Crawley can't be the best. I had to carry him to the 2009 HoH finals where he finally stepped into the ring, only to throw the fight in like three posts.
Also, you're all dumb and I need to eat more percocets.
And DOTO 2 is DOTA 2.

Sigil Warden I won TL;DR: Mutual Selling doesn't work, bro. The conclusion does not follow. (ps btw, I didn't really specifically mean you were a dirty no-seller. More touching on what Crawley pointed out just now about the axes. That's why no one's taking a direct, full frontal assault axe hit.) (pps i thought the oil s**t was sooooo freaking hot.)

The Thunder Tyrant Crawley can't be the best. I had to carry him to the 2009 HoH finals where he finally stepped into the ring, only to throw the fight in like three posts. I was young and impressionable .. and drunk... Popped a molly and was sweating... WOO.

Grim Skies Look, I get you super-macho, super-smart internet bad asses that say RP fights shouldn't be about peace and good feelings and care bears and s**t. And that it should be about a sort of logic puzzle of getting your opponent into a trap through superior maneuvering. But the fact is, RP fights are RP. Period. RP is and will always be co-op mode. Or your potential fellow RPers will simply take their toys and go play in another sandbox. RP fights are like 3/4 RP, 1/4 fight. Otherwise it's simply a debate about an imaginary fight like OMG WHO WOULD WIN SUPERMAN OR BATMAN??? and any RP is completely unnecessary embellishment at that point. Hint: No one wins. I gotta say, my fight with ImNoHero was the exception. We didn't Pm each other ONCE, and s**t ran smoother than prison butt sex.

Sigil Warden Geez, you make me sound like I've never taken a hit in my life. I give my opponent a hit if I can't think of a reasonable way to defend against it, given the nature and knowledge of the character in question. In my fight with Slash (which I don't know how I won but w/e), I got my s**t wrecked by Dithakar. Boop here, boop there, boop there, oil, grappling hook, slam boop, boop on the head, oh s**t I'm being judo thrown over the shoulder by my neck. The end. Why? because Tyra doesn't know s**t about hand to hand. her idea of martial arts is gouging someone's eyes out or hitting them with something metal in as direct a manner as possible. My reward was Slash going 'whoop! I dodged!' to every axe attack. The only damage he took was because his Save VS Suck roll bombed, otherwise even Death Coil would have been shrugged off. I've also given Fierach his fair share of hits so far when I felt I had no defense against them, and am rewarded by the same kind of BS. TL;DR: Mutual Selling doesn't work, bro. Your oversimplifying it. Selling isn't simply about taking hits. Its more complex than that. However we largely agree. Like I just said, taking hits that your character wouldn't logically have let happen is just as bad as not taking hits at all. I never really 'give' people hits. However if my opponent does something that would logically work and Tres for whatever reason can't defend or counter, then it happens. However when it happens, I treat it as an opportunity to give the opponent their do. To make them look good because they earned it by highlighting and expressing the effects of their successful attack. I play them up and try to use the effects of that attack to improve the narrative flow of the fight. By doing so, I get three things: 1. A more realistic fight. 2. An opponent who has fun because not only do they feel that there post matter but they feel like their creation, their character, is being acknowledged for its traits. 3. An opportunity to display who my character is in the light of adversity. To use that negative circumstance as an opportunity to have my character learn, to change their strategies and make the fight more interesting.

I played DoTA 2. Did some Shadow Shaman woowoo-snake + force rod bullshit on Cog, made his ancient computer lag out so he'd die instantly as his beloved Invoker.
Was not impressed. Went back to making people cry on League.

Gonna take a shower. Then.
Tres. It's time I show you how weak your "goody goody selling" is.
It's time to retire. And I'm gonna hand out the pink slip.

I think it's hilarious that we're at like 5 judge calls in this round.
In less than a week.

DOTA 2 is the only MOBA I could really see myself playing anymore. I played SMITE, but it got tiresome pretty quick, mostly because playing a physical carry is ezmode.

I've been in GTBs II, III, IV and HoHs 2008, 2009, and 2011.
I have made or been in three judge calls total, despite being in the finals for four tournaments (ergo participating in the maximum amount of possible rounds more often than not).
One was in the GTB. Two were in HoH 2011 against Vintrict in the same fight.
If you persistently find yourself at an impasse with your opponents or finding s**t to complain about.. it's probably something on your end, to be completely honest. You're doing something wrong, or something in the way you do things is pushing your opponent to consistently react in a negative fashion.
