"Wuzzah..?" Soqed mumbled, looking around tiredly as she began to hear dulled thumping.
". . .s**t!" She yelled, rolling herself out of bed and running to the door, slamming it closed. She then jumped up, pulling down on a string that opened a trap door as a ladder slid out, leading into an attic.
"The one time I need nothing to happen!" She groaned as she began climbing up the ladder.

Pleeeeaaaaase go away... Please go away... Please go away... Soqed began to chant in her mind, afraid to speak now. Berserkers were known to be blind, but having the most sensitive hearing of their species. Just the slightest noise would send them into a charge.
