Mat no just when I could have the largest armored vehicle in the Imperium save perhaps a Iron Hand fortress monastery why not? Those things are huge, even bigger than the Capitol. eek

I'm soooo tempted to start a Guard army from what I've heard, I might actually break my vow and start a new 40k army while I'm still studying. sweatdrop

well you dont have to have a Army. Start with 500 points, that to me is more of a Strike Force. 1850+ thats a army.

I'm going to need a load of men to get a legal army though. Unless platoons aren't required, thus allowing you to field veterans and penal legionaries as troops. That would allow me to field a legal Guard army straight out of the battle force box.

Lady Blodwynn Van Evok, this is the Imperial Guard thread, not the Space Marines trying to tackle everything the Imperial Guard has thread. xp Thanks, Winnie. I was gonna get on him about that if it had persisted.

Muahahahahahahahha. I've seen the Guard Codex, and read it. I love having a GW manager that knows people very high up.

Jason Da Psycho Muahahahahahahahha. I've seen the Guard Codex, and read it. I love having a GW manager that knows people very high up. Most if not all stores have an advanced copy now, courtesy of the black box that GW sends to each of their official stores. That has nothing to do with having friends in the upper echelons. confused

Only reason they are being special could be because head office has clearly stated that the IG codex is not to be unveiled until after the release of War of the Ring, for fear that a preview codex might steal all the thunder from that release.

I shall have to get in touch with Dan (my local store owner) and beat the hell out of him unless he lets me read the codex.
Seriously, though, I'm looking forward to this. This might be the kick in the a** that I needed to really build my army.
