xd On that note, fifth pic down; we have a new "Why being an Otaku isn't a good thing" pic. I laughed when I saw that picture. It reminded of the other ones I had seen... *shudder* Phoenix315: I've been waiting for someone to recognize the quote. I love the Animaniacs.

That would seem to be best. Student Loans should be readily available and easy to get. As long as you think that you would be able to pay them off later, I don't see how getting some to help with stuff like that would be a bad thing.

Zelyhon That would seem to be best. Student Loans should be readily available and easy to get. As long as you think that you would be able to pay them off later, I don't see how getting some to help with stuff like that would be a bad thing. The thing is, my mom's all like "I don't want you going away to college in the spring if you don't have the money to pay for housing." I mean, my parent's will pay for my education until I go to grad school (I was thinking Berkeley ^^) but I'm on my own for housing. They don't want me to take out loans becuase they don't want me to go into starting life in debt. The thing is, I figure my field will probably pay well enough to where I could pay off my debts eventually. I'm really afraid that I wouldn't be able to go to sfsu this spring, and if I can't, it'll suck on more than one level. The other thing is that I want to spend like, a little money when I'm still here going out with my friends once a weekish, and not have to think about how I might not be able to leave for college every time I get my wallet out. I was thinking of talking to my friend's mom who totally supports me going away as well and that I really should have that "college experience." Another issue is the fact that my brother stayed home for his 4 years of college, so they're saying, "oh, just go to csun like your brother and stay here and meet people around here." I don't think they understand. That and neither of my parents went away to college, really.

Starting college in debt is the American Way, though! xd Seriously, I think that your parents are a bit overanxious about the college loans. Rare are the people who *don't* need some sort of financial assistance like that. Nobody's going to look down on you in the future because you had to take out some loans to pay for a bit of college. I think that if you need them, or if they can help, take full advantage of them.
