So you want the elves to be albinos who have a CR of 28? confused Personally I wish the base elf race were the wood elves. (Which is pretty much what they are doing for 4ed. Yay!) Besides as cool as elves are everyone knows dwarves always win in the end. It's the beards, a race whose males can't grow facial hair is predestined to lose.

Your actually gonna play 4th Edition? Wow...

Well, at least they'll keep making 3.5 books. So I'm happy. Although most of the better games I've played used the books only for reference and played freestyle, some of the best times I've had.

I might. The stuff I have read on it makes it seem like an appealing option to me. The changing of fighters is a good idea, and I also like theless of an emphasis on Vancian magic for spellcasters. Also the change in cosmology is pretty cool. (I like the new origin for devils and demons) And most of all the streamlining and consolidation of the rules. (Because really why do hide and move silently have to be different skills? My only real problem so far is the making of Dragonborn core. I will probably buy the players handbook when it comes out and if I like what I see I will go on from there.

Eh, it all seems ok, but the PBH is gonna probably be about $80, if not a little less. I haven't done too much research into it aside from what Wizards showed us over the summer, with is all just a bunch of hogwash, showing off that they'd reach the digital age, a place that traditional D&D should never go near.
The dungeon builder is nice and all, but I'd rather get a ceiling projector, hook it up to my computer and download the dungeon builder, project it down onto the kitchen table.

All in all, you cant put limits and rules on fantasy. The rules in a PHB, DMG, and Rules Compendium (a barrel of laughs more like it) are more of guidelines to help people develop their own style of freelance system of playing.

Price of books hasn't changed. Still between $30-$40, and I'm not going to be using the online content probably.

You've totally lost the quality of everything I just said.

Have you ever played the older additions with THAC0 and a non-feat fighter? Be glad if you haven't, it was fun while I played it but I will never go back to AD&D.

I'll probably skim through the books for ideas, and do what I always do:

Utilize the information to make really fantastic stories and stuff, and let imagination take place of the rather overbearing rules and sometimes annoying dice rolls.

On a side note: Moo.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Once, my friend was playing a very talkative wizard, got his head cut off while bothering a guy, his mouth just kept going as his head rolled down the road. Had to duct-tape it back onto his body.

Yeah.

I can't wait for tonight. We're gonna do somethign called "guitar idol". Essentially, me and about twenty people are gonna rock all day and night. Hook up Guitar hero, and play that, while someone sings the lyrics. Whichever group is the most entertaining as voted by the group gets free breakfast at IHOP!
