Duellist =+(MusicBox)+= ][No biggie Duellist. o.o; Hakan has returned!][ ((Good... *Tomb Raider Theme starts to play*)) "You ready to prove yourself yet?" The vampire asked, idly picking his teeth. "There's treasure to find, and monsters to slay..." ~~ Taryn nodded, and faded out thoughtfully. Her eyes had started to brighten up, as if she was planning to take action when she got home... -The girl nodded, watching Taryn simply vanish before she could reach her again. Oh, and that voice from behind!! She spun on her heel, eyes catching a hold of his features. For a moment she felt like screaming. There they were again, those bewitching eyes that had gotten her into some form of trouble the first day they met. Bewitching.. yes, that had been the very same word that had crossed her mind at the moment. Now she was unsure wether she should run for the hills or run for his arms. After a moment's hesitation, she chose the latter...only to stop short of an embrace at the sound of Duellist's voice. It made her want to groan. Taryn had mentioned those catacombs once, he'd mentioned them at least twice in her presence... If the vampire wanted to know what was down there so badly, why didn't he go himself? Something was amiss, she could sense it. She'd already lost a friend once when her gut felt the same way it was at the moment---and Mimi would be damned if she lost another...besides, Hakan was not just any friend.- Treasures.. monsters?

Ohh, was there a hint of worry in her voice? Ohh, the draw backs of having someone to care for. Although the pros were amazing, truely.. There were still very few, nagging cons. He would wipe that over confident smirk from his face, replacing those twisted lips with that of a warm, reassuring smile. "It'll be okay Ky-chan. I'll be able to take on any silly beast, and Duellist will be giving me some of the treasure." He would state. And damn straight! Duellist better be sharing half of it, if not more.. Because damnit, Hakan just knew that he would be doing most of the work.

=+(MusicBox)+= "Where?" Hakan would first ask. It was a bit of important information he needed, after all! If he knew where, exactly, these beasts were, he could ready himself for battle. For example, if these beasts were underground, they were prone to be weakened by elements such as fire or light, and so.. Hakan would be able to base his attacks on fire jutsu easily, given the chance to prepare himself correctly. If not, well.. He'd manage. Nothing to worry about! "Oh, they're in some tunnels... nothing big, nothing you can't handle. The most dangerous thing you're likely to find is the chimera Taryn accidentally released. And I'll be sending you with something to handle that." Duellist had said that entire sentence in less than ten seconds, and added a tone of Command as well, besides. "You should be done in just an hour. Really." He paused, as if a thought had occured to him. "Or... ah... you're afraid, aren't you?"

One of his favorite jutsu would be in order, fire based. But up against that chimera.. He was pretty sure only physichal blows would do the trick. ][I'll be stealing a dandy little trick from Naruto. ninja ][ Rubbing his chin, he would begin to move his hands through various hand seals at first. Obviously, this was somthing that he had not once done in his life time. "Come now, Duellist. I don't fear jack." Not even Duellist himself, but Hakan felt that was unnessicary. If all went well, he would be able to clear away the minor beasts with ease, and slay the chimera with a trick he'd put into works recently, it was with the help of the other spirit that he would be able to successfully do this. "Lead the way." He would state in a bored tone.

It was inexplicable, really, the shape her expressions became twisted upon having the words that had left each of the man's mouths. Her brows furrowed gently, a steelish spark flashed amid the violet swirls of her eyes, even in the manner that the muscles of her jaw flinched. Perhaps Mimi really was a force to be reckoned with. There was a part of her, after all, undeniably feral. A part of her was fierce, wild, somewhat untamable even if she tried her best to ignore it. - If you go, I go. -Indeed, she meant it-- and it was obvious that the gentle little Mimi was serious. In fact, the same fierce determination that had taken a hold of her when Ryoko had returned seemed to wash over her.- And I won't take no for an answer.

"But of course, Monsieur Hakan... you are truly blessed... and..." The vampiric assassin turned, suddenly, and fixed Mimi with a steely stare. "Excuse me, Miss Kusanagi... I'm sure I misheard you, but let me check. You just said you were going to be staying in this hotel, Right? You were most definitely not coming with us, of course... His hypnosis powers working to full effect, he sought out her eyes and held them with his gaze.

Why did it always have to end up like this?! Why, why, why!? It was always the female whom one cared about who always wanted to go! Giving a sigh, he knew Mimi wouldn't take no as an answer. Instead of arguing with her, he would would up two fingers, and obviously this was no peace sign. With a frown on his face, Hakan was worried about her safty. "Please stay inbetween me and Duellist, and no matter what you see." He would pause, before repeating himself. "No matter what you see, you will stay in place." Stated with authority! He wasn't trying to be mean, he wasn't trying to be rude.. More than anything else, Hakan was acting like a parental unit. Silly Duellist.. Such hypnotic powers would not work on Mimi who was so determined.

A dazed look seemed to cross her face and the young girl no longer seemed to be herself. She'd become a puppet, almost. Ah, but she was a stubborn little creature, one had to give her that! Just when her mouth was about to agree (her head already was), something else pulled her back, the placid, marble-like features shifting dramatically. She shut her eyes ,silver locks caressing her face as she shook her head. No, she was not going to give in! Upon opening her eyes, Mimi shot the vampire a glare stern enough to stop prey in their tracks. Her father always said she had potential.- I said if he goes that I would go and nothing is going to change that. -The girl took a step back, taking in a deep breath. Perhaps it was about time that she accepted part of who she was. She'd have to someday... to stand up to Daisuke.- Besides, there are things that only a Bagheera can do that may come in handy...

How Mimi acted just then, he'd seen nothing like it before, especially within his beloved Ky-chan. It left his mouth gaping open for a moment or two, hell.. His eyes even seemed to glaze over. It was amazing, that's what it was! Never did he know, nor suspect that Mimi could be so.. Scary! It made him, grin. He kept his mouth shut, but damn! He would hide those twisted lips though. For the moment, he would randomly play with his hair, twisting silky locks around his finger and staring off into space.

Duellist hissed, almost like an angry snake. Then he softly said, "You will touch nothing. You will obey any order I give. And under no circumstances will you leave my sight. Taryn would never forgive me, and I would never forgive myself, if something happened to you. Understood?" The vampire sighed, shaking his head. Then he snapped back to attention. "Good. In that case... let us leave this place..."
~~
The world around the three shifted, and the universe shrieked its protest.
~~
They were in Duellist's laboratory. Strange liquids bubbled in pots, and various small creatures frolicked in cages on the wall. The vampire gestured to the opposite wall, though. There, a large hole almost pulled at the air around it, opening into an inky black void. "I assume you both have infravision?"

There, a large hole almost pulled at the air around it, opening into an inky black void. "I assume you both have infravision?" "Infra-what-zit?" Hakan would asked with an arched brow. He wouldn't give Duellist time to give an answer. Due to the darkness of the building, and the oncoming darkness of the tunnel Hakan began work on his newest trick. He needed a good while to prepare his trick. And with any luck, he wouldn't need to move very much while below the earths surface. And due to the lack of vision, Duellist and Ky-chan would more then likely be able to only creak cracking of bones and stretching and popping of muscles. What exactly was he doing? Popping his neck or something of the sort? No, this sounded much more painful. If there were any light, they would be able to see his back become deformed. In truth, while waiting for Duellist to fill them in on anything they may need to know, he was putting a jutsu in effect. One which would eventually replace his spine with a new one, something more durable, made from one's chakra. And once that task was done, his old spine would be set into place to be ripped out. Naturally, once it was also done, the spinme would be transformed into a beautiful weapon, an extreamly long but light sword if you will.

"I assume you both have infravision?" -The girl smirked, the same steely glint that had taken over back there present in her eye, if not dulled considerably. That back there had been a small victory, but one that spoke volumes. It only reassured her that if she put her mind to it she'd be able to show those she needed a thing or two about who she was... and maybe, just maybe, they'd leave her alone and in peace. Upon hearing the vampire's words, Mimi canted her head in agreement. Fine, fine, she'd agree to the rules as long as it was necessary. If she had to break them, then fine, she'd do that too. As to where both men were coming from, she definately understood-- she just hoped they comprehended her position. Orbs abandoned the vamipre's figure at last, allowing those pupils to adjust to the lack of light. Her night vision was beyond great and the fine tuned senses of a cat even better. A wave of fear commenced to wash over her figure, something she most definately held back in the end. Dammit, not now, not here. And so, she gritted her teeth, both as a sign of determination and in preparation for the pain that was to come. Having to change consciously and without the adrenaline was going to be difficult-- especially for Mimi. She'd just have to deal with it.- mhmm

The vampire's eyes gleamed of their own light. Seeing all, and fearing nothing. "If you're done twisting and growing a massive hump," Duellist said, bored, "we need to go down now. There are long tunnels filled with purple tentacle things, and worse, before we reach our goal."
So saying, he turned into a little bat and flew into the hole, angling downwards.
~~
When all three were on the ground, Duellist pointed to the left. "The chimera should be sleeping now... we'll get to the Doorway and the treasure faster if we speed this way..." a dim light came from the distance, revealing etched bas-reliefs.
The vampire's powerful striedes carried him in the opposite direction of the light, deeper into the darkness.

As a demon, Hakan should have been able to see considerably well within the darkness, however.. Hakan instead tied a blind fold he withdrew from his pocket around his eyes. He wasn't trying to be some macho martial artist, it was simply a habit from previous training. Sure, he could see, but this certain habit told him to rely on his ears rather than his sight. He would simply growl at the comment Duellist made, but Duellist wouldn't be laughing later on! Oh, no.. It would hurt like a son of a b***h, but Hakan would have, in his mind, the most beautiful weapon known to Gaia and the worlds beyond! And so, he would wait for Mimi, beginning on another set of hand seals, before walking along, keeping his concentration set on his ears instead of his blurring hands. Beasts would attack sooner or later!

She found it hard even to fight back the screams lodged in her throat-- hence the reason she maintained a fairly humanoid figure despite the obvious feline features prominently displayed. She could have gone completely feral--she'd already done that particular mistake once, the night of Sirus' death. Now it was a taller, stronger Mimi that followed along in silence, once humanoid skin now covered in soft white and grey fur. She was no longer in her midway point betwen human and feline as those sharper, claw-like nails could attest, as well as those animalistic fatial features. The girl could only frown and follow, those ears twitching every now and then as if trying to find something that her eyes could miss.-
