MySpace, the point of the site isn't to "hook up" with your homies in RW (the Real World).
Although that fact that swarf put up an "Internet is for Porn" video on VJ. Quite the dynamic of Teen - Young Adult they're building. wink
