It's like a mouse shaped like a pen, but the pressure you put on it when you press determines how dark or light your strokes show up. I couldn't live without mine. I've had my graphire tablet for 4 years now and it hasn't died yet. 3nodding You can get bigger/better/more advanced tablets, but they also cost more. If you're not using it seriously, the graphire one is just fine. You can get them quite cheap if you shop around or buy refurbished ones.
