On January 3rd, I become 18. It's a bittersweet feeling.

Happy early birthday! ^_^

Des Voh
Cale, any words for my Halo/D&D conversion?
I could use some ideas, if anyone can offer them.

D20 Future and future tech.
All you need should be in there, saving you considerable headache.
I mean Dungeons & Dragons, not d20.

I don't know all that much about Halo aside from the few times I have played with friends but I am going to have to agree with Cale. It's going to be a lot easier to recreate the alien races by using d20 Future and future tech, you can still use them in DnD then. (Huzzah for interchangable game systems!)

Myself and a friend once tried to create a Doom themed D+D campaign.

A Doom themed DnD game sounds fun. Currently one of my side projects is to create a DnD world inspired entirely by Celtic and Norse mythology. If I stick to my plan it should be ready for play by the time summer break rolls around.

That sounds groovy. 3nodding

And, for some reason I've always had a soft spot for Doom. All those other FPSs be damned! xd

Doom was good. I wouldn't damn other FPSs though. Quake has always made quite a bit of an impression. Half-life too, and even its rip-off counterpart halo, tend to have their perks too.

Wolfenstein 3d and Duke Nukem 3d have a special place in my heart as the first two FPS' I ever played.

I remember Doom's Wolfenstein level.

But, aside from Doom, and Dark Forces, I couldn't really get into the genre.

As a single player experience I've played those two and Half-Life, Warhammer 40k: Firewarrior (even though I don't like the Tau that much). For First Person RPGs I've played Oblivion and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic which is pretty much a Fantasy based FPS with some minor leveling stuff it had amazing physics and magic effects but it would crash my system and then stopped working alltogether. The developers didn't even try to patch the incredibly buggy game despite the fact that almost anyone who had the game would have major problems at some point. It could have been so good if they had gooten the kinks out of the system as it was immensly fun to play when it ran, it had one of the best physics engines I have seen.

For multiplayer it's been Golden Eye and some Halo 1 and 2 at friend's houses.

On another note: Blind Guardian rocks my face off!

Yeah, just got the cd on the recommendation of a friend and now I can't stop listening to them. Thinking of picking up another of their albums this weekend.

G'd call. I rather like Nightfall a lot. heart Plus, I remember hearing that the whole album's story is based on a Tolkien book.
