Why all the questions? Oh right, to Zahara these sorts of things were kind of foreign to her. "Well, I use it because we're engaged." A sideglance at Malik as he tried to bribe imps. Okay that was a little amusing.

She sighed, rubbed the back of her neck with a hand. "I've stopped in every palce I could find, but no one is willing to go to this place. It's headmaster has a reputation." She looked angry all of a sudden. "I hate to say it's rather accurate."
"I was hoping that someone would help. I didn't know that this man in the fortress would not be inclined to do so." She shrugged. "Unless your lying."

The elf held up his hands, "I could not accurately say if the one who is supposed to be there is alive or not, but I would guess the one who answered my summons was a bit... Rambuncious and tried too hard to manipulate me."
"The Headmaster of the school has a reputation?" The elf paused, "Is this parchance a magic school?"

She looked slightly hopeful, but also slgihtly scared, as if dreading the answer to her next question. "Do you know of it?"
"It is magic school yes. My sister went there to train."

"He kills everyone, adn that includes your star flower and piper. woudl you like to have star flower and piper act like those...soulless things? woudl you like for your star flower to loose her ability to have fun, or hug any of you? or Piper to lose her ability to care and comfort you? and if there's nothign living..there's no fun. the dead don't feel, and they don't care, adn they won't be the least phased at all by anything you do."
crossing his arms.
"Is a year of amusement worth thousands of boredom? Is watching Star flower or piper die worth not ever having them again?"

Okay hat would be a NO! But she wasn't going to bust out and say all that, she was going to remain quiet and let things lie. Or so to speak. She did look at piper, "You're engaged to him?! Why?" she said it before she thought about it and shook her head, "I mean...yeah. Why?" who on earth would marry that thing? Apparentely Piper but hten seh did have a Drow complex, maybe this was just part of it. "Would any Drow do or is there some special reason you chose...Malik?"

"No, I have not. I heard a few whispers of people with children or such up north, but nothing really substantial. I would not mind going to a wizarding school, they are usually steaming with intellectuals who actually know how to hold a conversation..." The elf paused and frowned slightly, "Or reclusive wizards who hate guests." Equally common in this underdark.
"Your sister went to this school to train..." Something was begining to seem fishy, or Cedric was still in a rather foul mood for the last conversation being so short. "Is she being treated ill and refused to leave by a malicious dictator?"

Malik chuckled lightly at both the imps and Zahara.
"Oh but my little imps. can you even be killed? if you cannot be killed, you can't die, adn if you can't die, you'll be the only living things in a wasteland of boredom and no one to pay any attention to you."
Logical. and at least, the conversation was keeping them occuipied. and an occupied imp was better than a fun seeking one at teh moment. though a small smile to Piper, it was going to be interesting to see how Zahara reacted to this.

Oh wow, Zahara just got her full attention as Malik too to trying to convince imps of things. Turning in her chair to look at the drow, Piper blinked and wrinkled her nose, giving a little distastful look. "By elvish gods no, not just any drow would do. In fact I probably wouldn't have anything to do with drow if it wasn't for Malik." Another blink at Zahara...but she was trying to use patience, for as she thought on before, this was all forgein to Zahara. "I told you, I love him...that's why I'm engaged to him. I want to spend the rest of my life with him." And then a long silence to the drow...hm...this may be a little hard for her to simply take and divided attention wasn't helping. "Need we go someplace private for some girl talk?"

She looked slightly disappointed. "Oh."
"No, guests are alright, if your male." She looked down at the ground, looking quite angry and frustrated. "That's the thing. I don't know. I told her I'd wait outside with the lizards until someone came or we were othewise directed to take them to a stable. She went in, but she never came out. I waitd there for hours, I even tried to get inside."
She gave hims a bit of a hurt look, that last question had been asked with quite an edgy tone. "Look, no one said you had to help me."

Six pairs of shoulder shrugged, but they didn't asnwer that part aobut whether or not they could eb killed. "We'll just open up a gate to place where everyone is still alive."

Okay..she was in love with him. Right. She knew that, really. though why she'd want to bind herself ot him, well that just didn't make any sense. But if Piper wanted to do it then far be it from Zahara to stop her. She glanced at the line of imps and Malik and didn't like the thought that her fate was currently hanging in the balance though she had a feeling that if it came down to it Malik would let her die and save Piper if he could. Though if this thing was going to kill of everythign that meant Malik too. That might be a good thing. She looked at Piper. "Umm...sure?" Girl talk? Right.

Cedric placed a hand on his chin, "Your sister went there to be trained, but they only allow male students in, and she went inside and never came back out?" Piecing this together was not hard, but there seemed to be a few holes.
"I am male, they would allow me to visit the school. I could go and find out what happened to your sister." When in doubt, take the naive stance and pretend that these things were not traps. It was ethically better to be caught in on of these traps than allow oneself to believe that they always were. What if she wasn't lying, and there really was a girl trapped within a mage school... Being a nice person meant he had to trust her on this.
"I shall assist you in this quest to discover the wearabout and livelihood of your sister."
