Oh right, some Space Wolf rumours:

- There will be a special character riding a Rhino sized wolf.

- Woof characters can be customized with sagas. For a set amount of points you can add heroic tales to your character, which in turn confer a special in game bonus.

- Woofs will have special lightning claws called "the Wolfs Claws" that allow for either a re-roll or misses or wounds.

- Scouts gain access to the LS Storm

- Assault Marines gain the new name Storm Riders

edit.

Ok i can tell thats from White Dwarf, but what issue exactly? The only previews of models we've had in the latest White Dwarf in England has mentioned new Imperial Guard models being released towards the end of the year but no Space Wolves.
From what the guys at my local GW tell me is that all updates and future releases are featured in every White Dwarf across the globe.

The WD issue in question is the August issue and the large image is from GW's newsletter, along with the following description:

"The Space Wolves were one of the first Space Marine Chapters founded by the Emperor; fierce and barbaric heroes of legend who charge fangs bared into the teeth of the enemy. In October, this Chapter of ferocious warriors is being re-launched with a brand-new Codex and range of Citadel Miniatures."

I know what i'm buying

GD UK is in the last week of September, so you'll get Space Wolves one week ahead of the official release schedule, not a whole month. confused

And beware, the GD UK Woof stuff will be in limited number, so be there swiftly.

I am planning on doing a possibly dumb project. I will make two custom minis, of the same character. I have planned to fluff out my chapter master, so that I will have a squad of scouts, plus him, and him alone as a full space marine. Sort of like a before/after timeline.
He will favor his shotgun, and will use one as a scout, and have it belt holster as the master. I will have 5 other scouts to add to the squad. what should I give the squad to keep it nice and fluffy, while still usable in a way?

<.< Is it just me or has the GW´s mail order gone bad recently?
This is the 4rth week I´m waiting for my miniatures that I ordered. gonk

@bjs.09-00:
Sounds cool. surprised
Depends really, is he the squad leader or is one missing?
And that will it be more of a close quarter squad or a let´s-shoot-stuff?
Shotgun makes me quess close quarter, then perhaps arming the rest with
shotguns aswell or perhaps have few with CCW+bolt pistols.

Then again if it´s fluff-wise, which tend to be better then in the games,
a sniper to sit and take down treaths, heavy bolter/missile launcher
to giver covering fire/cause disruptions and rest with shotguns/bolters AND CCW+Bolt pistols. 3nodding

Asmondai:
He will just be another scout amongst his 5 fellows, with a veteran sergeant
(first company, hopefully not fluff breaking to have a first company veteran..teaching scouts. They are warriors without peer, so who better to teach the recruits?)
And I was hoping for a bit of a fluffier squad, that I could still use to play with in case I need a cheap troop choice! 3nodding
I like the sound of heavy bolter's poisoning ability, but i do love my rockets..
plus the design of the heavy bolter for the scouts, to me, is really really cool looking.
So I am thinking him with the shotgun, 1 scout with heavy bolter, 2 bolters, 1 CC+pistol, and sergeant with I'm thinking either powerfist and bolt pistol,
or combi-weapon and plasma pistol...not points effective at all, but cool looking, and fitting a veteran I would think?

So a 6 men squad then?
Arent scout sergeants actually a member 10th rather then other companies? <.<
Correct me if I'm wrong here....

Combi-weapon does make it seems abit more veteranic....

According to all my sources, "The Sergeant of the Scout squad leads his scouts in what it is to be a space marine.."
I am basing part of it on Cyrus, of dawn of War 2, however it much of it was canon or not is debatable ( rolleyes ), but he does mention he served on the Deathwatch,
and that implies he is a full fledged battle brother of some sort.
Also, the stats for the Sergeant are that of a space marine: The only difference being he has more attacks than a normal battle brother.
Thus, I assume he is of at least a sergeant position in a tactical squad, or anything else equivalent.
It also hints that first company veterans serve in whatever company they are needed, and assuming the sergeant was proficient at the
arts employed by the scouts, I think we can assume he would serve the role of a scout sergeant, right? confused
I just don't want to have him painted, fluffed, et cetera, and bring him into the shop or into the greater world and receive the full fury and rage of enraged shop patrons.
