Atem jumped to his feet, looking alarmed. "Oh! Oh!" He said, then quickly turned and bolted out of the throne room. He went to the first healer he could find, hauling that person over to Nanu. The healer seemed a bit perturbed, but did his duties, as much as he could. He told Atem to go get servants to carry Nanu into the birthing room. "You really are a wonder..." Seto whispered. She was so pale, so strange. And she would soon be his. Mariku smirked at Bakura. "Are you too scared to fight me, thief? You know I can kill you now. You know the consequences." He sneered at Bakura as he struggled to keep an emotionless face. "But very well. I don't want to go after you first, anyway. There are far more victims in the palace."

Nanu was grasping the chair tightly taking deep breaths.
Ayira couldent help but smile softly "My people did consiter me a goddess..."
"Bakura.." Rei called out agian,nervous.

The front door of the house slowly opened, and Mariku looked at Rei, tilting his head to the side a little, examining her. "You look terrible, sweets. Been getting enough sleep?" "They were right to do so." Seto purred, his hands plunging a... little lower than her belly button. Atem skittered out of the room, and sent some servants in. The healer directed them to take her to the birthing room, grumbling about how she should have been in there a week ago. The room was not far, and had a mattress, headrest, mat and cushion and a stool arranged in the area. Once Nanu was taken in there, only female helpers were to be allowed.

Rei staid by the horse that her children were on "Go away mariku..."
A shiver ran down ayira spine her cheaks turning red "Yea..."
Nanu was breathing deeply.

Mariku smiled slightly. "It's what I intend on doing, of course. I wouldn't want to bother you any more than I already have." Mariku winked at Femi. "I'll be back, though. Once I finish some other business." "Are you embarassed?" Seto asked, wondering why Ayira blushed so much. "You've got nothing to be ashamed about." Ayira was taken to the birthing room, and led over to the stool, the delivery seat. Women here usually gave birth kneeling or sitting on their heals. Water was being heated to help with the delivery.

"No...I've just..never been this intiminte before..." ayira said.
Nanu tightly grasped the hand of...well whoever was holding her hand.
Femi whimpered in fright and rei moved the horse a bit away from mariku.

Mariku went over to Bakura's horse. He looked at it for a moment, then hopped on. "Hope you don't mind. I'd rather not walk." He said, before grabbing the reins and riding off. "It's okay." Seto remarked somewhat cheerfully. In his lousy memory, he knew he hadn't personally been with anyone like this, but he seemed to know what to do anyway.

Once mariku left she scooped up the kids quickly heading inside.

Ayira smiled softly and gave seto a kiss "you know your still dressed..."

Bakura had been knocked out, and was sprawled on the ground. "Do you think I should fix that?" Seto asked, kissing Ayira back, pressing closer to her.

"daddy!" femi cried out squirming in her mothers grasps. Rei set them down and hurried over to bakura "it's ok hunny he's just knocked out...."

Seto slipped the kilt off, hardly phased by his own nudity. This just made it easier to get to the important stuff.

It took a while but soon nanu gave birth to a healthy little girl.

Yes, the baby girl was healthy, but the servants were nervous and worried. All births were a wonderful thing, but infants frequently died. Plus, they had been informed of Nanu's decision to feed the child on her own. It was unheard of! A few women were praying to the deities Thoth, Hathor, Bes and Taweret. They were linked with birth and infants, in one way or another. Seto had fallen asleep as well, rolling so that his back was to Ayira.
