Sajuuk let out an explosive laugh, "Me grow up? I know what I am Marcus, I am an engineered killing machine and I am perfectly fine with that. I chose my path and I walk it with pride. I know my own fault, I know I am imperfect, I have never once denied that. The only guilt she got was form her own. I simply stated a fact. While in my state of meditation I sleep while the other takes control to protect the body. Simple fact is she did almost kill me and now I do not know what the hell I am any more. I have been cut off from Shyesh and forced to seek out another source to sustain my life. Said Sajuuk as he turned the pages back to where he was. "As for my reluctance to get close to anyone. It is part of my job. I am a sentinel, a guardian. We are not supposed to grow close to anyone because of our nature. There are reasons why I chose to walk my path alone without getting close to anyone." Said Sajuuk. "Oh an no amount of research will save you from tactical blunders. Never underestimate human ingenuity, they are smart creatures." he added as he went back to his book, fully expecting Marcus to go into a full blown rage at any moment. He then looked to Rose, "I would hope that he did mean it. Honesty is something we should all aspire to, especially in dire situations like this. yes I look like a complete jerk but he needs to hear it. You lot do make too many assumptions though. Did not one of you stop to think that I had my own reasons for being alone and not wanting anyone to get close to me?"

Soliloquy snorted "sure like they could do that.... Some of us are so strong we can kill whole villages and not break a sweet" she took a sip of blood before continuing. "But they're mouthy ones aren't they".

Frost laughed and sped up, driving with reflexes derived from years of hunting. Pretty soon, she was running neck and neck with Cypher, then she pushed the throttle harder, pulling in front of him. They were nearing the camp, so she'd have to make this last stretch count.
