Al's eyes narrowed. He had never heard of a case that such a thing like this would ever happen. This..apparation was aware of his presence and could also interect with him. the same arura from the door also floated around him, he'd have to write this down somewhere. His own smirk matched the evil beings. "well isn't it a good thing I'm not a child" His hand slipped from the door to run over one of he nails that was tainted with drops of blood. It was old but a light snack would probabbly do him good. He licked his fingers, the taste was a little stale and sharp like a a rusted knife cutting through a frozen corpse. "Although the fact that you, a shaow of a memory, feel you can tell a being of pure matter what he can and can't do is laughable. Now go crawl back into that door to whichever memory you call a home and be a good little civillian. " He snorted and returned his attention back to the door, stepping around it to look at the otherside. the where very much the same, The only diffrence was everything was on the opposite side, like looking at a refelction of a door. Was there a possibility the bing he had just talked to was the small chuckle he had heard within the other memory? He decided then and there that Kohaku's mind was not only beautiful but unfathomable and shrouded in infinate darkness as well as possibilites. Hence it looked much like a solar system which to the beings of earth was very much of the same prospects.

The man seemed to ignore his comment and disappeared for a brief moment, appearing again when Al reached the other side of the door. "Mmmm, you're not as smart as I thought you were, kiddo." The man said, seemingly unphased by anything. "I'm no memory... I am still very much in the present... Making these children pay for their b***h mother's mistakes..." He said and laughed at his own words, realizing what he had just said. "But, if you really want to open this door, then go ahead! I'm not stopping you... Though, if you do, the girl would most likely go insane..." He said and sighed happily. "She was the one who did all this.. All the chains, locks, and blood... Kinda sad, isn't it? When you have to hide stuff from yourself just to keep your sanity! Luckily, I never had such a thing..."

Al scowled. When did he ever mention opening the door, although his curousity was starting to tear at him like a bird at his eyes. He was now getting more annoyed by this...man? whatever he was. "Of course I'm not as smart as you first thought,I'm probabbly smarter unlike what I can say to you and I didn't give any notion I was going to open this door. I Also noted that like myself you are not a part of this particular mind. Pray tell what are you and what are you are doing here? I'm guessing you lack the permission of this particular young lady." He ignored the mention that kohaku had done this to herself,it was neither of their jobs to tell her what she could and couldn't keep locked away, regardless if they thought otherwise. his own memories of things were compress away, though not as stubbornly as this but locked to say the least.

The man grinned again and leaned in close to him, staring directly into his eyes. "She belongs to me. Her whole family does. I'm sure you've heard of selling souls to demons, no? Well... Lets just say that something of that caliber happened... Not exactly the same, but very close... But that little b***h... She got away from me... So now, her children pay for her sins." He said with that sickening grin still on his face.

Al leaned back from him, raising an eyebrow. He owned her via a sort of fuastin pack with the mother who seemed to have escaped him. what? was he hoping to attract the mother through the daughter? If she hadn't come before there was little doubt in his mind that she would even come at all. He picnched the bridge of his nose,he didn't really care for this any more. nor was he really involved or knowledgeble to have an opinion. "So what? She dies and you own her soul or some s**t like that? Or do you just plan to keep her a mute?" He rolled his eyes and walked past him. this was begginning to get boring now,he'd come for what he wanted and now he was held up by this. If he had more time and wasn't inside somebody he might have stayed and chatted for longer. But he wasn't so he couldn't. "that's great and all but if you think telling me you dabble with affairs of the soul and smiling like a joker will make me react in any particular way your wrong. If you think you can punish someone through a single being you're a joke. This girl will eventually die or come near death at some point tonight on my behalf so you've gained practically nothing unless there's more to the agreement you have. sure her mother and family will be sad but they'll get over it." He shrugged and began to walk away in an eastern direction, finding the way out was always a little more difficult then getting in. He'd have to find the memory of what kohku was doing at present,it would be more like a door in mid-construction.

The man just kept smiling as he walked away. "I believe you'll see me again..." His voice seemed to turn into a whisper and fade out, disappearing into the starry abyss. A little farther away from that door was another one. This door appeared to be only half of itself.
Back in the Fallen Star, Kohaku was sitting back at the table she had been at before, her head laying on the table. She sighed and wondered why she felt so sad all of the sudden. It was one of those feelings she got when something bad was either happening or about to happen. But she just couldn't figure out what.

Al ignored the last part, why would he see him again? stupid assumptions. Then again with this new development in Kohaku he was now finding more reasons to let her keep the majourity of her life than not. He was begginning to feel more like a researcher than himself, was kohaku even aware that that being was also there? It seemed not or surely she would have warned him, unless she'd been planning for that monster to destroy him.It wasn't out of the question, it had happened a few centuries before.
as the voice faded out he noticed the half door, still solidifying down the bottom but it was a memory in progress. He took a confident step into it,feeling the familiar coolness of stepping into nothing only to be met by solid ground a few minutes later, back in the fallen star and sitting next to Kohaku, a sad expressio on her face made him wonder if he had tampered with anything too much, that wack job of a man for a start. He looked clam and collected despite his previous irritation but he merely whispered over her shoulder, "Hope you didn't miss me to much."

Kohaku raised her head up and looked at him, her frown quickly fading and her happy smile returning. She was becoming a little afraid that something bad had happened to him. Though, she was quite curious to what he found. She wondered if he had acquired what he was looking for.

"you had a beautiful voice, although I didn't know you had a brother." He didn't mention the brief brush with whatever that being was, best leave it not mentioned for now right? "so I hope it didn' get to lonely here." he added.

Kohaku raised up two fingers, trying to say that she had two brothers... Well... She had three at one time.. But she wasn't going to get into that. She was glad that he had found what he was looking for.. She thought back to when she could speak. She really loved her voice.. Back then Fang didn't mind smiling once in awhile and running around outside.. And Artemis wasn't so scared of and hateful against dogs... She supposed that they had all changed dramatically... Mostly for the worst... She sighed softly and tried not to think sad things anymore.

he looked at her for a minute,so it was two brothers, where had the other one been exactly? unless of course he was the younger of the two,not yet born..or adopted. He stood up to go get himself a drink from the bar, Kohaku's reflection in the glass. he was half surprised not to see the demon's face in it instead, wouldn't have unsettled him given the course of events so far.

Out of all three of them, Artemis was the one who resembled their mother most of all... He had a lot of her wisdom, same taste in top hats, same attitude, and the same ears and tail... But one thing that was different is that he wasn't much of an outside person in those days... He was like a lazy housecat.. Always lounging around in the house or playing with the other cats, who seemed to treat him like he was one of them.Though, he did go outside every once in awhile. Kohaku watched him as he walked over to the bar and yawned a little. This was the first time she had actually been out so late, though it was a good idea since her brothers were sleeping and they wouldn't be following her out. She thought about how ticked they'd be if they knew she was sneeking out and smiled. They worried too much.. It's not like she was gonna run into a murderer or get kidnapped or something... She hoped.

"you sure you don't want anything? doesn't have to be alchoholic." He offered to her again, holding up a small glass, his own left on the bench, now filled with a honey-colored wine with small air bubbles floating to the surface. Under the light they looked more like diamonds than bubbles.

Kohaku sighed and got up, sitting on the bench next to him. She looked at one of the menus and looked for a second. Half the stuff on the menu she had never heard about. Then she saw Coke listed there and pointed to that, smiling. She hadn't had any soda in awhile.

Al looked towards where she was pointing, there seemed to be only original coke. A relief that he wouldn't hald to stand there and name the other five that now existed. Stupid promotional crap, when would they learn that if they were earning enough money to make a new product, the public already liked what they were selling. He bought over the glass, his own drink already one third finished. He could feel himself already become tipsy this was his what? fourth drink tonight if he included the previous places he had been so far, Maybe it hadn't have been wise to use up so much of his alchoholic intake limit on the last girl, then again it had been worth it in the long run. "So,you know classical. what about literacy?"
