Allen grinned and jogged to the others. "How far from Lumiose is the sub, anyway?" He remembered looking up rivers large enough it could fit in. sure it was a pretty small sub, but not very many to his knowledge ran very deep so near the center of the region.

Caleb nodded. "Yeah. I'll make sure that we don't take long..." he answered. He jogged towards the center with his Mudkip bundle.

Maddy followed behind Caleb, on the way to the Pokémon Center. She had her hands in her pockets as she walked. "We left it in one of the rivers that run outside the city." Maddy said to Allen. "If I remember correctly, it was slightly northwest of Lumiose City. Not very far outside town." As she spoke, she wondered what kind of condition the sub was in by now. It had been left for so long. Would it even still work? Submarine maintenance wasn't quite her forté.

Caleb went through the automatic sliding doors and took his Mudkip to the front desk for the nurse to take a look at him. Squirming out of the towel, the Mudkip looked around the room. Then he saw the nurse. He turned and looked to Caleb, wearing the angriest face Caleb had ever seen him wear. Then again, that was the first time Caleb had ever really seen the mud fish angry before.
Caleb told the nurse his Mudkip's symptoms. The nurse listened quietly until he was finished. She told Caleb that they'd take a look at him. A few simple tests and he'd be out in no time. Caleb nodded and thanked her. An Audino with a little nurse's cap came out and helped take the Mudkip into the backroom.

Ace catched up to the group and followed slightly behind Maddy and Allen. Listening onto their conversation, she frowned and squinted as an attempt to recall the last memory she saw that old hunk of junk. She answered, out of the blue, toward Maddy and Allen. "Probably a bunch of wild pok'mon. Wouldn't be su'prised if they start'd ta live there. Could be trubles'me."

Maddy waited for Caleb outside the Pokémon Center with the others, leaning against the side of the building with her hands still in her pocket. She was happy to see others slowly joining them. "Yeah, I say Pokémon will be the main problem." She said, with a sigh. "I just hope we'll be able to easily steer the sub up the rivers to the lake here in Anistar. It'd be nice to have it close by." Besides, she figured the sub might need some modifications for future adventures. They couldn't stay in Kalos forever. "While we're waiting... How have you all been?" She asked them all.

*I catch up with the group* Me: Been fine. Did a little exploring the past couple days. As for the sub, it would need to be super buoyant to be able to handle rivers, wouldn't it?

Ace turned toward the sky with a long pause before answering, "Nuthin' much. Days could've been bett'r." After all, she took a break from joining in missions.

Caleb walked outside a few minutes later. The Mudkip walked out behind him, looking about as thrilled as he did before when he realized where they were.
"How many times am I going to have to apologize?" Caleb asked quietly.
"Kiiiiip..." the Mudkip stuck his tongue out at his trainer.
Caleb sighed exasperatedly. He blinked a bit, looking around at everyone gathered outside.
"We're ready to go when you are..." Caleb added to Maddy, rubbing the back of his head.

Maddy smiled as Caleb and his Mudkip finally joined them. "Then let's go!" With that, Maddy led the group from Anistar City. After about a half hour of walking, they reached the outskirts of Lumiose City. Even at this time of night, the city was bustling and loud. Maddy took out her TADS and tapped it's screen a few times. "The submarine has a tracking device on it... The signal is incredibly faint." She frowned. "It doesn't seem too far, though. It did drift downstream a little, though." Maddy pocketed the device and they all continued on their way again, walking towards the river that went around Lumiose. A few patches of grass near them rustled loudly, but she paid them no mind. "I hope you all have swimwear with you. I don't think the submarine will have enough power to surface on it's own."

*I take off my jacket and shirt* Me: Archie or no Archie, if you're part of this team, you should expect to get wet. *I pull out a Pokeball* Me: What about that shaky tall grass over there?

Caleb pulled back the flap of his backpack and put the Mudkip in. He left the flap off so his pokemon could see.
"They still said you should take it easy until the growing pains pass though..." Caleb reminded him. The Mudkip gave a little sigh but didn't argue.
Caleb put his backpack back on and followed Maddy and the others. After walking for so long, he was glad to see Lumiose City come into view.
"At least it didn't go too far..." he said, glad that they wouldn't have much to walk anymore. At least for the time being.
The rustling glass caught his eye, but hearing Maddy really caught his attention. His face went blank when Maddy pointed out that they needed swimwear.
"Umm..." he mumbled. The sleeve of a wetsuit suddenly slapped him in the face. His Mudkip held the other sleeve in his mouth. "Yup...I do actually..." he said looking back at his pokemon.

"Meh, don't mind the grass." Maddy said to Brian as she approached the riverside. She reached into her pocket and drew out the keys to the submarine. She clicked a small button on the key and... nothing. She clicked it a few more times and nothing. "Yup. We'll have to get down there and open the doors manually." Maddy set her handbag down on the ground and began taking her clothes off. She was wearing a bikini underneath. She put her clothes in her handbag for safe keeping. "I assume you all know how to swim. Once we get down there, I'm going to have to unlock the door." She started to explain. "The weight of the water above us will make the door difficult to open, so it'll take all of us and the assistance of a few of our Water-types to get it open." That being said, she released her Frogadier. "Of course, once it's open, we'll have another problem." She continued. "We have to rush inside the sub and force the door closed behind us before it floods. There should still be some trapped air in the main part of the sub, so we'll be safe." She nodded to her Frogadier and the frog Pokémon leapt into the water. "Let's go!" She waded out into the river after her Pokémon companion and, taking a deep breath, dove beneath the surface of the water once she was out far enough. She couldn't see very well underwater, but Frogadier would swim up to her and nudge her in the right direction if she started drifting the wrong way with the current. Eventually, her hands made contact with solid metal and she found the door to the submarine. She began pulling on it, but it just wouldn't budge with just her. She stayed in place and waited for the others to join.
[No reserves. If you wish, you can send out up to two Water-type Pokémon to help out with opening the door. They will earn their evo point for this RP by participating.]
