rolleyes Okay Alex.
My eyes are fuzz... *laughs* I'm so tired! Hubby's cooking something though, so I don't want to be rude and just crawl into bed w/o eating, and leave him to clean up dinner and get the munchkin to bed.
Edit: I'm excited now... Looks like my order is next on Kimi's list! heart

-.-
My mother gives me a hug and squeezes hard. When she was done I told her I didn't want any hugs. She gets all pissy and starts slamming things. I head back to my room and she goes and rants to my father, and now they're calling me an unappreciative s**t (among other things) behind my back. Did either of them care to figure out if maybe I was in pain, and didn't want to be touched? Hm? The dipshits..

Good... snowed too much so schools got closed today. And the pain has eased a bit, so I'm finally able to sit for 5 minutes without having fits in my back @-@

I've got much too much work to do today. Like... Six hours of cleaning without breaks. And on top of that, my "problem" is acting up again, which I need to have cleared up tonight, no exception. >__<

I watched Memoirs of a Geisha recently. Spent most of the movie saying, "what the ****?" to myself in the privacy of my mind. What's really bad is that they pissed off at least one book fan and most likely confused the people who didn't read the book.
What proof is there in the movie that Pumpkin was finding out Sayuri's feelings for the Chairman? None. Only the people who read the book knew it was coming. And what's the use of having old!Sayuri narrate when you don't explain to the audience that the book is based on the fictional premise that a former geisha is telling the author her life story decades after the book ends?
here's my take on the movie. i really think the movie people had to move things around a bit because most vital parts of memoirs of a geisha is subdued and revolved around lengthy conversations. spoiler: for example, the last scene with sayuri and the chairman at the teahouse. that scene in the book has a lot of conversation, but it's not sexy enough to be on film. actually, it probably is, but the movie people wanted something flashier. so it left a lot of people unsatisfied, which was a pity. that scene's so beautiful in the book.
i watched with with a couple of friends who never read the book, and they told me they thought the whole thing was beautiful, until they got to the very end and it just... ended o.o
and don't even get me started on how the movie people tried to make the whole thing american-friendly! it sucked that they completely went over the whole minister of finance thing and used an american GI instead. geebus.
@kochiyo: i like that hair you got on the emoticon xdheart.
