It's Gaia's quick way of making the skins look different from the regular "human" skin. I thought the alien skin was horrible because they just "cut out" parts of the avatar's body to make it look like a skinny little alien, and it looked shoddy and ragged. :b

Edit: Snowman, I'm not sure if you automatically check but I put up the second part of ToM's prologue. I'm still uncertain what I think of it, but oh well.

I love linguistics and etymological study, but I have no "ear" or "tongue" for actually understanding or speaking other languages. I only know select phrases in words in a handful of other languages.
