Distant ancestor more like it. Madera founded the Uchiha clan, battled the First Hokage at the same place Naruto fought Sauske, and probably summoned the Kyuubi to destroy Konoha.

Just so you know people. He never said he was Midara. The correct translation is "I have Midarra's powers!"
Also in the myth the 8 tailed summoned the Kyuubi... actually awoke it. Orochi!

Jiraya speculates that it was Madera though.
Also the Fourth tail is much better in the manga.
Also Also, The Fourth tail kicks a** in Jump Ultimate stars but not as much a** as you'd think.

tobi: IS obito.......you dont get it orochimaru revives people at a whim if he wanted to or in this case he did he would just use that jutsu and revive the damned child.....even if he was crushed the jutsu revives them to perfect health but tobi would need bones (A.K.A the wierd armor and stuff) and the mask hides his identity and is over the eye that wouldnt've been crushed by the boulder......so indeed tobi IS obito.....just think as orochimaru would or anyone as stupid as he

yondaime: IS dead.....he is NOT the akatskui leader....they may look the same but hey if you look at the pictures there are dark sharingan marks where the eyes would be....and that leads to madara uchiha bieng the akatskui leader...he would be the only one that would still be alive and resembles yondaime so he would sully the image of "the great hero of the land of fire"
