Honestly, I had very low hopes because I read the books and am a huge fan and as much as I love Tim Burton, I was worried it might get slaughtered. Anyway, if they tried to remake Through the Looking Glass, then they messed it up, however, I don't think that's what they were aiming for. There certainly was stuff from that story but it seemed like it was supposed to be a new one. By itself, it was a pretty good movie and SURPRISINGLY gorey for a PG rating. My god. lol. They got a little carried away with that.
I have a lot of things I could nitpick about but in general it was surprisingly pretty good.

Lol I didn't plan on going so soon but the bf had an old gift card for the movie theater. We saw the 3D Imax version though so even though we paid only half price for the tickets we still spent 23 dollars which is ridiculous.
