Kasaki looked down, his strange eyes becoming unfocused. That's right... some people have families that they can count on.
"That's... why I came here..." He turned and looked at Inoka. "You see... my father and brother have left me here, in Konoha."
((Crap, I hope I haven't just locked us in, waiting for Kouri))

"Sorry," Inoka apologised to Kazemaru again. "We'll definitely fight, I promise!" Reaching forward into Kasaki's basket she deftly plucked a pork bun out of it.
"I haven't had your homemade dishes in YEARS," she said and took a big bite. "And they're still as good as ever!" And she nodded, expression turning a little more subdued as he mentioned Cerbi. "Yeah.." she echoed. "Cerbi was a cool Kage. Even if I didn't know her as well as you do.
"Oh, my God," Inoka said abruptly and turned to Rin and Kazemaru. "I'm so sorry. I've been so rude. Kasaki was on my team before, if you haven't figured it out... Yeah. I'm a little excited. Sorry... and you know what, Kasaki? My house is full of ingredients, my dad can't cook for anything and my mum..."
But then, she stopped at Kasaki's last words. She couldn't believe it for a while but, knowing Kasaki's dad, it was probably true. Still, she couldn't see how a parent could just so heartlessly dump his child like that. Especially such a gifted person like Kasaki! He was hot and cooked really well too. Sort of like Jamie Oliver who she had seen on TV a couple of times.
There was a small silence as Inoka struggled to think of what to say, but she couldn't really. I mean, she had a loving family who would hopefully never dream of doing that.
"Oh Kasaki.." she eventually said, her tone inflected heavily with sympathy. "That has to suck hugely... I'm so sorry.. do you have anywhere to live?" she asked suddenly. "If you don't, you can come live with me. Where the hell did your dad go?!"

"Yes, I have a place in which to live." Kasaki said. "It's actually much more peaceful now that my father has left, to where I do not know, nor do I wish to. And please, your offer is very generous, but I wouldn't like to impose."
He knelt down on the ground again next to Inoka. "It's just nice to know that I'm not completely alone anymore." He smiled at Inoka, this time it was a true smile.

"You wouldn't be imposing, but if you want to... well, you'll always be welcome in our place!" Inoka said by way of conclusion. "And hey, you got us!" She gestured around at Rin and Kazemaru.
"So..." she said, finishing the pork bun. "What do you guys want to do? Sit around talking more or train?"

Rin grinned brightly. "I'm up for either or... but I think it would be cool if we started building our fort... I'm really looking forward to that." She bounced up and down on her toes and finished her pork bun and grabbed another. This guy was an amazing cook.

Kasaki smiled weakly. "Eheh... I guess I'm okay with either, as well." He stood up and stretched, assuming they would be doing hand-to-hand.
He peered at Rin. "A fort? If you want a hideout we could always use my house. It's more than big enough for all of us, and I could always use the company." It wasn't like him, inviting complete strangers into his home, but he'd been alone for so long...

Rin pondered his suggestion for a while. "That would be cool... and then we could have underground tunnels, and lead to the forest and secret hideouts everywhere..." Her imagination was probably going to be a little too much for everyone... but with a smile she bounced up and down. "Why dont we talk while we train? Everyone can multitask, and talking while training is another type of training... it'll strengthen our lungs sine we'll be using a lot of oxygen to talk instead of it all going to our muscles..."

Kasaki laughed. "I suppose we could, there are plenty of ground floor rooms that we could make tunnels from. In fact..." Kasaki froze. "I think we should stop talking about this here, we could always go to my house later and talk about it."

Rin caught the hint easily and smiled. She was glad to make him laugh... especially after he was so shy before. "Alright, talk later... but what now. Inoka? We're up for anything... so... you make the decision."

"I think that it's a great idea," Inoka said with another grin. "I've always wanted to go to Kasaki's house. And the idea of underground passages sounds really cool."
Her grin turned sheepish as Rin turned to her. "I'm not the leader or anything, you know... it's like, a democracy! The majority wins. But anyway, I'm all for going to Kasaki's place. Let's go, Kasaki, lead the way!"

Rin jumped up and down higher. 'Alright! Right behind you guys!" She walked up and stood beside Inoka with a wide grin. Then a thought struck her and she pondered it for a moment. 'Ya know... I've never been to anyone's house before... This'll be so cool!"

[We're all heading to Team 5! Change of plans!! Uhm... pretend the suggestion about Kasaki's house never happened. O_o]
"Ne ne ne, I have a great idea~" Inoka said enthusiastically. "See, my team used to have this great training place. With a lot of equipment, and it was somewhere in the forests too. I don't know why it didn't strike me sooner, but we can go there and train! I'm serious guys. The hut there has so much stuff, it would be so useful for us.
"At any rate," Inoka declared. "I am heading there now. Feel free to follow me if you want!"
