I take back all I have said about the mod battle...and anything bad about the RP in general, if I have sweatdrop
That pair of posts must be the greatest things I have ever read...surpassed only by a small handful of other books (and a fanfic by a near-professional writer)

What happened in the uber post?
I'll read it later, it's just I'm really busy.
Actually I'm going to read it now.

...I read the uber posts, and have no idea really what happened.
What did the explosion do?
Harata was near the training grounds, what state would that put her at?

No effect, aside from the noise of the bang in the far distance.

@ Lorika: Well, I can't NOT save his life somehow...if I didn't think of the alchemy thing, I would have had him 'Trampoline' off of another flying chunk of debris (or bend the rules and do it anyway...the skill only says 'gust of air from below' or something like that) , thereby allowing him to use the 'and float back down' portion of the skill...if not that, probably Change Form to get more (floating) fat, thus allowing him to swim back to the island in relative safely...it was all a matter of believability and non-loser-ity
ALSO:
woops...I made a HUGE mistake...CO2 doesn't react with Hydrogen that way *rushes off to fix*
EDIT: okay...so I slightly broke a law of physics with that one. The amount of energy to break water into oxygen and hydrogen is supposed to be the same as the amount of energy released in the explosion...oh well, it is taking Xeiashi's energy to perform the spell, and with the whole 'energy/matter cannot be created or destroyed' thing, it works out. END RESULT: Xeiashi sacrifices small parts of his body (small, dead skin flakes, for example) to help fuel the spell

I have a feeling I should post something there, but the mood Lorika is in Harata would not be welcome, and I can't think of what to say.

@ lorika: hooray! survival at the cost of the laws of physics!
@ grunny: Well, to NOT make a 'WTF happened?' post for Harata would be entirely out-of-character...when something happens, humans gather like moths to a flame...besides, Harata doesn't know that she is unwanted...so shoving her into that situation will develop her character and advance the storyline (ramble ramble ramble...)

Wagh, I suppose I'd better reveal the extent of the damage. * Only the first two floors suffered damage... but that damage is TREMENDOUS. * There's basically a big, gaping hole where all of the orange and black is.
* Thank god there was so much magic put into the construction. Everything down past the top library wall and the practise rooms remain untouched. The girls' bathroom got lucky, being just above the practise rooms.
* The third floor remains totally intact, looming like a weird roof above all the devastation. This is why the smoke had such trouble escaping at first.
* All windows in the Temple were shattered.
* The explosion shook the entire building, as you'd expect, but these are the only buildings directly damaged. I suppose if you want to include other "damages" it would be things falling over.
* A list of casualties has yet to be determined.
