Anything's PossibleKim lounged in the grass, the bag of marbles held in her hand in front of her face. She'd gotten them from that Onilen lady the other night, and was still trying to figure out what to do with them... Torvil hadn't known either, so she let her mind ponder what the small round orbs were supposed to be for... A few thoughts came to mind, but she had dismissed them, reserving them for if she needed to get away from somebody, besides, they were too pretty to lose that way... She closed her eyes and rested her head on the grass, holding the marbles tight in her hand, heaing them shift in the bag.A winged shadow fell over the castle, as a dark shape landed on the ground....and promptly fell. "Oof."
Lex picked himself up, and looked around. "Well, at least it's the right place this time," he said. "This whole flying thing is more work than I thought!"
Brushing himself off, Lex wandered through the grounds, wondering if there was anyone here that day. Kim was walking aroudn the castle grounds, looking at the marbles still... Not really focused on where she was going, actually more intent on the bag and the pretty round contents...
She'd still not figured out a way to USE them without losing them, and they were a gift... and she didn't want to LOSE them...
She bumped into... Someone and let out a high pitched grunt.
"Oh, I'm sorry..." she said putting the bag of marbles down from her face.
... Then she just started... What... what was this... THING! Lex was wandering around, absorbed in the scenery. Which was why he didn't see the other person coming until it was too late.
"Oh!" he began. "I'm sorry...guess I should have been looking where I was going....are you alright?" "I-I..." Kim blinked a few times. "I... I am okay... Are you?" she asked still staring... Then she shook her head, remebering it was rude to stare, Torvil had often told her so.
"I'm sorry for staring..." She murmured kicking her left foot with her right. "I've never seen anything like you before..." Lex laughed. "That's okay....Mum says that she hasn't seen anyone like me before, either." He stuck out his hand, remembering all the times it had been drilled into him by his mum. "I'm Lexington, the Mysterious Thing!" he said, with a grin. "My older-younger brother Gwyn calls me the 'little pest', but most people call me Lex." Kim took his hand with her free one and smiled. "I'm Kim!" She giggled and looked at the marbles in her other hand again then back at Lex. "Do you know how to use these?" She asked lifting up the bag of Marbles and frowning. "I don't, and they were given to me by somebody as a gift..." She pouted. "I don't want to lose them and the only way I can think to use them would make me lose em..." Lex frowned, then picked up one of the marbles, turning it over in his hand. "Shiny," he said, before shaking his head. "Sorry. I've never seen those before...wonder what you do with them?" Kim shrugged. "The only thing I can think of is throwing them at sombodies feet and making them fall down..." She huffed. "but then I would lose them all..." She pouted. "And I want to keep them..." She huffed and put a hand on her hip. "I really wish I knew!" Lex grinned. "That would be funny...but it would be a good way to lose them." He frowned, still rolling the glass marble around in his hand. "Who gave them to you? Maybe they would know what they are for." "A friend of my 'Daddy's' wife..." Kim said, pouting a little. "I don't know where she is though, and I don't want to bother her, and Torvil isn't around to show me... well actually I already asked him and HE didn't know..." She sighed and pouted, holding the bag open for a little while longer looking at the marbles. "Maybe I'll figure it out..." Lex sighed. "Maybe my mum would know...if she were here, that is. Either her, or Auntie Morgan." He looked at the girl. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" Kim shurgged. "None that I know of..." She pouted. "Torvil has a son somewhere else..." She sighed. "But he never has taken me with him to go see him..." She put her fists on her hips again, closing up the marble bag in the process. "I don't think it's fair, he spends so much time with him and not me..." She grumbled and shook her head, pouting. "That's too bad," said Lex. "Mama says she tries not to favour one of us over the other." He paused, staring at the marbles again. "They really are kinda shiny....maybe you could collect them..."
Lex shook his head, as if to clear it. "Sorry, got distracted. I have a brother, Gwyn," he continued. "He's really supposed to be younger than me, but he acts alot older, and can be a real pain sometimes." He leaned in close to Kim. "Mum says sometimes that she wishes she had a little girl to fuss over," he said. "Instead, she got two boys." Kim giggled. "Torvil..." She sighed. "I'm not Torvil's real daughter, his son is his by blood... He explained it to me once..." She sighed and shook her head. "I'm not mad at him about it, he says that I'm just as special, and he tries to spoil me, I know he does..." She smiled weakly at Lex and sat down playing with the grass a moment. "You see... He's not used to raising little girls, it's pretty obvious... I think he's scared he'll make a mistake..." She giggled. "That's kinda the same with me," said Lex. "Both Gwyn and me were found by Mum not soon after she first came to Gaia. I was found first," he added proudly. "Auntie Morgan says that Mum would never consider having a child of her own, and that we were un-ecks-spected," and here he stumbled over the long word. Kim smiled. "My dad has several children of his own, he's says I'm gravy..." She giggled and stuck her tongue out for a moment. "But I think he's just saying that cause he doesn't want me to think he doesn't love me..." She hugged her knees for a moment and sighed. "I know he does, it's just that he has a bad habit of getting VERY BUSY..." She frowned and huffed. "Then maybe you gotta make time," said Lex, nodding. "My mum was pretty busy too...still is, actually," he said, frowning. "I never used to be able to come here, 'cos she didn't have time to take me." He grinned. "So I'd sneak out by myself! I'm glad I've grown now, so I can fly here on my own." Kim giggled. "Daddy let me stay here, he'd find a safe place for me to stay till he could find me... well... when I was an item he'd stayed with me.... When I grew up, he said he knew I could probably take care of myself a bit..." She smiled. "He's very proud of me..." She stood again and hoped up on one foot testing her balance. "He says I'm the strongest little girl he's ever met!" "So you're here by yourself, then?" Lex asked. "And you're looking after youself, too? Wow." He thought for a sec. "Mum's only just letting me explore by myself - although I wouldn't put it past her to follow me, or anything," he giggled. He looked at Kim. "You must be pretty brave, to take care of yourself. I bet you could do anything!" Kim smiled and hopped to her other foot. "Ooooh well, maybe not ANYTHING... almost anything..." She giggled and finally just stood up straight and smiled. "But you never know..." She sat down again and smiled. "I'm sure you could do it too if you tried..." "Nah...not yet, anyways," he said. "Besides, our house is big and old...Mum and the others might get lonely without me to liven things up," he chuckled. "Say...maybe you should come over one day. I'm sure Mum wouldn't mind, and there's lots of stuff to explore." Kim tapped her chin at that. "I'll ask my father the next time I see him!" She smiled and nodded. "If he says yes then sure!" She would love that! She giggled a bit and thought for a moment. "And even if he does say no..." A slightly mischevious gleam came to her eyes. "He won't know unless I tell..." Lex laughed. "That's the spirit," he said, with a grin.
He looked up at the sky. "Uh-oh - it's getting late, and I'd better hurry back home before Mum sends out a search party," he smiled sheepishly. "I'm just learning to fly, so it takes me a lot longer to get home."
He turned to Kim. "It was nice meeting you, Kim - hope to see you around the place!"
With that, he spread his wings, took a long run-up, and launched himself into the air. After wobbling precariously for a moment, he glided away, waving to Kim as he dissappeared into the distance. Kim smiled and waved back, standing again and wandering off to go find a place in the castle to sleep for now. There was usually a room open at some point...

Er, hello.
it was hard writing at first but mum and auntie morgan showed me how to form letters and stuff. mum even gave me this diary to write in! she says that a dairy is a very special book where you write your feelings and things like that. she said that when i was a disk, she wrote entries about me in her own diary, but that now i was bigger and had hands i could write for myself.
she showed me the book - it is black and shiney. mum wont show me what she wrote inside as she says diaries are supposed to be private, so i'm keeping my diary in a secret place. i don't want gwyn to read it - he is big enough now to understand words. he grewe one night when me and auntie morgan were watching the magic box tv. it is very strange as now he is lots bigger than me. some words he says are very big and i cant understand what he says - and he is supposed to be my younger brother?
auntie morgan calls him the older-younger-brother. it is a good name. i like auntie morgan - she has good taste in moving pictures movies.
i went back to the castle again yersterday. i hadnt been there for a long while because mum couldn't take me, but now i can fly by myself i can go when i want. i met a girl there called kim. she was really nice and very brave i thought. she lives by herself! i couldnt imagine living by myself - i think i could get lonely.
i cant think of what else to write so i wont write anymore.
goodbye diary! (for now)

New Life and New Civilisations((Just a little quickie.)) With only a small 'thump', Lexington landed in the castle courtyard. At least he had gotten better with the landings.... Celes sighed. This was -not- good. It wasn't just that she had fallen asleep and awakened in this strange place. Though, she liked to think she kept a little bit better guard on herself than to allow any moving of her sleeping body to happen. Then again, she didn't remember being sleep enough to fall asleep anyhow. No, but now she was...well, rather feline. Not completely feline, or she'd really be in woe, but her ears were those of a cat, and she had whiskers and, of all things, a tail...along with a light dusting of yellowish fur all over her body. Now how, precisely, was she supposed to expect anyone to take her seriously as a soldier when she was trussed up as a cat? The little girl jumped, hearing a thud behind her, "State your name and purpose!" she demanded, turning around to face the strange green creature. Lexington blinked. For as he picked himself up, he found that he was no longer in the castle. But he had no time to ponder his surroundings, for he found himself suddenly accosted by a cat-girl.
"L-Lexington. Of nowhere-in-particular. My purpose is to explore..." he grinned, not being able to resist, "...to boldly go where no whatever-they-are has gone before." Celes blinked a moment, staring at him. She wasn't quite sure -what- he was. But then, it was perfectly possible that whatever had happened to turn -her- into a feline had turned him into some kind of green creature. "Euh. That is a strange name. Did you come by whatever this curse is as well?" she tugged at one of the fuzzy ears self-consciously, "I do not think soldiers are supposed to be cats." "Curse?" Lex looked puzzled. "Maybe...I don't know. I've always been like this - though nobody as yet has been able to figure out what I am supposed to be." He shrugs. "What's your name?" Celes tilted her head thoughtfully, whiskers quivering curiously, "Always...well, then, I guess you haven't....I've never been feline before. This is very strange." She put a fuzzy paw out, frowning at it as she did so, "I am Celes Chere." Lex grinned, and took the offered paw.
"Really?" He had never heard of anyone getting turned into something else before. "You mean, like magic?"The girl shrugged, "I don't know. All I know is that I fell asleep, woke up in this strange place with fur all over my body." She tugged at her ponytail uselessly, wondering just what -had- happened, and where they were at. Not only that, but she rathered wondered where Viki had gotten off to. Doubtless she was completely lost. Lex frowned. "That's strange. I saw the castle as I flew here, but when I landed...it had vanished." He looked around. "Probably *is* magic around, then. Mum's always fond of saying that when strange things happen, there is usually magic involved."Celes pondered this a moment, "I suppose. I have a talent for magic, you see. At least, that is what Boyue told me. I haven't yet figured out how to work it. I guess that will just take time." She didn't really know anything about magic. She'd have to look it up whenever she finally managed to get back to the Moonglade. She was pretty sure that grandfather's library ought to have something on it, considering how magically talented the elf himself was. Lex pondered this. "That might be useful," he said. "I think Mum knows magic too. At least, she has a teacher..."

((OOC Note for Vin : You are a brave girl. I commend you smile
You probably know Lex (the real one, that is) better than I do, but here are a few small things.
He's a little ball of energy biggrin Likes meeting people, and has no problem talking to them whatsoever. Generally outgoing. Overly curious (I like this original description. Suits him to a T.) Technology 'geek' - shows a great interest and liking for science fiction, especially.))
