Vladimir descended down into the depths of the cavern and almost immediately, he could smell something not natural. It smelled almost sour, and there was the scent of copper in the air. The ripe odor would have choked the average person but he was of the family Kravinoff, and he, his brothers and father all hunted the most dangerous of prey on this planet and had 'always' come across with success.
He held the torch up and pulled out a dagger as he scraped a bit of a substance on the cavern wall and sniffed it, and immediately recoiled his head. Nothing so foul did he ever smell before as he did now in that small blot.
His curiousity peaked and the thrill of the hunt ignited further, he moved to the edge of the tunnel's end, which opened into a far greater cavern beneath the woodland grounds. Even before he stepped through, he heard the sound of what had to be insect wings.
Hundreds of insect wings.
He stepped through and held the torch up and his eyes widened.
SCREEEEEEECH!!
The mouth of the cave...noone above ground could hear the screams of the teenager in the depths of the caverns below.

"Where do you think you're skitterin' off ta, Chris?"
::Evan McCullough put his arm around Chris's shoulder as Digger sidled up to him.::
"We've been looking all over for yeh. Don't ya know, you're late for a very important date?"
::Evan was chronically unable to avoid making an Alice in Wonderland reference if given half the chance. Digger nodded, and the two 'led' Powell away from Blackhawks and over towards the tree in front of the school's Apartment building. Underneath it, dressed in a low-cut orange dress that wasn't really appropriate for the weather, sat Lisa Snart, with an enormous picnic spread all around her.::
"Chris! There you are! I knew Digger and Evan would find you. I know you like picnics, so...."
::She smiled and held up a freshly baked cherry pie. Evan nudged Chris with his foot by lightly kicking behind his knee, forcing him to sit down. The two Rogue Boys stood back and looked at Lisa. She hissed at them between her teeth.::
"That's enough. Scram!"
: razz olishing up her smile, Lisa leaned close to Chris and stroked his hair.::
"Finally, a chance for us to be alone and talk..."

::Lisa smiled and unwrapped egg salad sandwiches::
"I think you deserve a girl who doesn't have mood swings where she breaks up with you in the morning, yells at you in the afternoon, then spends the evening making out with you so that you'll forget and let it all start again the next day."
::Lisa was REALLY up on the latest gossip.::
"I think you need a girl who's at the top of all of her classes and all of the popularity charts. A girl who appreciates a sensitive man like yourself."
::snuggling in close to him again, she handed him a sandwich and smiled.::
"I hear that you're quite the musician, to go with the incredible rhythm you've shown as a cheerleader. You're SO talented."

"Oh, your roommate complained loud and long, bumping around into things, that the two of you spent the night making out ON TOP OF HIM, that's all. Everyone thought he had a concussion or something till they sent him to the nurse's office and found out he'd been blinded somehow.
Oh....did your 'girlfriend' forget to mention that? Or was she too busy trying to distract you from her mood swings?"
::Undeterred, Lisa unwrapped a ham sandwich and offered it to him with a smile.::
"Don't you feel bad, there's no way you could have known that she wanted to get her freak on in a roommate sandwich."

*Lessons with Mr. Rogers were helping already. Chris recognized the 'divide and conquer' scheme that Lisa playing.*
Oh, Lisa, let's stop talking about Cassie. You implied you can do things for me. What kind of things? You must want something in return.
*Chris took the ham sandwich from her and made a show of waving it around before setting it down. After all the rumors he heard about the girl, he sure as heck wasn't gonna eat anything she offered him.*

::Lisa snuggled up closer to him, realizing that one of the cheerleading team had noticed the two of them together.::
"I want a guy who asks me how my day went. Who wants to dress up in fun matching costumes for Halloween. Who respects me as a person, and not just as a tremendous pair of....legs, but still enjoys those, too. Christopher, I'm tired of dating bad boys. I'm tired of this reputation I have that says I'm...shallow, or a gossip. I admit, I'm a little jealous of Cassandra. Because she doesn't appreciate you the way you should be appreciated. Which is all the time. Without crazy mood swings. Without ever having to question that you're the greatest boyfriend of all time."
::Lisa smirked at herself a little bit. Oh yeah, that purple cheerleader was definitely spying on the two of them.::

Clarice felt bad about staring, so she walked on. She'd try Wally's room and see if he was there. Whatever Chris and this girl were so animatedly talking about was none of her business anyways. She'd let Cassie worry about that.. She headed up to the boy's dorms

Billy walks into the cafeteria and has a heaping helping of Ferdinand's mystery meatloaf on his tray. He turns around with said tray in hand and sees Chris being snuggle attacked by a she-mastadon of a girl.
"Wow." he murmured to himself. "Chris really must be down to hang with that."

Well that last part about watery tart and scimitar was for Cassie. She'll appreciate the Pythonism when I tell her about this.

::Lisa had been ready for this. Standing on her knees, with the picnic she made thrown all over her, Lisa did the one thing that maybe nobody expected her to do.
She started crying.::
"I....I'm so sorry....*sniff*.....I made all this food and I thought...*sniff* that you'd...you'd....aaahwaaahh......"
::She broke into huge, wet tears, mixing with the egg salad into a real mess. Other students crossing the campus were starting to stop and stare.::
"Dude, what the hell's wrong with that guy?"
::Lisa bawled, well aware that everyone was staring at her and Chris.::
"I didn't mean to ma-ma-make you angry! I just wanted to make you a....*sniff* picnic! Waah....."
