Maybe some skyborne commandos I've got a pile of Elysian D-99 veterans that double as my Kill-team. The NCO has a lasgun with built in grenade launcher and the specialist packs a plasma gun. I added extra kit such as pouches, rope and grenades from the Scout plastic kit to make them look more special.

Lt. Brookman Caleidah Van Evok can anyone say A-10 tank killer? ...I'm totally gonna mod mine to look like A-10s. Thanks for the idea. I'd more go with Apache or Hind, definitely Hind, because for that price the Vendetta retains its ability to carry a squad. Plus it can take the usual rocket pods or Hellstrike missiles plus door mounted heavy bolters. The Hind definitely fits the current ruleset a bit better, too.

Let's talk Valkyrie madness. I'm probably not the only one who is planning on getting a shitload of Valkyries sooner or later. I plan on turning my current 500 pts Elysian D-99 platoon into a more threatening (not really) air-mobile unit with no less than eleven flyers. Seven of these will be used to transport the command squad, two special weapon squads and four veteran squads, one will be turned into a standard gunship for fire support, one will be converted into a suitable medevac craft complete with stretchers and a crash team on station while number ten will be a supply / logistics bird for the heavy lifting of extra supplies and drop Sentinels. Backing this all up is number eleven, a Vulture with lascannons and rocket pods.
Only things I need now are the actual kits and some printable decal paper for the delicious pin-ups and other assorted nose art that they will receive.

If/when I get it all put together, I'm going to try and field the maximum three allowable by codex. D-99s sound like badasses of a massive scale, though. I've had a peek at the rules for 'em and that thought is pretty well supported, especially by the Drop Sentinels.

Three? The codex allows for nine Valkyries, three per squadron.
In regards to D-99, they are the special forces of the Inquisition, they'd better be bad a**.

Hah, ********, I thought that it was a 0-1 on Squadrons. That makes it infinitely more slick. Given that Vets can be taken as troops...hm...

Take six veteran squads, some storm troopers and a HQ, load them all up in Valkyries or Vendettas and race like hell. Maybe take some Rattlings and have them loiter the board with their food items.

What has Bastonne got going on for him? Moreso, what will this food do for the Ratlings? @Neogoth: If you pop in at your local game store, they should have small packs of three models. If not there, you can find them on the GW website. They're well made snaptogether models that can be used for test painting. If you want to test assembly on the models, ask a Guard player in your area if they'd be willing to let you at some bitz.

@Caleidah: I have no idea, but the new rules include some sort of odd bonus for them gorging on snacks. Maybe a bit like the power pellet from Pacman? @Neogoth666: Pop into your local GW store and ask for one of these, which might be better than asking for them here.

I've seen that one around, and as I've heard that's just a conversion, if you look at it this is heavilly converted from baneblade parts by shortening them.
