ResonanceIllusion I always miss the fuxoring special qualities bit... you have no idea how many times thats gotten me killed in campaigns... like this one time I didn't read the Death throes ability of the Balor... I found out that its not a good idea to challenge one to 1v1 armed combat... even if you are an epic barbarian. Though in my defense, that wasn't on the web page provided.Once again I missed the Special Qualities section. Actually it was on the page provided. I was the one that gave her the link to that site.Nevermind.

^^ Yeah, Balor's are a b***h to fight even when they die. How'd your DM run it? Did it know you were coming, did you ambush it, or did you both start on equal footing?
EDIT: ^^; We feel your pain Sylvr.

Oh, it was a last bid attempt to get the party out of a Demonic Battlefield... Almost worked honestly.. too bad I nuked all of us. Though, he did make a very large mistake, he allowed a player to help construct part of the environment. A Flashback Gareth: So what your saying is that I'm up a tree, with a 10 foot wall in front of it, and 20 level 10 elite guards on the ground with a ladder coming for me, and another two in the balconies of the complex they're guarding, and they're all looking to kill my level 2 character. DM: Yes Gareth: What's just beyond the wall? DM: Random Shrubbery... why? Gareth: I cast 'Ghost Sound' into it DM: One of the Guards takes a torch to the bushes Gareth: What kind of shrubbery did you say it was? DM: I didn't, but for argument's sake let's say its random ferns. Gareth: Hemlock?DM: Yeah, Sure, why not. Gareth: ::Claps:: Good job, you just killed all your own guards. ::Goes into a long explanation on the history, chemical make up, and effects of the Hemlock Bush::

Nice one. That's why GM's shouldn't allow players to chose things like that and when a player tries, go with something different.

DM: All the guards make their fortitude saves, as the gas is lighter than air it effectively smokes you out as well. If Hemlock's as nasty as you say, seeing as this effectively makes it an inhalent type poison attack, and you're what level again? Two? Fort. Save is DC24.
And your tree's on fire now.
@Rose: Woot! ^_^

Actually, if the wall is between the tree and bush...how does it spread? O.o Though it is the GM's call and a GM can do s**t like that....
^^' Ya, she might freak out a little at seeing him, but she might try to...use him. Information, wise.

DM: Fire jumps. =/ And the wind direction changed. Roll for a fortitude save before all the guards get surprise rounds with crossbows.

Cole: XD see, and this is where the DM's incompetence comes into play.... he didn't think to do that. Rule 2 of being a DM... if a player ever makes you break the above rule, use it to screw him over as a lesson for later.
