I completely understand. Doctoral graduates deserve their title due to having achieved not only a terminal degree but also the highest leve of degree (that I know of, anyway).
I love learning, so why not get more schooling. Aside from that, I would like to achieve the same level of degree as my father (though his was a medical doctorate).

My goodness that was scary. Got a taxi to the airport, and after a minute the driver started getting really verbally hostile toward me. I had only said smalltalk and niceties thus far, and she just kept getting angrier and was referencing things I had no clue about. I tried to be calm, but she also oscillated between anger and seeming normalcy. Let's just say that I'm thankful to have gotten the the airport safely. I think I'll go hide in a corner somewhere...

I think I will remain in school for the remainder of my life if for no better reason than to keep the student loans at bay . . .and as for the taxi, I have only ever ridden in one once, and am convinced he tried to rob me, but I only had so much money on me. He was not pleased, but took what I had to give.
I win.
As for you, go hide and keep yourself safe, my friend. You make an old man worry . . .

Happy Memorial Day!
Well that works. 3nodding
It was quite a an unnerving situation. I've had to ride in taxis on quite a few occasions, so I guess it's not a huge surprise I'd eventually run into a bad one. Regardless, a good night's rest makes everything seem better.

Yeah, a good night's rest keeps people sane from time to time, and minor issues just melt away. ^_^

Most definitely.
Oh, news of a new Tenchi Muyo series, though it will be a bunch of 5 minute shorts instead of full eps. Regardless, I'm excited.

I'm somewhat spoiled by the OVA series . . . nothing else seems to measure up. Additionally, I grow leery of 5 minute episodes and such. With only 2.5 minutes to set up the crisis, there can't be much time for any real story. I'm not trying to down it too much, just saying not sure about this one.

I agree that the OVA was best. I also enjoyed Universe, but Tokyo wasn't very good.
I believe it will just be gags, so story will be optional. Either that or the plot will build up over many episodes.

*shrugs* I love comedy as much as the next man, but kinda want a story to a series. If you want to hold my attention over more than a couple episodes, there should be a definitive arc or plotline other than "laugh at this." Character development is a big plus. Reminds me of Babylon 5. When it first was proposed, executives were very doubtful that people would wait 5 years to see a plotline complete, and yet many years after the completion . . . there is a die-hard fan base, myself included.

I agree. I don't doubt most of the short gag shows at least have character development. I'm usually not a fan of the short format either, but "Tonari no Seki-kun" has changed my mind.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/tonari-no-seki-kun-the-master-of-killing-time It's hard to describe and actually make it sound interesting... It's basically about a high school girl's observations of the male student who sites beside her and always goofs off during class. I thought the concept sounded completely retarded at first, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

Not really trying to sell it, as it's very difficult to and not for everybody.
Ah, cool. Enjoy. I just purchased a Wii U, actually, so I'll be enjoying some Wind Waker HD soon.

I'm absolutely loving the crap out of Second Son. The powers are fun, and being the completionist I am, I am getting powered up quite a bit as the story works forward. I evidently am already 61% through it in two days . . . but that is going full-hero. Next will be complete asshat.
