pawntakesknight haha im a big enough guy where i can take a beating and dish it out (im not a big fan of fighting if i can help it though) i am thinking of taking a karate class or jiu jitsu class over the summer to learn a proper self defense. i actually really want to take aikido as well. lol, I was thinking about Aikido. It's japanese sword fighting, right? I think there are some classes at the local community centre, and they have a wodden sword hire too 3nodding

I totally forget which fighting style is all sword based though. But I just know it's maticulous and you train on only perfection of movement.

And also capitalizing on the idea of force and counterforce of your opponent ^_^ Gomen if I sound like a nerd of Marital Arts but Studying over 3 styles can make you a bit obsessed ^^;;;;

My japanese teacher says that sorry is sumimasen, but doesn't that mean excuse me, or a different meaning of sorry...... *So confuzzled*

sumi-mase usually is used for minor things like excusing yourself. Gomen Nasai is a bit stronger and used when you REALLY screw up. But in this country everyone switches it around so much that no one can distinguish between the two.
also Sumi-Masen I'm guessing it's a more direct like word, like excuse me. But I've never heard of that one before. But then again, I've basicly learned all my japanese from anime, a small japenese 101 book and friends that teach me a few words here and there.
