Selina looked down. "I'm almost happy the world is in danger... It makes me feel like I can do something now. I don't have to be second best... Because I'm not like..." She sniffled and stood up suddenly. "I'm going to give Devon a pancake!" She declared, wiping her eyes as she scuttled from the room.

Several moments passed before Selina returned, carrying a plate of pancakes. She glanced at them, and then back at Kai. "You want?" She asked softly, holding the food out to him.
